NEVER USE HABYT

Never ever do Habyt. This is the worst renting experience I’ve ever had. I am still waiting to get my deposit back, and when I try to write to them, I get the same answer over and over again. This is so frustrating, and I can’t stress enough - NEVER USE THIS PLATFORM. They are unprofessional and unreliabel.

When I moved in somebody else was living in my room, and they couldn’t help me - they did not give me compensation for my hotel.

extremely disappointed

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with HABYT. It has been over three months since I moved out, and I still haven't received my deposit refund. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, the communication has been poor, with responses often delayed until the end of the week or ignored altogether.

After contacting my bank, they confirmed that they cant trace incoming transactions and advised me to reach out to HABYT to investigate the matter. Unfortunately, HABYT has not provided any satisfactory answers or updates.

This prolonged delay and lack of effective communication have caused significant frustration and inconvenience. I expected a higher level of professionalism and accountability. I cannot recommend HABYT based on this experience, and I urge others to be cautious when considering their services.

The worst customer service I've ever…

The worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. I've lived in 2 different countries, had countless landlords, travelled to over 15 countries, and stayed in a lot of short and medium term housing. Habyt has handled issues the worst out of any place I've ever stayed, no joke. Habyt is only fine if nothing at all goes wrong. As soon as there's an issue, you're screwed. Their customer service is worse than useless.

By all means, use their portal to report an issue. No one will do anything. I reported that our apartment in Lisbon lost water on a Wednesday. They 1) didn't call the apartment building manager, 2) didn't call a property manager to come look at it, and 3) didn't call the water company to check on it either. For 3 entire days there was no running water in our apartment, even though the other apartments in the building and on our floor were unaffected. We got desperate and searched the building for the utilities room, found our water meter, and found that one of the valves was switched off at the meter. If Habyt had bothered to call literally anyone to come check, or even if anyone knew our building and could tell us where to look, we could have resolved this within 5 minutes. However, Habyt didn't even send someone out until 5 days after we first complained. They have no one to respond on weekends or after 5pm. They refused to order water delivery to our apartment while our water was shut off, refused to issue a refund for days without water, refused to send someone out to check, refused to tell us what was going on and what steps they had taken, and refused to help at all besides saying that it "must be an outside issue" despite our apartment being the only unit in the entire building that did not have working water. I'm sorry, but under those circumstances (which I detailed to them several times), there are less than 5 possible things that could be wrong. I've never experienced a situation this stupid before, including while in developing countries, remote off-grid situations, campsites in the middle of nowhere etc.

To top it off, when I moved out I was required to submit a photo of the keys and a video of the apartment in good condition. Fine, I tried to submit it through their portal but the options they tell you to use don't exist. I submitted under different options, but was told it was invalid and needed to be resubmitted with the correct options. I replied that those options don't exist, so please forward the materials to the right place since I can't do it from my end. I was sent the same defective instructions again, but BOLDED this time, in order to add that extra dash of insult to injury.

In short, don't bother using Habyt unless you want to fix a big corporation's mistakes yourself while their customer service insults you.

I‘m a tenant since a few years.

I‘m a tenant since a few years.

We in the flat never get some response in the flat, everything is broken, nobody cares. We are paying way to much, which would be acceptable with the Right Support, but Habyt is not answering any needs or questions - and they don‘t got an personal support. Even on the adress, there is no Habyt Support. This company is a scam.

No deposit refund

I rented a room in Rotterdam.Everything was acceptable( I don't mind things like no heating in Winter from time to time, destroyed stairs-after sending ticket they helped but not too fast) until I was not refunded my deposit after contract termination. People on reddit Say they wait 4 months and more. Anybody here had this problem?

Stay away from these people, for your own health.

I put one star because I can't put zero. Please if you want to live your happy life stay away from these people. Dirty apartment when I arrived, leaks in the ceiling never repaired, now the washing machine has broken and I imagine no one will come to repair it and most serious of all, the internet doesn't work. We are without internet. I pay rent which includes internet to go out to work somewhere else every day. Zero assistance. Cosmic nothingness. Stay away from these people, for your own health.

DO NOT MOVE IN HERE

i will just put in the email i sent to them after i moved in here i think this will allready be enough to make u understand that its terrible here. they replied 11 days ago to me to this email and said they forwarded it to relevant team but since then i am sending them every single day an email, asking for an update and the have not and will not answer anymore. I feel so uncomfortable here i want to move out as soon as possible but now i have to stay here for three months

I am shocked!

I hope this message finds you well. I have fully moved into the apartment, and while the space itself is beautiful, I regret to inform you that its condition upon my arrival was far below acceptable standards.

