Why does the spectrum allow certain people to wear outdoor clothes in the pool, rather than proper swimming atire? This is not the first time I have experienced this. There is enough swimming cloth... See more

No stars should be an option.
No stars should be an option.
Went with my grandson for his first swimming experience and will never go again.
The place is filthy, all the staff around the pool are very young and not helpful at all.
Everyone’s wearing shoes in the changing area which leads to outside dirt being in brought in, the floor had dirt everywhere.
The staff around the pool are all in trainers which look like they have been worn outside too.
Half the lockers are broken and out of use.
Too many bookings that it was so busy it was hard to find a changing cubicle empty.
The toilet were absolutely disgustingly dirty too.
The place looks so shabby I was shocked.
After in the cafe there was staff that worked so slow and looked miserable and only 1 till working even though the queue was building up.
The floor area was covered in dirt and old food which clearly hadn’t been just from that day as there were stain on seats and the cleaning man just walking up and down with his trolley doing nothing.
I will never return to this place again.
This place needs a deep clean/updating less people being booked in at once and some friendly staff.

Good luck finding a free workout machine or bench amongst the teens hogging the kit.
Just horrible
Horrible place, horrible staff, horrendous customer service, not SEN friendly, filthy dirty, old, not fit for purpose. Just avoid, I wish I did!
Tired, dirty and run down.
Family ice skating session was over packed to the point of not being able to actually skate, too many people on the ice.
Went for a coffee in the cafe after and it was really dirty. Tables not wiped and rubbish left everywhere.
Swim session next. Changing rooms filthy. Again, packed to the point where you can only stand in the pool and not swim for fear of kicking someone. Other pools were closed for lessons.
I have been coming the the Spectrum for over 20 years but will not return.
The place needs to be closed and refurbished before it causes a serious injury due to it being so run down and dirty .
Improvement needed
Guildford Spectrum is alright but really needs improvement on modernisation in the whole spectrum in general.
Terrible Experience
Pre-Covid, the Guildford Spectrum used to be a regular treat for my family and always had fantastic staff and facilities. We went there last week for ice skating and swimming and have now vowed to never go back there again.
The coffee area was absolutely disgusting. We had to request some cleaning spray and cloth to clean the tables and seats which the staff were happy for us to do ourselves whilst at least 4 of them remained chatting to each other by the tills. One table had an entire cup of coffee that had spilled around it and on the floor which was still there when we left the Spectrum a few hours later.
I was shocked at how overcrowded the water-park/pool area was. There were nowhere near enough life-guards for the amount of customers they allow in each session, and some life-guards seem to be there for a social rather than keep people safe. This is a disaster waiting to happen!
Change rooms were so dirty that it made my skin crawl, and are no longer cleaned in between sessions. Saw a dirty nappy on the floor of the changeroom which was still there over an hour later when we left.
The only reason it deserves one star instead of zero is that the staff at the ice-skating were very polite, welcoming and great with the kids.
Shockingly incompetent management that…
Shockingly incompetent management that would rather lie, cheat and ignore customers than admit they made a mistake. Ruined my sons panto experience by selling us front row on ice tickets and then switching them to the very back row on arrival. When questioned about it they deny all knowledge despite the entire back row being in the same position. Promised a refund just to get rid of us and then ignored and denied refund by the managers who refuse to go out their promise of a call to sort out the issues. Couldn’t recommend this place as the management would rather lie than admit liability so if an accident occurred on site expect to be blamed for it and receive no help whatsoever. Management need sacking and honest people brought in.
