Bleeding head injury no support

I went to A n E in Winchester after a serious cut to the back of my head. Back of my head/hair soaked in blood. At AnE I had nowhere to sit, felt dizzy and sick. They told me to stand there with cardboard box. I had to leave or faint. No one offered to help. I'm nearly 80 and live alone. Atrocious service.

Hampshire orthopaedic centre is amazing

I was initially upset at being told I had to travel to Winchester for my orthopaedic surgery under the wonderful Mr Avis. However, I was admitted to the New Hampshire orthopaedic centre at Winchester county hospital and so glad I did. Although VERY difficult to find within the hospital due to awful signage (it’s opposite the Florence portal maternity) it’s brand new and fantastic.
Absolutely excellent service from start to finish, the ward is so bright and clean, the whole place is just beautifully done throughout. Mr Avis, his secretary (Kim) , the lovely anaesthetist , all the nursing, theatre, cleaning, catering and portering staff were all fantastic. I didn’t meet one staff member who didn’t have a smiley happy face. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Special thanks to the wonderful recovery nurse who made so much effort to warm me up and to ward nurse Lara who really is a breath of fresh air.
Thank you everyone, as much as I don’t want to be back I won’t have any worries if I do have to return one day.

The Royal Hampshire Orthopaedic Centre…

The Royal Hampshire Orthopaedic Centre (HOC) was where I recently had my operation for a total hip replacement. On the day, everything went very well. I was welcomed and helped with whatever I needed.
Mr. Waqas Ilyas,(surgeon) and Mr. Tim Nicholson Roberts ,(anaesthetist) carried out my procedure excellently in all aspects. The team members assisting them were all superb, enabling a first class outcome. Every member of staff that I met was helpful. I am amazed how well I feel just two days later. I would like to thank every member the department for helping me.

Warning they will kill you i expect 😆

Basingstoke stop messaging/emailing me, i have already told you I can't get to the appointments. Your stupid portal hub doesn't let me answer you back. Not like I haven't tried to tell you that way. I have sent you emails aswell as rang Winchester last year. Plus leaving you idiots messages on here. Clearly mulberry lodge has had day releasers working for you today. I wont be having procedure done as you can't even get this right, your most likely amputate my head by mistake.

Be warned

Be warned, the Hampshire Hospitals Heart Centre Sherborne Building is helpless.
You press the entrance door bell to get in and they curtly say "what do you want?" (not very friendly) and then having arrived at reception we waited an hour for a pre-MRSA swab that did not happen - so we have to try again tomorrow.
3 hours wasted for £2.50 from a broken machine.
I really hope they know what they are doing when they operate!
Altogether very unpleasant and zero signage to tell us where to go.

Bad experience with Basingstoke and North Hants Hospital hospital

Bad experience with Basingstoke and North Hants Hospital
Mr Vratchovski of Basingstoke and N Hants hospital operated on my bunion. Before the operation Mr Vratchovski said I had 3 deformities and proposed a scarf procedure. After he operated all 3 of these so called deformities were worse and in addition to these the big toe was now rotated by 20-30 degrees sideways. Despite this Mr Vratchovski told me the operation was 100% successful. I was referred back to Mr Calder by my GP and he told me the surgery had failed but gave my various different explanations as to why it failed. Mr Vratchovski came across as if he did not have a clue what he was doing and Mr Calder as if he was trying to cover up for Mr Vratchovski. In the end, I had to go to a different hospital to get what seemed like a reasonable explanation. It was a horrible experience, very stressful trying to extract an honest explanation for the failure of the procedure. One surgeon told me there was nothing clinically wrong with my foot before the procedure.

By rotating my big toe by 30degrees, Mr Vratchovski rendered my big toe dysfunctional and this now means that the other toes have to carry more weight. This has now caused arthritis in my second toe that has to carry the load of the big toe.
