Terrible communication
Terrible communication. I placed an order on dec 2nd (in hopes to give it as a Christmas gift). Anyways, it was an outfit, 3 separate items (pants, shirt and bow). I ordered all 3 items at same time/same order. Called 10 days later because I had not received anything and no emails.
Waited on hold 30 mins... only to be told that the pants and bow shipped and would arrive in a day. But the shirt was out of stock. No estimated date of delivery. They hadn’t even reached out to tell me this.
Terrible. Not ordering from this store again.

I placed two orders and I am so angry and disappointed with both of them. :(
First was shipped after 6 days! Though the delivery estimate to Japan is 6-8days (I paid 35USD for Japan express shipping). Of course it did not make it within the given time. But that was not the worst. They divided 5 items into two parcels! All of them were sale items, but still I had to pay tax and duties upon arrival, yes - twice! For both the parcels. I was mad. Why they divide 5 items in two small parcels? Stupid and not nice to international customers who have to pay taxes and duties upon arrival.
And now the second time, not only that from placing the order to the actual shipment it took 10 DAYS this time, they also sent me an e-mail that one of the three items is unavailable and cancelled! Unbelievable! This has never happened to me with another online retailer, even s very cheap one like H&M - they are superb. I hope this time they won't divide the two items itno two parcels, because for some reason, they have sent me "Order Shipped" e-mail twice, one for each item! This is too much money and stress not worth the clothing. Never order from Hanna again. Also the CS does not reply to e-mails. I have to ask them many times until I receive a reply, which is not helpful anyway. More like a robotic reply.

I made three orders total (one in late Nov and two in early Dec 2019). All three were divided into two parcels, though I ordered only a few items each time. They divided even order of two items in two separate cardboard boxes. Not only that there was space for both items in one box, but it is not eco-frinedly at all, and not international customer friendly, as I had to pay quite expensive import tax for each box. :( And, one of the boxes of my second order containing only one dress has got lost. I ordered on Dec 03 and still have not received it. I received the other box with rest of the items of this order many weeks ago. I sent an e-mail to CS, they told me they could not provide the the same item anymore as it was sold out, so they would forward my e-mail to someone else so they issue me a refund. This was about a week ago, but I have not heard from them anymore. :(

They are just terrible. The clothes are nice but be sure of what you want and the size you want because if you need to return anything they’ll take forever to check it and give you a gift card at the end of the day. I ll NEVER buy anything from this store ever again.

Read below. They contacted me in January and made good the 20% offer. Hanna Anderssons website states that in exchange for your email, you will receive a 20% discount code on your first order and that’s all it says. When I went to place my order and put the code in , it states invalid.
Apparently they sent me an email stating that it’s not applicable to sale items. I didn’t receive it because I was trying to place my order . I believe this is false advertising and simply a way to acquire emails . customer service was not helpful and I have cancelled my order.
Want to add that I was contacted in January and refunded my 20% and given a gift certificate. I conclude that they do care about their customer service , altho , if I hadn’t written the original review, I don’t think I’d have heard from them again. This is an update to my previous post. I ordered a gift for a friend and needed it the next day. I paid 25 dollars for overnight delivery. The next day I was informed it would be coming in 3 days. I called and told them to cancel the order and refund the money for the gift and the shipping. I have been waiting for 8 days and nothing has happened. They tell me they are running a little behind on refunds. They weren't running behind when they took my money. I have talked to 3 people and they all have very nasty condescending attitudes. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with

Refund process is extremely difficult. Supposedly return labels almost never work. I’ve gone all around town just to find out that the shipping label doesn’t work. On the phone with Hanna Anderson and the customer service is a bit ridiculous. The person I spoke to was confusing and seemed very uninterested. I was told you cannot return the package to a normal usps store as their labels don’t usually work...you have to find a blue bin and supposedly it will be processed if you don’t speak with any usps workers. Also, you have to take a picture of your box in order to have a personal receipt. There is no way to prove I dropped off the box or they received it because the label doesn’t work. Seems a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

