Guitar pro keeps freezing. It is very unpredictable. The functions are great and I would really see myself making use of the software. But I cant! It does not allow me to access the chords library on occasion and mostly it will just freeze as soon as I open the program.

It's super user friendly and all the sounds sound really good for being midi

My situation may be different then most. I am a beginner guitar student, middle aged and working through military related ptsd. Using guitar pro 8 helps me visualize, hear and literally put my fingers on the musical expressions in my head in real-time.
I’ve heard/watched the YouTube star (Paul Davids) speak highly of Guitar Pro, and he resonated with me from a teaching and learning perspective. So naturally I got GP8. So maybe you can thank him for all his hard work and by bringing me to you.
I absolutely love that as a beginner, I can learn so much about composing a musical score, as well as learn scales, arpeggios, to full scores, and it will let me know if I am doing something wrong theory wise.
If my smooth brain can figure it out and have this much enjoyment, anyone could be successful with using guitar pro 8.

Im not sure if i’ve ever seen a software improve and grow so beautiful… without bloat, and while actually becoming more intuitive and easy to use. After using v4 and v5 a bunch it’s v8 that i’ve most fallen in love with. Great job.

I've had guitar pro for about 100 years, rounding it up, and when you see a company that does an update with new features, that are actually very useful, and heaps of them, and ones that I didn't even know I wanted. How did you know I wanted that? Awesome job thanks, I use it everyday.

I make my living as a guitar teacher, and I use GP8 almost every day. It’s a really indispensable tool and super intuitive to use!

I upgraded from GuitarPro 7, which was very useful, has easy to learn and use feature to create amazing music scores. Guitar Pro8 takes me into another level. With the addition of audio track into the score, my efforts to transcribe music is greatly enhanced.
The tutorials are concise, great at getting me started and full of tips. Support has been consistent in getting back to me with answers to the few questions I've had.
Bottom line. The more I work with GP8, the more I'm amazed I am at what I'm able to accomplish. It is a powerful tool that is well thought out easy for me to use. Thank you Guitar Pro Team and Arobas Music!

I wish I’d bought this years ago. It has made practising much easier and more interesting as I can loop a section I’m having difficulty with, get it right at a slower speed and then increase the speed until I can play it. Also, it allows me to jot down those little ideas you get when ‘noodling’ so that they aren’t lost. When you can play 2 or 3 chords, download the trial. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Learning guitar. The ability to closely examine how a song is played is wonderful.

I am using it for basic stuff but it works great and it’s extremely useful.

I use GP mainly for transcribing music. The audio-track is a real cool feature and works great.
Slides remain yet to be improved though. GP does not allow accurate notation of glissando. Not yet?

I really enjoy the addition of backing tacks. I've had Guitar Pro for a couple versions and often use it alongside Finale and Ableton Live for MIDI arrangements. Well worth the price of admission, and you get a nice upgrade discount.

Guitar Pri is very good for writing music, respecting the intricacies of guitar notation. The site can be customized according to the player's needs. The sound output is also very pleasant, it is almost indistinguishable from real sound. A very valuable addition is the audio track, which can be well synchronized with the notation. I find some things inconvenient, for example inserting chords, repeating chords are not offered to me, I have to retype them all the time. I would often insert the fingerboards without automatics, depending on the space. The audio track shift has a narrow control, it is less convenient. I haven't discovered many things yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for a wonderful program!
