Disappointing
Visited this pub for a meal with my friend for her birthday. The salad was not as advertised - large salad bowl with mixed leaves, tomato, cucumber, onions, peppers and coleslaw. Not a pepper in sight. 4 small pieces of tomato, a couple of small slices of cucumber and hardly any onion. The mixed leaves were obviously from a supermarket bag as some were brown or slimy. Very disappointed. The couple of slices of ham were ok but this most definitely was not worth the price tag of £15. A small bowl of chips was £3.70 and a pint of lager shandy was £5. Very expensive for something not particularly enjoyable. It’s a shame to say that this once good eatery is not delivering the basics. And then a trip to the ladies toilet was met with mess down the front outside of the bowl. Won’t be returning in a hurry. On the plus side the beer garden is nice so that’s ok for a drink but I’ll forgo the food in future.
