I met Sarah from Harratts Legal Services when she was supporting a friend with their estate planning and was immediately impressed and decided to ask her to support myself and my partner to make and register Lasting Power of Attorney documents and update our wills.
Throughout the process we received the most helpful and professional support from Sarah and would not hesitate to pass on my recommendations to others.
I was introduced to Ian from Harratts via a “pre-retirement” workshop at work (NHS). His was the only presentation I was interested in and it was the most informative. I decided to ask for an individual appointment and Ian duly came out to my house, met with my son and I. There was no hard sell. Ian then went away and Harratts staff prepared all the documents: two new wills, placing the house in trust, and medical & financial Power of Attorney. Ian did his best to make quite complex issues as simple as possible. I felt reassured at all times that he was giving good advice for our benefit. It took a few months to get everything sorted and finally witnessed. It wasn’t cheap but in my view money well spent to ensure my son has the minimum of hassle and the maximum benefit after I’m gone, and that our wishes will be carried out. My neighbour who witnessed our signatures was so impressed with Ian that she subsequently decided to appoint Harratts to do some work for her. I have no hesitation in recommending Harratts in general and Ian in particular.
