Dealing with a corporate employee who is so disrespectful. She should not be allowed to discuss any matters with residents until she receives the proper coaching from a customer service stand point.
So disappointed in Greystar.

Would love an email back to discuss someone at a higher level in greystar to discuss.

Upsetting experience following FIRE.

My friend's apartment building caught fire by contractors who were on the roof on September 14th. 8 days ago. It was significant and tenants had to leave with the clothes on their back. It displaced at least 14 families. There has been such little communication in regards to what is happening as far as tenants being able to access their apartments to see whether anything can be salvaged as well as to ask other questions. They can't even gain access to take insurance photos which is delaying everything. I get that some units it may be unsafe, but communicate that. Many have lost everything they own. Basically it's been crickets. They were very eager in wanting to relocate them in an apartment on the property, so that they wouldn't lose the income though. The apartments affected have since been boarded up and those tenants still don't know what's going on. I hope this week, Greystar management steps up and contacts these people, so they don't
feel stalled and lost. It's been very sad to watch those I care about go through this and a lot of tears have been shed. I don't really even fault the business office as I am sure the "lack of" attention to this matter is coming from the top. They seem as lost as the tenants are.

This company is the biggest scam ever

This company is the biggest scam ever! I applied for an apartment and there is no one helping me get my deposit money back. I wasn’t able to get approved for the apartment the company allegedly sent a refund via email. Never received they said it was used this entire process has just been horrible.

RENTERS BEWARE

RENTERS BEWARE ! Terrible Management !
Management is Very rude. After I cancelled my rental application before a move in date the Assistant Community Manager refused to refund my refundable deposit to me and insisted that any refund would be in my child’s name as well as mine although I paid with my name only on the account and my child doesn’t have a bank account. She was upset because I canceled and she would not allow me to pick up the check. I did not have a mailing address since I was moving so she said my refundable refund would be forfeited and sent as unclaimed to the state if I didn’t submit this acceptable mailing address by the next day. No exceptions!
Greystar, Huntcliff Apartments and assistant manager Melissa B. should not be trusted. 7/8/2023

NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I FELT TREATED LESS THAN A HUMAN.

WORST WORST AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I FELT TREATED LESS THAN A HUMAN. When you need help and try to call them, NO ANSWERS. Then they just call you whenever they want, and are RUDE, YELL, and HANG UP on you. I experienced this TWICE IN ONE DAY by two different people from the Collection Department: ANGELA SHIN and BRENDA (I'm not sure of her name as she REFUSED to give it to me again later on), and a KEVIN (the manager who Brenda said he did not have time to speak to me).
I moved out and received some charges from Greystar as the move out fee and received a ledger from them. As I was reviewing the ledger so I got confused and have been trying to reached out and get the clarification from them. Below is the content of the email I sent to Greystar's owner, BOB, as I could not reach anyone when I called the corporate.
-------------------------------------
I attempted to contact the corporate office to report a serious incident involving a member of your team, but I was unable to reach anyone. Therefore, I’m bringing this matter directly to your attention.

I was on a call with Angela Shin (details below), and I encountered some confusion regarding the information on the ledger she provided. The ledger indicated that my total balance is $0, yet I was asked to pay approximately $129. When I sought clarification, rather than explaining the discrepancy, Angela repeatedly stated, "I explained this to you last time and I explained to everyone else and they understand." Eventually, she told me, "If you do not want to pay, that's fine. I will send it to collections."

At no point did I refuse to pay—I simply wanted to understand the bill. I asked her to stop and informed her that I felt I was being accused unfairly. She responded, "Isn't that true? You didn’t want to pay, so you kept asking." I again asked her to stop and requested to speak with her supervisor. She replied, "Okay, someone will call you," and then abruptly hung up on me.

I waited an hour but did not receive a callback. I have since attempted to contact your office multiple times at the 9400 and 0010 numbers, but my calls were directed straight to voicemail.

-------------------------------
As I was waiting for your response, I received a call from a woman who identified herself as Brenda (though I’m uncertain about her name, as she refused to confirm it when I asked). Right from the start, she asked, "How did you want to pay?" with an attitude. I remained calm and asked if she was the manager. She informed me that she was not and that Angela's manager was Kevin. When I requested to speak with Kevin, she said he was busy and didn’t have time for me, so he asked her to call instead.

