Great Day Out for the Whole Family!
After seeing a lot of negative reviews for Gulliver’s theme parks on Trustpilot, we still decided to give it a go, and tbh we actually had a great time at Gulliver’s Land, Milton Keynes! The staff were friendly, both the main park and Dino park were nice and clean, and there was a lovely mix of rides. Queues were reasonable, and everything felt relaxed and family focused. We’ll definitely return!
Worn down theme park.
Worn down theme park.
Safety seems to be an issue.
Chairlift had the bar still up when we started to take off-we were left at a height with no bar. Doesn’t seem safe for young children. Staff look fed up and avoided any engagement.
Desperate in need of revamp.
So glad we ignored the bad reviews …
After reading bad reviews we were worried we had wasted our money on tickets to take our two young grandkids for the day ( aged 4 & 8). However we worried over nothing. We all had a fabulous day. I get that the place is a little dated and not really for older children/teenagers but was perfect for us. The kids played on everything and we all went on every ride, apart from the large climbing frame and zip wire (probably only thing there for older kids). We never once felt unsafe on any ride and all the staff were polite and made sure all safety precautions were adhered to. We can't comment on the food as we took our own picnic. So glad we ignored the reviews and made some more great memories with our grandkids.
Well had my grandson 10th birthday birthday down…
Well had my grandson birthday down there took us 3 hours to get there payed for the birthday package which was disgusting for the price 1 bollon one banner and a small cake was disappointed but then went in the fair on his birthday they gave him a 🧸 which he was really pleased with which was a bit better he is a 10 year old with special needs and he was happy but he left it in the caravan and messaged and phoned on numerous accordions asking if they could send it to me and I will pay the postage and packaging which they haven't gad the decency to reply even sent them a photo of him clutching his bear and he has been asking for his bear all the time I think it's appalling not to answer quick enough in taking your money
Absolutely horrendousAVOID!!!
Absolutely horrendous! Arrived and as soon as we walked in went to use the toilets you could tell how unkempt the entire park was, the toilets were filthy doors broken and no flush… The ponds were absolutely awful, most of the ride were closed, we went into the haunted house and there was nothing working and there was rubbing on the steps and floor, The place was extremely run down. We booked it as a pick me up trip for my little girl and she ended up so much more disappointed. We thought we’d try the donuts and paid £5 for grease dripped and stale batter in a bag. Everywhere we looked was dirty or broken. Definitely avoid! I ended up going to Knowsley instead! If I could have asked of a refund or complained I would have! Waste of £70!
Very tired looking park
Very tired looking park. The staff mainly students of 17-18 yr old who couldn't answer any queries .
Ice cream machines throughout the park weren't working on a hot summers day
Needed a good clean
The food is a major concern here!
We had a lovely time as a whole however the food was absolutely disgusting. We visited the Milton Keynes Gullivars. Make sure you take a packed lunch!! Food is out of date, white bits in the cheese on the jacket potatoes, the cheese was clearly out of date and being used to feed visitors at a high cost! Burgers were like cardboard, drinks from the tap were flat and tasted like chemicals. It’s extra to pay for fruit shoots and water. Seemed sus to me. We spent £25 to have to leave our food despite asking for a refund which they refused. The manager was just rude along with most of the staff. No customer service at all. Many complaints about the food whilst we were sat at our table but according to Aidan Hall, there were no complaints brought to his attention! You couldn’t write it. In the process of contacting my credit card company and also reporting this lot to the Food Agency for hygiene. It’s not acceptable. The ice cream we purchased was also near to be out of date and the cone was all stale. These lot are a con!
Foods
My brother bought tickets for our kids, and we all had a great time at the theme park. However, after just a few rides, we were starving and decided to buy some food — and that’s where things went downhill.
I was absolutely shocked by the prices. We paid £10 for a kids’ meal that consisted of just one slice of meat in a plain, cold bun — no lettuce, no sauce, nothing — along with a handful of chips. For £10, that is completely unacceptable. The food was bland, poorly presented, and clearly not worth the price.
This is a kids’ theme park, and families expect decent food for what they pay. The management should be ashamed of serving such low-quality meals at such high prices. It felt like a complete rip-off.
To anyone planning a visit: I strongly recommend bringing your own food from home. Don’t waste your money on the overpriced and disappointing food sold here.
Take a step back into the 1980s!
Take a step back into the 1980s, the last time this place had any investment or maintenance carried out on it!
