No fuss traveling
I've now done two HP trips both really enjoyable. I've been working remotely for a few (4) years now and tend to mix up my travelling style. HP is great for when you want no fuss travel, to take all the hassle of logistics and planning out of visiting a new city and connect to a network of like-minded people. The facilitators are great and are there to help facilitate your trip and give you your space for your own experiences. A thing to note is that they're not there to hold your hands (or shouldn't be) to make your trip perfect. Travel and life in general can be chaotic and crazy and these trips are a great way to meet more like-minded people in a easy (read hassle-free) way of exploring new cities
Expectations Exceeded On Every Level
Words can not express my first HP experience in Buenos Aires. It was the perfect convergence of location, people, food, experiences, etc. etc. As a “Boomer”, I went into it not quite sure what to expect…or how I’d assimilate with the group. Well, any concern I might have had was crushed from day one!
Sara (Cash) & Juan made the perfect team to manage the group and provide first-class direction and leadership to the myriad dining & entertainment opportunities available. The fun factor was off the charts. If you’re even remotely considering booking a trip with HP, don’t hesitate. It will provide an absolutely memorable experience and if you’re as lucky as me, a wealth of great new (super cool) friends! I’m already working on my next adventure with these guys.
Lives up to the hype
I read the good reviews online and was suspicious but HP delivers :). It's an awesome experience filled with cool people. Booked my second trip shortly after getting home from the first.
Had my first trip with HP and will do more! before…
I have never done remote work before and I was really nervous about the experience. But finally I decided I should give it a try and booked a trip with HP - and I'm so glad I did it!
Being able to meet lots of people with different backgrounds gives you a broad new point of view about the life and the HP community inspires you to travel more!
I am already planning my next trips, and suggest everybody should try this experience! Hope to meet some of you in the following trips!
Cape Town was amazing. Highly Recommend!
I joined the 2021 Cape Town chapter which was absolutely amazing. Our facilitators Juan and Tayler really were helpful with any issues that arose and the activities that were organized were fun. As a remote worker, it's a huge help to have someone set up a co-work, a comfortable living space and a group of like-minded people so that once you get there it's plug and play. I have found the Slack group to be very beneficial as well. I would recommend HP to anyone that is trying to maximize their remote work experience!
All the fun of traveling, with none of the fuss!
Hacker Paradise was such a great way to get out and explore a new place. It was awesome having logistics and social network already set and ready to go, so that I could focus on having fun. The facilitators who were on my trip, Tayler and Dee, clearly went above and beyond to make sure the trip and events went smoothly. I'll be joining again in just a couple months and couldn't be more excited!
Cape Town, South Africa
I have done only one trip with HP, but plan to do more. I traveled to Cape Town and arrived a few days before the Omicron outbreak. There was some concern among some of the group, but it was handled very professionally by the two administrators Taylor and Juan! A plan was put in place by the team and multiple outlets were provided to voice your thoughts/opinions/ideas. I could not commend them any higher on all they did for the group and they are a majority of the reason I felt safe during my time with HP and why I plan to go again. Otherwise, there was so much to do and wish I could have stayed twice as long to experience it all with the great people I met on the program. I would recommend to the company to keep a cap on the number of people allowed on a trip at one time. There were a lot of this trip and it was hard to coordinate time to experience and meet with some. I highly recommend anyone looking to travel remotely with others from all backgrounds to try a trip with HP.
Great New Way to Travel
Traveling with Hacker Paradise really opened my eyes to a new way to travel— it offered me the chance to explore a new international destination with the company of new friends. It was so nice to be able to share the experiences of excursions and day trips with a great group of people, not to mention numerous meals and meaningful conversations. Hacker Paradise’s facilitators did a great job helping us to quickly acclimate to our new surrounding and planned lots of (optional) activities. I highly recommend giving a trip with HP a try.
Best remote working experience!
I did my first HP trip last year and I'm so glad I did! As a first time fully remote worker this was the best introduction into digital nomad life. We had a great place to stay, with fantastic office facilities which made keeping up the day job super easy. You could take part in all of the organised activities as much or as little as you wanted to with no pressure- Sarah and Juan the facilitators kept everything running super smoothly.
I was definitely not ready to come home and will absolutely be joining another HP programme again soon!
Happy member of the HP fam!