I explained that I didn’t want to discuss the payment at that moment and wanted her to listen to my concerns. However, Brenda started off the call with attitude and continually interrupted me, arguing and raising her voice, making it impossible for me to finish my sentences. When I attempted to recount my interaction with Angela, Brenda responded, "I do not care and I do not need to know." This dismissive attitude only escalated my frustration. When I asked for her name again, she refused, stating, "I don’t have to give you names. Why do you keep asking?" and then hung up on me. I remember while she was arguing with me, she told me again "Kevin will probably not have time to call you back".

This is the second time today that your staff has called, yelled at me, and hung up. Feeling exasperated, I contacted Citron Apartments in hopes of getting in touch with the right person. Unfortunately, I was met with more resistance. When I asked for another number to report a complaint or for the corporate number, they simply told me to "use the number in the email" and refused to assist further even though I told her the only number I got from the collection department was from the women that was rude to me and I DO NOT WISH to talk to her again. I asked her if 9400 is the corporate number and she told me " I do not know" and not even want to go and look up.

I had hoped to resolve this issue internally, but after this experience, I feel I have no other option but to share this incident with the community to ensure others are warned and hopefully not subjected to the treatment I’ve received.

Please ensure that any future communications with me are recorded to avoid any misunderstandings or accusations of me fabricating these experiences.

Heights at Interlocken CO. Shocking mess of an apartment

ow I know without a certainty that this email will never see the CEO but what the heck I’ll write it anyway for proof of contact. I moved into Heights at Interlocken in Broomfield CO a week ago. Since my move in I’ve sent in about 13 maintenance requests and several emails to property people who don’t answer emails, phone calls, or texts. I’ve had one person only answer me, and that takes days. And this was before my move in. The apartment I rented should NEVER have been rented out. It has a tremendous amount of work before anyone should have moved in. I’ll start with the paint. It was painted in probably 30 minutes. Paint is all over the floors and bathroom tiles. All over the bathroom towel and shower holders. The bathroom caulking is a horrible mess. All over everything. The cabinet in the bathroom has a hole in the side. Has burn marks on the counter. The washer and dryer don’t work. The dishwasher doesn’t work. Now this was my last straw. The kitchen island counter has a large crack all the way down the middle, and it was painted over with silver paint! Good God. The door stop was broken off, and the outside of the front door need painting desperately. It’s very embarrassing and I notice most of the other doors have been recently painted. That would take all of 4 minutes. Now the cleaning of the place. Did I say cleaning? Very little cleaning and terrible job of it. On the bottom of the oven is a huge amount of dog hair. The faucet in the kitchen wasn’t working and has been replaced. The faucet in the bathtub leeks and looks like it’s about to fall off. And that’s what I’ve noticed in a week. Greystar should be horribly embarrassed and ashamed to have someone move in to a rundown mess like this.

Worst renting experience ever

I lived in this building for 2.5 years. The first 2 years were great- it was managed by 33 management. That all changed when Greystar took over the lease. From there on out, the building QUICKLY deteriorated. There were security issues with the front and back doors locking- there were cops in the building because of a tenant security issue. The main issue is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to contact anyone in the management office. I had tried to contact people multiple times about an incorrect late fee, packages going missing, etc and over the course of six months I never got a response unless I hounded them. Then, a month after we moved out, we got a bill that not only included fees that were previously removed but also had three months of back-charged utilities, which was not what we agreed to in our lease. They were utterly intolerable when we reached out to them and did not respond to any of the questions we asked. I would never live in a building managed by them again- I’ve had my fair share of mediocre landlords and management companies but Greystar takes the cake for amoral, unresponsive and illiterate staff that aims to take advantage of their tenants and nothing else. So if you want to pay $2500/month for a 500 sq foot apartment with rude, incapable staff and a management company that doesn’t care if you live or die, this is the place for you!

Greystar Doesn't Care About Its Customers

It is absolutely impossible to ever reach anyone in corporate despite 25 phone calls, emails, voice messages. The company is ineffective in dealing with customers and is only focused on their goals.. rental occupancy rates, revenue, etc. It is sad. As somebody that has not rented in 20 plus years and looked forward to the experience, I am very disappointed with how things have been handled and to add insult to injury, I cannot get anyone from leadership to call me back.