I used to love Hanna pants and shirts for my boys. Expensive but I figured they would last. Uggh not even through the summer. Ripped shirts and shorts with holes in them .the cotton doesn’t fell as heavyweight and durable it’s thin and flimsy. Not paying extra anymore for that. Horrible overpriced products. Ordered training boy underpants. Bought 2 packs for $50. Overpriced junk. When I called to return. I was told that it was unable to be returned. Junk Products and Just business policies. STAY AWAY

Awful, awful, awful. Orders are often not fulfilled- after waiting weeks for items to be dispatched, you get emails to say the items you’ve waited weeks for are out of stock. All three pairs of pants I’ve ordered for my child have ripped at the knee. I sent the items back for a refund, they received these on April 3rd, it is now a whole month later and I still have not been refunded. I clearly requested a gift card on the return label as I no longer have the card I paid for the items with and they told me they refunded it to the original card. I’ve now been waiting a week since I last contacted them for them to check where my refund is and they still haven’t got back to me or refunded me. The craziest, most frustrating experience. I never write bad reviews but Hanna Andersson is a joke.
Very Bad Experience
I wish I would have searched this company before making my first purchase. Very poor customer service. I purchased 3 items, returned 2 and they acknowledged receipt of the package 2 weeks ago and still have not processed the refund. I called the Corporate Office and she told me it's 3 weeks for them to process once the item is received which I said is UNACCEPTABLE. Quality of merchandise appears nice but the item I kept has not been worn or laundered yet. This company is owned by a private equity firm which may be the reason for the horrible customer service. I will also file a complaint with the BBB.
Inconsistent Pricing/No Price Adjustments in the same week
Who is making the decisions at Hanna Andersson? Their policies are misguided and do not put the customer first. On the positive side, they have finally realized they need more than one warehouse for shipping if they want to be competitive. On the negative side, they are slashing prices of their clothing (and I would venture to guess they are sacrificing quality, given how quickly a few items I recently purchased faded) and you cannot get an inconsistent price. For example, I placed an order on Monday for several items. They arrived Thursday. I woke up Friday to an email for a BIG SALE! on the EXACT items I had just purchased. When I called customer service, they refused to do a price adjustment. That is unheard of in this industry, especially if you're trying to cater to "high end" customers. Save yourself the trouble and take your money to Nordstroms where they would never allow this kind of deplorable customer service.
Love Hanna quality
Love Hanna quality. Truly amazing. Pajamas are EXPENSIVE, but you’ll never find anything that lasts longer.
HOWEVER, I have a store in my town (Nashville) and am very disappointed I can no longer ship to store. When I emailed them for an explanation, I received no reply.
This makes no sense. Half the time I picked an order up I would end up purchasing another item from an in store sale.
The shipping for one dress is $8.95. I’ve defiinitely purchased half as much as I normally would’ve in the past 6 months because of this shipping change. I don’t always have a $100 order and they rarely do free shipping on anything less. The sales are a joke. Hanna your client a can do a simple math calculation. Rarely is the discount for more than anything other than to cover shipping.
They need to implement free ship on $50 or

U have to know the correct sizing, u must measure child n use 110, 140 instead of the normal sizes.
Overall wear is excellent. I gave my granddaughter my daughter's hand me downs n they were in wonderful shape.

Worse customer service ever. Multiple phone disconnects. Lack of email responses. I had to file a claim with my credit card company since the wrong item was shipping. They're still trying to charge me for shipping.

I placed a large order of matching pj's for my extended family. I called before placing the order, wondering if there would be a sale around Black Friday. I was assured by the customer service rep that I could place the order and then call and receive the discount, since the order was placed within the same week. When I called a few days later to request a discount, I was told Hanna Anderson would not honor the discount request, even though I was assured I would receive one from the customer service rep. I won't be ordering from Hanna Anderson in the future.