Awful place, run down, dirty, rotten wood and peeling paint everywhere. The random statues dotted round look like they are out of house of horrors, our favourite was the dead flamingo on the river ride. Fell over probably 20years ago and no one can be arsed to pick it up!
1 member of staff to run each ride, they took forever to off load and on load rides! So painful I left like getting up there myself to organise them.
If a day at a glorified vintage fanfare with the possibly of loosing a limb is your thrill go for it! We won’t be back!!
Great experience
Just got back from Gullivers world Warrington, we opted for the eat stay and play, brilliant experience, all the staff were great, special shout out to Lisa on reception,my 7 year old grandson was obsessed with her 🤣 . We stayed in the Nerf themed room, which was great and the park itself had lots of different rides for all ages, we travelled with 3 kids aged 6,7 and 12 all of which had a fabulous time. Food was OK, but you get what you pay for.
Freezing hot tub and dirty rooms and kitchen….
I booked a house with hot tub and I paid for 3 days to use it. The check in is 4pm we went around 6pm and the hot tub was frizzing. We could not use it that day. The receptionist was rude and she said that we paying one extra day to heat it up 😳. This is ridiculous, I will never come back there. Everywhere I go the hot tub is ready to use at the time of check in! I paid one night for nothing! 😡😡😡 Also everything was very dirty, it’s look like they clean once a year !! It was terrible! 🤬
Jungle Cabin for 6 people stocked with 2 mugs, 4 plastic beakers. No kitchen not even a microwave!
We purchased via Wowcher £240 for 1 night in a jungle cabin with theme park tickets for 4 adults and a toddler. Took food for the evening meal and breakfast and we're absolutely gobsmacked when we entered the very basic caravan missing it's kitchen! Not a plate nor piece of cutlery even! 2 mugs and 4 plastic beakers! A cabin it is not! We returned to reception immediately after checking in to see if we could upgrade as we had brought all our own food for a get together with my son, his wife and my grandson. The young assistant just kept apologising and saying they were fully booked so I asked to speak to a manager who just smiled at us and said no kitchens in jungle cabins! I had googled these jungle cabins at Gulliver's world Warrington and the information was cabins typically had a kitchenette, microwave and full crockery supplies but when I showed the manager this she just said oh that's Google not our website. I said it would be a good idea to state the lack of kitchen or any utensils in this type of accommodation to warm people in advance. I also emailed them on our return but got no reply whatsoever. All in all I would never stay there again due to the lack of amenities and lack of interest in the reception managers response to our complaint. It completely ruined our break.
Ride closures!!!!!
We booked as the kids wanted to ride the rollercoaster as on previous visit they had been to scared/small.
Arrived to find it was closed, I contacted customer services once if left and the reply stated they'd advertised the closure on the site. They had not or we wouldn't of booked for that day. Their response was patronising, they completely disregarded the issue.
Terrible customer service.
Do not recommend.
Waste of time and money
Queues, queues and more queues. Every ride was a 45 minute wait, if it was even open. The rides are outdated slow and boring. The food was extortionate in price and absolutely terrible when it was finally served after a 30 minute wait.
Hardley any icecream or donut places open.
Toilets are filthy and staff are like robots.
Was here for a full day and only managed to get on 5 rides.
Avoid
Last time I'll waste a day here.
A brilliant family day out at Gulliver’s Kingdom – with amazing staff!
We had such a great time at Gulliver’s Kingdom! The park is perfect for families — lots of variety and plenty to keep the kids entertained all day. The zip line and the pirate ship were definite favourites, and the kids haven’t stopped talking about them since.
A special shout out to Kieran and Samantha, who were absolutely fantastic — especially when I lost my phone on the roller coaster! They were calm, helpful, and genuinely went out of their way to help. Customer service like that really makes a difference.
Highly recommend for a fun, stress-free family day out!
Could do with alot of maintenance
This place needs more staff with sense of what they are doing. the food is extortionate prices for what you get, the whole place needs a badly long overdue doing up paint works terrible some bits there are falling down some don’t even work. They really need a dedicated maintenance team to be doing thing to improve the park every single day it’s not hard.
I feel like this place needs more…
I feel like this place needs more staff, more experienced staff also. My two year old ran up to the tomb radar ride and grabbed the bar and it fell right on his face :( he then got really upset and didn’t want to go on understandably. I feel like the bar should have been locked at least? Not just free to fall. Maybe I am wrong but this didn’t feel safe at all and caused him to hurt himself. It’s also very rundown and needs a lot of paint, love and updating !! there isn’t much of an atmosphere either and there’s no maps and everything is all over the place.
