I’ve already used it to dice ingredients for a Waldorf salad and to slice vegetables. I love it! The unit is compact and easy to store and the box containing accessories takes up only half the space needed for similar items for my Magimix (now dispensed with as I much prefer the Kitchenaid. The major advantage is the ability to choose the size of the receptacle needed for the chopped product: the space in a food processor is restricted to the size of its largest bowl which can result in ingredients becoming compressed. This accessory is highly recommended!

I bought this as I’d been considering my need for this or a standalone food processor for some time. I’d previously had the rotor shredder/slicer but never got round to buying the extra drums, and then the design changed. This is much easier to store than the rotor shredder. The case for for the bits means you won’t have to go rummaging at the back of the cupboard for the one that got away. The dicing feature is a dream. What’s more, if you are chopping a large quantity of veg, you aren’t restricted by the size of the food processor bowl. I’ve used the mixer bowl to deal with a large quantity of marrow. Some reviews have questioned the weight of the article. I don’t find it heavy but it is definitely robust, which is needed when you are putting tough veg through it.