Lived here a year, then Greystar

Lived at the same property for a year before Greystar took over.
Employees are friendly, sure. They send smiley emoticons while telling you you're evicted.
Fee's keep going up, service keeps going down, and they'll promptly reply to an email with a pseudo apologetic tone that "that's just how we do things"

MY RATING IS ZERO TO THE ONE-MILLIONTH

MY RATING IS ZERO TO THE ONE-MILLIONTH. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF. I am 65-year-old, senior citizen, and Greystar staff is evicting me because I can't pay my rent because Greystar increased my rent by $1,467 and some change. Further, Greystar does not honor senior citizens. No senior discount on rent. Corporate and Staff are impervious to seniors. I ALSO LEARNED THAT NEW BUILDINGS ARE EXEMPT FROM RENT CONTROL. COTA VERA IS EXEMPT. THEY CAN DO CHARGE ANYTHING, INCREASE RENT TO OUTRAGEOUS RATES. I converted to month-to-month after Greystar staff severely breached my privacy by taping my lease-renewal to my doorknobm all information filled in, not in envelope, facing outward, visible to public-at-large, anyone to read, untape and copy, for a whole week while I was away from home on business for all to see -- exposing my private information, bringing unwanted attention to my unit, and alerting that I was not home. I requested that Greystar not increase my rent as a result for violating my privacy. Greystar has Kimball Tirey and St John Law firm. This law firm is VICIOUS. This law firm bullies and terrorizes and uses intimidation-tactics. This law firm is incorrigibly vicious and reflects negatively on Greystar.
I have contacted Greystar MULTIPLE TIMES. ZERO RESPONSE.

I can't believe how AWFUL, DETACHED, UNRESPONSIVE Greystar. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. GREYSTAR IS IMPUDENT TO TENANT-MISTREATMENT. THERE IS NO CORPORATE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ITS STAFF. Corporate ghosts me. It really says much that Greystar treats senior citizens so badly and also charges senior citizens OUTRAGEOUS RENT RATES AND INCREASE RENT BY $1500. OFFERS NO SENIOR-CITIZEN DISCOUNT.

And to think. I waited for GREYSTAR to build this property. Now Greystar is evicting me.

Greystar is absolutely horrible.

Greystar is absolutely horrible.
Their brand new units located in Caldwell Idaho are cheap and not built correctly. Our patio door is jacked up and you can't see outside. They refuse to replace it
On top of this they sent a note on Saturday to our door saying we owe more Rent.
We paid 3 months rent in Advance.
Now they want a deposit for my ESA, I'm disabled and have a Dr's letter for my animals.
We have been here for 3 months.
They are also charging for Internet which is included, And they sent us a bill for water, trash, and sewer that wasn't in our name and to pay it all the way in Florida
Why would I pay a bill Not in our name and especially in Florida
We live in Idaho
The manager Amanda is clueless and does not know what the hell she is doing.
If you call the office, they never call you back. You have to go find them.
We pay $ 1875.00 a month for a 2 bedroom. We have been promised the pool and hot tub would be open in April.
Today is June 22nd and it just opened.
We still can't use the BBQ because there is no gas to them.
Greystar you owe us and the other tenants money for the amenities that were promised and you didn't deliver on.
They also harass the senior citizens and disabled people living here.
The tenants are not happy living here.
DO NOT RENT FROM GREYSTAR,
THEY HAVE A TON OF COMPLAINTS AND THEY ARE BEING SUED IN CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS.

Language Discrimation, robberies, Teenagers smoking Mariguana in the pool

I am going to talk about my experience as a current resident. This place is not as advertised. They steal, dog waste on every corner. Front office staff poorly qualified to serve the public. They do not have Spanish speaking staff for current residents like me. Naesha Mitchell's response to a duplicate payment issue was that I should bring my own translator to resolve my issue. Completely discriminatory!! Glossophobia or discrimination against Spanish-speaking clients. Hello!!!!! I am a nurse in a hospital and I have to make myself understood with my patients so that they do not feel discriminated against. I am a client here too!!!
Another situation is that you can experience all the noises there are, both from the neighbor on the 2nd floor and from outside noises. Anyone can enter since they do not have true controlled access and there are no security cameras. I mean! You can be exposed to being carjacking and nothing happens. Think long and hard before making the decision to move here! It's not worth the price! Perfect Ghetto place!
