Longish delivery time
Everything was straightforward enough but it took nearly 2 weeks to receive the item. I did receive an email saying "as per their delivery statement, they're allowed up to 28 days" but who goes looking for the delivery small print? Other than that, the item was the usual excellent Zilco quality and their ordering procedure was as easy as anyone else's.

We're sorry that the delivery time was longer than you expected. As a specialist retailer, we stock a very extensive range of products, but with thousands of items available from Zilco, no UK stockist is able to hold the entire range on the shelf at all times. This means that occasionally we need to order products directly from Zilco in Australia before we can dispatch them.
To help customers make an informed decision before ordering, our delivery information is displayed on every product page and is also included in the order confirmation email. Whilst we ask customers to allow up to 28 days for delivery to cover any unforeseen circumstances, products that need to be ordered are typically with us and ready for dispatch within 7–10 days.
Unfortunately, around the time of your order, we experienced delays outside of our control as international couriers were rerouting shipments to avoid conflict areas, which extended transit times beyond what we would normally expect. This is precisely the type of situation that our published delivery times are designed to cover.

Black leather Ideal Driving Bridle
Ordered a black leather Ideal cob sized driving bridle, was kept updated about delivery time and absolutely delighted with quality of bridle, fit and ease of assembly. Pony also seems very happy with new bridle, and price was good for such a high quality item.

Chased order after waiting 2 weeks
Chased order after waiting 2 weeks. One item out of stock so whole order had been held without notification.
Missing item had no due date so I requested a refund. Disappointed as had to order elsewhere and pay 2nd lot to f postage.

We’re very sorry for the delay with your order and completely understand your frustration. As noted in our delivery terms, some products do need to be ordered in specially, and this can unfortunately take a little longer. We recognise that we should have communicated more effectively, and we sincerely apologise for the lack of updates.
We also chose not to split the order because it was a very small one, and sending two separate shipments would have resulted in a financial loss while we waited for an update from our supplier. We did inform you the moment we were aware that the remaining item had not come in from the supplier as expected

Very helpful
My first order was placed and I had a message offering discount if I placed another order within 24 hours. I made a mistake but they corrected it for me and I paid a small pence balance. They sent treats for the horse and then offered further discount for a month. Very friendly small family run business.
