Four sections that appear like pieces of cardboard and two metal mirrors with a total length of 30 cms (12 inches) and on the box it states that periscopes like this were used during WW1- I very much doubt it . Firstly they wouldn't be durable enough secondly with a length of 12 inches you'd get your head blown off !! I'll resave further judgement on this product until I watch my grandson build it but I have to say that I've probably seen better quality goods coming out of a Christmas Cracker.

Disappointing. The periscope is far smaller than I thought it would be and only of cardboard whereas it looks stronger. Bought for my 8 year old nephew but can't see him using it for long. Expensive for what it is.
