Legit the worst place

Legit the worst place ever don’t expect the people or the staff to speak English fluently. Horrible student services and they couldn’t pay me to go back

No future

The university is cancelling scholarships and stipends, and it is restructuring four-year programs by offering only one year of scholarship support while charging significantly higher fees afterward, effectively tripling its profits. I do not recommend attending Griffith University for any type of study. The school does not offer well-structured degrees or programs that effectively support long-term career development.

Amazing University to Study at

A Journey Home: Why Griffith University is More Than Just a Campus
Choosing a university is often framed as a purely academic decision, but my journey has taught me that it is deeply personal. Having experienced the highs of academic success, the lows of a mental health crisis, and the stark contrast between two of Queensland’s major institutions, I can say with certainty: Griffith University is where you go when you want to be seen as a human being, not just a student ID number.
The Griffith Difference: Support That Matters
My name is Michael John Brealey and my story with Griffith University began in 2018 within the Bachelor of Arts program at the Nathan campus. From the outset, the atmosphere was defined by a friendly, inclusive energy. My lecturers and tutors didn’t just deliver content; they provided insightful feedback that helped me grow. During this time, I attained consistent Distinctions and Credits, fueled by a community that genuinely rooted for my success.

However, life took a difficult turn. After studying at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Kelvin Grove for a Film degree in 2016 and I suffered a severe mental health breakdown. The contrast was devastating. Where Griffith offered a safety net, I found QUT to be an environment of indifference. I faced bullying from staff within the Creative Industries faculty and, during my lowest moment—crying on the floor outside the library after failing a subject—a Disability Advisor walked past without a single word of acknowledgement.
Resilience and the Return

In Trimester 3, 2025, I made the decision to "come home" to Griffith University to study Drama. The difference was felt immediately. Returning to Griffith felt like being wrapped in a blanket of support and genuine care.
As a student living with Autism, the quality of disability support is my lifeline. Unlike my previous experiences elsewhere, the Disability Advisors at Griffith are nothing short of amazing. They don’t just tick boxes; they ensure you have the tools to thrive.
Empowering Success Through Generosity
Griffith University’s commitment to its students goes beyond the classroom. Since my return, I have been:

* I was Awarded a Scholarship: Easing the financial pressure of redirected career goals.

* Provided a Free Laptop: Ensuring I have the technology required to excel.

* Accepted into Griffith Mates Volunteer Program allowing
me to give back to the vibrant, multicultural community that welcomed me back.
Looking Toward the Future
Because of the current support I’ve received, I have the confidence to embark on a new chapter: a Double Degree in Design and Business starting in Trimester 1, 2026.

To anyone considering their future, I highly recommend Griffith University. Whether you are seeking academic excellence or a community that stands by you through personal challenges, Griffith provides the financial, emotional, and educational foundations to turn your aspirations into reality.

Thank you, Griffith University, for seeing my potential when I struggled to see it myself.

A great university to study at, I am currently studying the Bachelor of Arts which starts in Trimester 3 2025. And love studying at Griffith University Nathan campus.

Stepping onto the campus of Griffith University in 2018 to begin the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program was one of the best decisions I made for my academic and personal growth. Reflecting on that time, my overall experience was overwhelmingly positive, defined by a vibrant atmosphere, a flexible and enriching curriculum, and, most crucially, a truly outstanding faculty. My time in the BA program wasn’t just about earning a degree; it was about engaging with passionate people and developing a foundational skillset that remains invaluable years later.

Awesome and Helpful Lecturers
The most profound element of my time at Griffith was, without a doubt, the quality of the academic staff. The lecturers, tutors, and coordinators within the Arts faculty weren't just subject matter experts—they were, as I recall, genuinely awesome and immensely helpful mentors.

Our independent research interests. I remember specific instances where a challenging concept was clarified not just with patience, but with a palpable sense of excitement for the subject. This level of support was essential, particularly in a broad field like the arts.

The faculty created a supportive safety net, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, felt equipped to tackle rigorous academic work.

Great uni experience for me

It’s a great uni if you are in the right program!! I really loved the location (Nathan Campus in Brisbane) being so quiet it was a nice place to be. Looks like they are doing work at that particular campus to add new and innovative buildings which is cool. I really enjoyed my time at Griffith!

Follow Up Review - WARNING UNHEALTHY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

After escalating my complaint to the Student Ombudsman the heads of the course increased their attacks against me and I have had no choice but to withdraw while I am dealing with these complaints.

I requested compensation for the gap between what I paid and what I received. Around the same time a female teacher who had tried to build a relationship with me outside of the school was acting unprofessional towards me in my classes with them. I told them we had to stop interacting outside of the class until we had a more professional education relationship. I think the person knew that they had acted out of line and gave a partial account of what happened to the heads of the school. Instead of asking me what happened from my perspective the heads of the school took the teachers word and attacked me about the interactions. I then provided the email history of the interactions in question and the teacher was found to be in the wrong and is no longer working for Griffith.

The thing that bothers me most is that a teacher who was acting inappropriately towards a student complained to the heads of the school about a student. The heads of the school did not look into anything and attacked the student. After it was found out that the teacher was in the wrong and the student requested an apology they then bullied the student out of the university instead of addressing the issue ethically and professionally.

I feel like this would have been addressed very differently if the sexes of the people involved were flipped… Really disappointed with Griffith, I couldn’t stay in a course teaching ethics, professionalism, empathy and how to have a healthy interaction with clients when this is what I experienced dealing with the people running things…
