Hailsham Wine Cellars has closed due to the fact that their lease has expired and I'm very sorry to see it go. There were tastings each month, a special, bumper one at Christmas and always excellent help and advice on hand. However, all is not lost - the outfit has moved to a large warehouse and has bought the online domain of "Wine Direct" so I can still shop online and get deliveries to my home in St Leonards on Sea and have access to brilliant wines, specially chosen.

Avoid at all cost!
Still waiting for my order after 2 weeks. Payment taken within hours, then no response to multiple emails or calls. Avoid at all costs, just not trustworthy. Worst experience I've had with any UK wine merchant and I've dealt with dozens over 25 years. Website has been taken down!

Still not received the wine I ordered on the 4th January 2019 said it would be 3 days ,I ordered direct with Hailsham Cellers . They don’t respond to emails , tweets , phone calls etc . £80 for two bottles of wine do not use this company 😡

My order from winedirect has not turned up after 6 weeks, they do not answer telephone or email and appear to be acting fraudulently by taking orders and not delivering. In some cases charging twice!
Beware of winedirect. Winedirect seem to be operated by Fermentation limited, I visit their registered office today and they have never heard on them! clearly my order will not be delivered so off to trading standards and city of london police.

Hailsham Cellars hold the wine on behalf of winedirect as a warehouse facility

Steve at Hailsham Cellars has been great in trying to fulfil my order as best they can and liaised with winedirect, he has been professional and managed to communicate and delivery the majority of my order in difficult circumstances.

The experience of Hailsham cellars is very different from winedirect who are failing their clients.

I would go direct to Hailsham cellars in the future as they are a trusted and dependable counterparty.

Do not order from them. They own Winedirect...a shell company. They take your Money and don't ship. Make excuses and promises...then silence. They are frauds...I am taking action against them.

After taking my money for an expensive order nearly three weeks ago they have delivered nothing |!! They say they it will appear in next few days and it doesnt, they then say they ll cal me back and they dont .

I ve been forced to ask for a refund - lets see if I get that