The apartment was in an alarmingly dirty state, which was extremely disappointing given my decision to book through a reputable company like yours, expecting high standards. Upon entering, I found the following issues:

- The walls are covered with black spots and marks throughout the entire apartment.
- My blanket has a hole in it and is shedding feathers.
- Every drawer I touch is sticky.
- The shower is extremely dirty.
- The oven is so dirty that it's currently unusable. You cannot even bake a bread inside it because it’s so disgusting.
-The fridge here was extremely disgusting but I put everything out of the fridge today and cleaned it with alcohol now I can put my food inside. The towels I cleaned the fridge with were black after I finished.
- The kitchen, in general, was in a catastrophic state, though I’ve done my best to clean it to the best of my ability.
- The dishwasher has a foul odor resembling sewage and it’s broken.
- The sink in the bathroom does not drain properly.
- My door is broken.
- The internet is incredibly slow, which is concerning as I work from home and need a reliable connection. I am allready so affraid I will not be able to work with the internet here. I can lose my job because of that issue!!!

I spent 7 hours cleaning the apartment myself, which has improved the situation a lot. The apartment looks perfect now and I hope it will stay like that, but it’s still far from acceptablethat I was receiving the apartment in that condition and that I had to buy and do everything by myself. The kitchen, for instance, smelled terrible initially, though it’s improved after my efforts. However, it feels as though the apartment had never been cleaned before my arrival.

For a rental priced at 800€, I was expecting a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Given the situation, I am committed to maintaining the space myself, as cleanliness is very important to me. Also I please you to send somebody over to replace the dishwasher and oven.

I’ve attached pictures of the issues mentioned above. While the photos may not fully capture the extent of the dirt and damage, please be aware that the apartment was in a far worse state before I started cleaning.

I am genuinely dissatisfied and disappointed with this experience. Moving into a new apartment is already a challenging process, and encountering these conditions has made it even more stressful. I sincerely hope that you can assist me in resolving this matter promptly so that I can feel comfortable and at home in my new space.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue. I look forward to your prompt response and assistance.

1. room is not same like advertisement during booking
2. I reported some issues using tickets, they answered me to resolve those but still not fixed by Habyt
3. internet connection is not fully stable, sometimes it’s disconnected and has low speeds.
4. the internet security is poor and so many devices are connected, maybe devices from other people outside the apartment

A room from Lisbon

My Experience was awful !! So first, I cancel my room to have another one in the same place but for a larger place! But, first they don't refund! Nothing! Then, they don't give me the room I booked, So I advise you to not hope too much regarding the picture! So, I ask them to relocate me. But, they did put me in another wrong one! Plus there are silverfish in the place!! Then, I'm waiting for a answer by respect for them I didn't go to the second place to not dirty the place! But you know what ? They don't give a s**t!! Everyday they don't respond I have to pay for the extra fee for the 50€ and I even didn't the right room! And they're not answering again!! A scam you shouldn't go there

NOT recommended

I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this company. Upon my arrival, I came to a dirty room (the bed looked like somebody just left 5 minutes ago, spiderwebs on the walls, broken window shutters, dirty carpet..). It took Habyt 3 weeks to arrange someone to clean the room properly and they still havent exchanged the shutters as they promised.

Plus, for over two months now we had a problem with clogged sink in the kitchen. Even though we tried all kinds of chemicals, we cannot do anything about it ourselves, so we asked Habyt for help. They promised us that the property manager will come to solve the issue. Its been two months now and nobody came. Right now they are just exposing us to health and hygiene risks.

We also had a problem with a wifi, and when my roommate called to Telecom, the technician needed some special passwords that only Habyt could have provided. For atleast 3 weeks they have been unable to provide us the correct passwords. In the end they told us to contact Telecom ourselves and they basically didnt help us at all, even though
we just needed to send some basic information.

Additionally, one of my other roommate wanted to terminate the contract within the first two months. She was only staying here for 3 months overall, which is the minimal stay. She was following the exact guidelines in the contract and Habyt tried to rip her off by saying that she needs to pay for the room for another month. After couple of days Habyt finally admitted that she was right (she was right from the very beginning). But this was such a stressful time for her.

Im gonna just add that I am paying 1135€/room for shared apartment with other 3 people.
Its a total ripoff. If you have a chance, avoid this company for all costs.

Overall experience is good with habyt

am living in Milan. Italy. Habyt service is good. Everything is done online. After booking the house or room in habyt and get confirmation. You need to go to a place to collect the keys.

The only thing which I didn’t like is there were no clear instructions to reach the room.

But overall my experience is good with Habyt. The room is good and also they respond quickly to your concerns.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, takes days to answer and never directly address the problem. Accommodations are very dirty, the cleaning service is too superficial. Furniture and cooking utensils are the cheapest kind you can find. They only care about taking your money.

The properties are good, but needs better maintenance. The support team is not very prompt to resolve issues like internet outage.

We do not have any details about people moving in from beforehand. That would be appreciated.

Awful (Müllerstraße 55A Berlin Deutschland)

No landlord. No house maintenance/cleaning, even when a roommate moved out his door was left open. BROKEN chairs, and frozen through refrigerators with year old rotting meat inside. Stains all over walls. NO CHIMNEY IN THE KITCHEN. You advertised as fully equipped, chimneys are basic equipment in a kitchen.
