This is a traditional looking very solid kettle with a temperature gauge from 50c - 100c which operates with a little slider on the base. Marvellous! If you’re making instant coffee you don’t need your water to reach boiling point. If you’re into herbal teas you don’t need your kettle to reach boiling point. If you’re making a Hot Toddy (medicinal) you don’t need boiled water and if you’re getting a hot water bottle ready to go with the aforementioned hot toddy you still don’t need boiling water. You could have a kettle without the temp gauge and stand watching it then flick the switch before it boils and hope for the best but honestly I’d rather sort the cat out and………… Just get one 👍
