Wrong dentures, fast to destroy original molds

Them, investing in a simple 3D scanner might possibly avoid a lot of trouble for some.

We were wanting to come in for the 2nd, accurate, set of dentures. It turns out the first set was supposed to be accurate (which it was a million miles away from).

My wife had a small amount of large, cute, adorable teeth. What they gave us have many, many, tiny teeth. We assumed that when we got the second pair, those would be made off of the super-expensive molds - because obviously these weren't. These look like they came out of a 25 cent costume teeth vending machine.

In the time she has been struggling with issues (the botched dentures much to blame), they’ve already destroyed the molds we paid hundreds and hundreds to have made.

To make things more wrong, the visits my wife made to get them remedy their bad work, we were charged for. Ridiculously greedy move.

Now after we've gathered photos from friends and family - we are almost 100 percent convinced they gave her the wrong set.

It has been a while since they were first made, the dental group did a bit of victim-blaming there - saying we should have complained sooner. My wife has been in and out of the hospital a lot since the dental procedure. Her last few visits were to complain about the fit and try to get it fixed. There isn’t a complaint more official than that, outside of near bleeding to death.

We've been spending these last weeks assessing all of the harm done by having gone to Hamilton Dental Group, collecting photos, bills, etc.

She lost a lot of blood after the surgery, in part because the dentures were supposed to serve as a sort of bandage after surgery. Having ones that didn't remotely fit contributed to her bleeding out and being in the hospital for transfusions a while. She is still working her way up to normal since then.

Anyway - we're well-over 13000 dollars in. All we got out of it was a lot of fear, pain, hospital time and after all this time my wife's health is still suffering as a result of having nothing to eat with. I’ve been dying to be able to dine with her, and she is dying, literally, to eat just one good meal after all this time.

Hamilton Dental referred us to a hopefully better dental group for this, but hasn’t been decent enough to refund our money, offer compensation, and the process is going to be super difficult now that they destroyed all records of how my wife’s teeth should have been.

Been Hamilton Dental patients for 30 years

My family and I have been Hamilton Dental patients since early 90's.
Always had pleasant visits. Very friendly staff.
I had received a call late last year(2021) in reference to a schedule change for my periodic cleaning.
It was originally scheduled for February 4, 2022. I was rescheduled to April 26, 2022. When I asked why, I was told they were moving patients(whatever that meant).
Pretty sure I figured out why today.
A couple weeks ago my adult son, who is under Aetna Dental Insurance, received a letter from Hamilton Dental stating, as of April 18, 2022 Hamilton Dental will no longer accept Aetna as an In-Network insurance.
My wife and I also have Aetna as our Dental insurance but never received a letter. At that point, as a retiree, I assumed we were still covered as In-Network.
Well today I called about a bill I received, yesterday, from a visit back in September of last year.
After clearing that up, I mentioned I had my periodic cleaning appointment that was rescheduled from February to April 26th and whether the letter my son received also pertained to my wife and I. I was told that it did.
This is when I figured out why I was called last year to rescheduled me to April 26th.
Hamilton Dental is no longer accepting Aetna Dental In-Network patients. Only as Out-Of-Network as of April 18th.
The difference in out of pocket percentage between In and Out of Network is minimal. The key is now Hamilton Dental can charge their maximum fee for dental work and Aetna can't lower it.
You can't tell me when Hamilton Dental called me to reschedule my appointment from February 4th to April 26th that there was not 1 opening or cancellation so to fit me in before April 18th.
I would have most likely stayed with Hamilton Dental as an Out-Of-Network patient but after voicing my concerns, I wasn't even offered to be squeezed in before April 18th. That's 3 weeks away.
At that point I cancelled my appointment and my wife's appointment in August.....never to return.

Update:
Wow…..what a bad review can cause.
Now I’m getting calls and messages, ”I understand you want to come in before your scheduled appointment.”. They now have “some availability”.
Really….Hamilton Dental couldn’t reschedule me yesterday, when I voiced my concerns, to a date before their Aetna insurance changes(April 18th)?
It’s the principle…. they didn’t have to call me last year to reschedule my February 4th appointment all the way till after the Aetna change…. Especially a 30 year patient

This is truly one stop shopping for …

This is truly one stop shopping for your mouth as they have it all covered! My family has been using this practice since 2002. It's super convenient being a working Mom as I schedule my cleanings along with my 2 kids. We all go in at the same time and we are out the door in under an hour for all 3 cleanings! They stick to their appointment times, make kids feel very safe and I'm pleased with all departments, including ortho (which both of my kids needed!) Highly recommend this practice!
