Lied:- Guernsey Crew neck jumper…

I brought a Guernsey Crew neck jumper from Guernsey Woolens - Guernsey Woollens Workshop, Corner House, Lowlands Road, St Sampson, Guernsey, GY2 4NZ.
After some time after I brought it for around £90, I found a hole in this jumper, it was a dropped stitch and that's what a lot of experience knitters said, who have over 50 years experience, but no strands of wool were broken, but on sending this jumper back to them, they said on receiving it, that a moth had eaten a hole right through it, it must have been a very big moth as this jumper is very thick wool, and all the rest of my jumpers and cloths have no holes in them from moths, and it couldn't have been a moth, because no strand of wool was broken, and you can see it's a dropped stitch, they repaired the hole dropped stitch, but I'm not 100% happy with this repair, they lied to me, and before I sent back the jumper they said they would refund my postage, they haven't.
I brought a Guernsey jumper some 40 years ago and the wool was really good, but this jumpers wool was inferior to the one I brought 40 yeses ago.
I would vote with your feet and give this company a wide birth.

Great customer care…

We dropped into the factory shop in st Sampson Guernsey to buy 2 jumpers. The greeting was so nice and welcoming, the mamager immediately worked out the best size for us and was very patient while we decided which colour to have.
We chose two colours that weren't in stock, but wasn't a problem he said we will make them this afternoon and drop them at your hotel the next day. Absolutely shocked that this kind of customer care still existed.
He duly dropped them as promised the next day. Can't recommend this company high enough, really great experience and well done to everyone there. And the jumper is fabulous
