Exceeded Expectations

We're from the generation where unless you drove/examined it you didn't touch it !!
This was our very first internet car purchase and from our initial contact with Tom & Rob we felt at ease and even had video call being shown the car. There was no pressure at all and they couldn't have been more helpful. Their customer care was excellent, they were thoughtful & kind and delivered exactly what they promised - a quality well maintained car.
Even though they are 220 miles away in Suffolk, I would have no worries going to them in the future.

Top Service

A huge thank you to all involved in the purchase of my Ford Puma ST Line Vignale.
Absolutely love it, easy purchase, great service. Even delivered to my home address which was a nice added touch living a couple of hours away. The delivery guy was also very good and professional.
Added thanks to the Sales Manager Rob for ensuring everything went smoothly.

I recently had a problem with my Ford…

I recently had a problem with my Ford Kuga sunroof. It was jammed open. The car was thus undriveable in rain.

I contacted several Ford dealers, desperate to get a quick repair.

All could see me in two or more weeks.

Hammonds were the only agent who offered immediate help to try and get a quick diagnosis.

Thankfully in that quick diagnostic visit they got it closed and working.

Great customer service.
Roof now appears to work.
Thank you.

Service issues

MG ZS been in with a BCM issue as identified by AA. According to Hammond there is no fault despite the car lights turning on occasionally & not turning off - I need my car as I'm a community nurse and I am constantly breaking down but Hammonds refuse to contact MG to see if they will replace the BCM - v upsetting my job is hard enough without breaking down all the time. Avoid MGs at all cost

Nissan Leaf battery charging difficulty, not informed by Hammond before purchase

Disappointing experience with car purchase of used Nissan Leaf from Hammonds at Halesworth. I was not given full information. The Nissan Leaf has no battery cooling, so over consecutive charges on a long journey, the charge times get increasing long for up to 80%, and impossible beyond. With an electric car you expect to have to wait to charge it, but not to the extent where you might be waiting over 1.5 hours for an 80% charge. The battery can get too hot and the car doesn’t allow faster charging. Nobody mentioned that to me at Nissan before I signed for it. And then that’s assuming you can find a fast Chademo charger that’s available. Very bad experience.

Caused more damage to my car!!

Hammonds collected my broken down VW. by the time it arrived to VW garage in Ipswich they had done another £250 worth of damage. They are now claiming its "its their problem". Absolutely terrible service

Disappointing mis-selling from a Nissan Main Dealer

Well, it all started great, great car, one owner, low miles etc etc, however, Hammonds couldn’t supply the V5C as there was a private plate on the car. Not a problem, they had applied for the transfer it would take a couple of days……that was 4 weeks ago and now my one owner car has turned into a two owner car and neither of them are me!
Not being the registered keeper of the vehicle has all
Sorts of insurance implications (currently I’m 3rd party only, despite paying comprehensive premium)
The car is not currently taxed in my name as the registered keeper has changed, but to the Hammond group, not myself, despite the fact I have paid for the vehicle to be taxed and I am in limbo now waiting to see if the DVLA will issue an ‘age related’ registration plate which, potentially could take up to 12 weeks.

I’m told by Hammonds sales manager are far as Hammond Group are concerned they’ve done nothing wrong (hello? One owner car is now a two owner car?, no V5, no legal tax) and that the 30 day return policy ‘is not as straight forward any seems’ and that it’s not advisable to try and return the car, but they have made no attempt to resolve except offering to ‘write a letter explaining why there’s an extra keeper’ and ‘will speak to my insurance company on my behalf’

Update: V5C eventually turned up 27/03/22 indeed showing 2 former keepers (one assumes the last keeper was the made up person 'Hammond Nissan'), spoke to Hammonds again to advise was promised a call back which still hasn't happened, called again 29/03/2022 to chase call back and updated warranty paperwork and STILL no response.

Disappointing service from a Nissan Main Dealer.
Be extremely careful when purchasing an ‘approved used car’ from them as all may not be what it seems.

Halesworth branch- used Tiguan

We brought our used Tiguan from your Halesworth branch in begining of May this year .We could not fault you guys in anyway- we delt with Tom and John who were both very proffessional .We travelled 4 1/2 hours each way and were very pleased with our purchase and was as described in the add and as shown in the photos/videos .Great aftersales and warrentee. One very pleased customer- highly reccomended .Well done guys