Poor expeirience and poorer customer service
We visited Gulliver’s World in December for my daughter’s 8th birthday, staying overnight and paying a large amount for a special “birthday package” which promised hotel decorations, a character meet and greet, and a birthday cake. What we got was a single balloon and a small banner – that’s it. Worse still, it wasn’t even ready when promised. We had to prompt staff at reception, which meant we missed our booked birthday dinner at a nearby restaurant. My daughter was devastated, crying as we tried to salvage the moment and ended up eating outside, in the rain, at their lacklustre “light show.”
The next day, despite severe weather warnings and other venues closing due to safety, Gulliver’s refused to refund families who couldn't travel, insisting the park was “open.” Open, yes ..but every ride was shut due to high winds. A large tree branch even fell and narrowly missed hitting my child. It was genuinely unsafe.
The “Christmas breakfast” was another let-down, poor food, crammed into a room to watch a dire show. The Santa experience was disorganised and underwhelming. Even the elevator ride (the one decent part) was ruined by being stuck behind another family, unable to see the screen properly.
We requested a refund for the failed birthday package and the unsafe, poor-quality Christmas experience. A manager at Gulliver’s initially agreed, seemed reasonable, and even admitted fault. But after a failed card transaction, he asked me to send my full card details and security code by email. Totally inappropriate and almost certainly against GDPR. Since then, he’s vanished. No contact. No refund. Just silence.
Multiple chat advisors have been outright rude and unhelpful. One other manager promised it would be resolved, it's been promised now for 6 months. They’re clearly stringing me along in the hope I’ll give up.
We’ve been loyal visitors every year since our kids were 3. This year’s experience has completely destroyed that. Gulliver’s World is a shambles. Zero care for customer safety, zero accountability, and appalling service when things go wrong. Avoid at all costs – and if you do risk it, don’t expect help when things go wrong.
Dirty, disgusting Dino Room, Don't Eat
We booked the Dino Room for an Eat, Sleep and Play visit from Fri 11 April - Sunday 13 April 2025, and the room and poor food quality ruined our stay as it was dirty in several places, in hindsight I suspect Health and Safety rules have been breached:
Dino Hut:
1) Most of the walls had dirty marks over them. Dark hand marks in the bunk beds, thick dusty grime over the double bed. I tried to wipe the immediate stuff with a wet wipe but just saw more so went to report it.
2) The fridge had lumps of black dirt in the shelf grill.
3) The power cable to the radiator rested on the power cable to the ceiling pendant light. This pendant light also had just one fixing.
4) The bathroom sink was blocked.
5) Bathroom bin was missing a lid
6) The balcony table was thick with dirt. I had to use over 6 wet wipes to make it useable.
7) The double bed had no protective cover between the bed sheet and the mattress, I dare not look under. It just seems weird the stuff that was wrong.
8) Everything had a thick layer of dust, from door handles to trims, pictures, walls, etc .
9)The layout of the kitchen sink and electrics equally looked very suspect
Restaurant:
1) Tables had thick crusted dirt in the edge rims
2) The chips both in the accomodation side and the theme park were inedible. Extra thin like matches, cardboard like and cold. The bacon roll similarly disgusting. They even ran out of baked beans.
I reported the above to the Accomodation Manager who really tried to fix things. He came and tried to wipe the walls, he organised for the sink to be fixed. He acknowledged the intense clean needed throughout and the poor food. In response he agreed to give me passes to the Farm them park for the Sat and refund the food part of our stay, however I am still awaiting the refund.
In contrast to this we camped at the park in 2023ish and that team kept the facilities extremely.
The staff at all the parks are all super helpful, friendly, with a great attitude, and despite the theme parks being run down we really love Gullivers. From the marshmallow toasting to the waterflume. I especially love the farm side and Alfie the donkey.
Its almost like its being purposely ruined. I wish someone like Alex from the Hotel Inspector would come and turn it around.
P.s. I have several photos of the above flith!
Brilliant service from Aidan and staff
Just wanted to say thank you to the incredible service I received from Aidan when I was arranging a trip to take my family to Gullivers in Milton Keynes. He was extremely kind, patient and supportive to all my queries and really helped make the day a success for my niece and nephews and they all said they had the best day. He always responded to my queries really quickly and the service we received from all the staff on the day was brilliant so just wanted to thank them all.
