This Judge Classic Red Kitchen Timer is a great addition to any busy kitchen.The wind-up mechanism means there's no need for batteries. Simply twist the timer around to 60 then back to the required time. When the time is up a clear ringing alarm will sound.

Brought this timer for my elderly parent who is hard if hearing ,for kitchen use, on the pretext that it was being sold as a "loud timer". .it is certainly NOT that....the timer only rings for a second or two.....so im not happy with this item at all

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Sorry to hear that you are not completely happy with your purchase. I just wanted to double-check that you are turning the dial 360º clockwise to charge the alarm before turning anti-clockwise to the desired number of minutes. I hope this helps.

What Iis needed in this product is a good loud signal when the time is up, but this was barely audible, unless the timer is right beside you and no kettle or other appliance is on at the same time.

Nice little timer, but the alarm is not very loud and does not go on for long enough. Okay if you are in the room, but not if you wander off to do something else!
