Unrealiable
Unreliable and poor customer service.
I engaged this company in May to carry out a locking mechanism replacement for my bifold doors, as it was catching internally and they were an approved installer of such systems.
I accepted their terms, which were that they would simply not guarantee the work because they did not install the system. We liaised between them and my door manufacturer on guarantee to supply all parts required. Sent photos and video and chased up communications.
After about a month they provided an appointment for 2 months later, in July, because of pre-booked installations. I was very accommodating to this, however when their installers turned up they just brought a handle, that had no bearing to the locking mechanism. Worth adding that the company is experienced in installing the exact same door system and they were provided with a video to assess.
Over a week later they finally made contact to state they still needed to come out again to replace the locking mechanism. In reality they got it wrong and another appointment was offered for a month later, which I could not possibly attend. So the next available date was again two months later, in September! The issue did not cause immediate concern as locking was still operational, so I accepted the appointment.
On the day of the appointment they notified me by email, two hours before the agreed time, that their installer was off unwell! Having already taken half day off work and returning home, I expressed my frustration and asked to re-schedule asap. There was a mediocre response they would look into it.
Over a month later and without making any contact, I had to chase them up again only to be told they would now not attend until 2022!
This was the last straw, I finally decided to collect the parts from their store and appoint another company to carry out the work, a half hour job for a competent installer.
There was no apology and zero effort to make up for it. What is more shocking is they were totally indifferent to a formal complaint about such poor service after 6 months. A complete waste of my time.
I would certainly not recommend them for any work after this experience, let alone a costly new door installation. I can only imagine the type of after-sales support one would receive.