After following HP on social media for a few years, looking at the trips and wishing I could try it someday, last year I went on my first trip. It was my first time taking a working or organised group thing and I was excited (and a little nervous) about meeting new people, experiencing new locations and trying to find some balance with being productive while away from home. I absolutely loved the experience, I met some amazing people and the two facilitators on my trips (Juan & Cash) are my friends to this day, I miss them!!
My trip started in Lisbon and it was brilliant to have the itinerary all mapped out with so many cool and interesting things to do & see. There’s no way I would have had so many rich and authentic experiences if the planning was down to me! Everybody was really nice and it’s a really great vibe with other members of the community, which included a broad range of people with varying interests and budgets - all brought together expertly by our facilitators like one big family. I enjoyed it so much I extended my first trip and went on to join the next one in Split, Croatia the following month. This year I hope to do another trip (or two!) and I highly recommend it to anybody that might be considering it. Might see you on the next one! ✌️✈️
You won't regret going
You won't regret going, you'll only regret not going sooner.
HP is a great experience. I met people in all stages of life - recent grads, burned out professionals, people considering making big changes in their lives. Some did and some didn't of course, but for me it's been the attention to the journey that mattered.
New digital nomad giving it a try
I recently became a digital nomad and was seeking a program to let me have:
-great co-working and wifi options
-cool locations and adventures
-built in social programming and support
-competitive program pricing and finding value
HP delivered on all four of these things (plus great accommodation although I am pretty easy going on this) and much more. My favorite part were the connections I made and bolstered through HPs facilitated slack channel and weekly events.
The support pre and post programming has been dynamic and I am excited to see how this programming works in other locations.
HP IS my digital nomad/traveling family
When I first started traveling working remotely my adventure started with HP. Since then, I have been on five trips with them in various countries and they ARE my digital nomad family/community. Being a nomad hopping around the world can get pretty lonely sometimes, but once you're part of a community like HP it starts getting to the point where there weren't too many places I'd go that either someone I met from a trip, or another HP alum might travel through at some point so you can meet up. Once you do a trip with HP (which is a great way to explore a country with a built-in friend network that finds the housing, coworking space, networking and social events, and many of the more fun or adventurous activities for you), you're forever in a community Slack group where you can connect with others, ask advice, or just share your experiences so you always feel like you're part of a community wherever you are. HP is one of the best things I've ever done to make not only my traveling life, but even my life not traveling (thanks pandemic!) more special and meaningful.
Had my first trip with HP in Kenya!
Had my first trip with HP in Kenya. It was a blast! It is not impossible to figure out the logistics of settling in a country you have never been to before, but with HP it was seamless. There was a facilitator on the ground, Solid Wifi Connections, SIM card pre-loaded with data. It made it easy for me to land in the country and the next day have my laptop open and working without skipping a beat. It also connects you to a community of people living a life similar to yours but from very diverse backgrounds and interests. Totally worth it, I plan to do more trips with HP
Do it! HP is so fun!
I’ve traveled with HP 5 times and highly recommend. It’s a great value and the facilitators are always accessible and very supportive. The community is the best part, including the well organized slack channels and the optional weekly programming. I feel safe when I travel with HP and have met several long-term friends through the years!
HaPpy Veteran
I have done 14 trips with HackerParadise so far and I love them. They are not a travel agency, they are community builders. When you travel with Hacker Paradise, you have everything you need to make instant friends with like-minded working travellers and nomads and be super productive. And because a lot of people tend to come back, the friends you make tend to be long term too, and you can bump back into them on the other side of the world and start things back where you left off. Honestly, I travel on my own too sometimes, but I am never happier and more productive as when I'm on a trip with them.
One of the best experiences of my life
One of the best experiences of my life
Of all the digital nomad groups HP is known for having the best people. They're just the coolest humans - on top of that they just really know what they're doing and the facilitators are cool af.
If you're hesitating - don't. Plus there's a bunch of flexibility, I did 8 months on trip hopping on and off but you can do as little as 2 weeks.
Feels very much like a retreat/vacation from your "real" life in the best way. We also had some long time travelers in my group who were grateful to have defined community build for them without having to be solo all the time.
So happy I discovered them!
I had been solo traveling for a year and HP was exactly what I needed to reset, meet others within the nomad community and explore a new city completely out of my comfort zone. I've only had positive experiences with the wider community, team and while on trip. So happy I discovered them!
