Hawkeye Falconry UK Reviews

We were given this experience as a Christmas present so we didn't really know what to expect. It far exceeded any expectations we had! You arrive in beautiful Thorsby park where there is loads of parking, even today on Good Friday, it was relatively quiet. Then there is a short walk, just under 1/2 mile to the Aviaries. We were met there by Alistair who is such a friendly guy & made us feel very welcome. There were 11 people in our group, of which we were 4. First we met Milo (the Owl) and the kids got to have a go at getting him to fly to them in the Barn, this was great but then it got even more exciting! We got to go into a wooded area and then a large walled garden where we got to fly all sorts of different Owl's, Hawks & a Kestrel. It was a beautiful sunny day too which added to the experience. I would highly recommend this experience. You just have to remember to get a £3 parking token from the lady in the visitors centre on the way out to release the barrier for the carpark.

Alistair brings the experience to life with his obvious deep love and connection with each bird-he gives you really interesting bits of information about the birds, their stories, their life in the wild and their plans for the future. Incredible! The birds are stunning. The whole experience fantastic!

The organisation was superb and Alistair's enthusiasm, knowledge and love for what he does clearly shone through. As well as being incredibly enjoyable, we also learnt so much. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing, wonderful experience. Up close with birds and learned a lot about conservation of owls worldwide. Highly recommend the experience.

Amazing experience today and a massive thank you to Alistair for his patience with some excitable 9 year olds! We all had a great time, the birds are stunning and the kids were talking about all the facts they learned today from Alistair all the way home! Would highly recommend

Absolutely amazing experience on Saturday & I was merely a spectator. I booked this as a birthday present for my wife back in January. Alistair is truly passionate about his birds of prey & the conservation of these magnificent creatures. The whole experience was captivating introducing knowledge & "hands on" interaction with the numerous types of birds he has to display. The birds are extremely well cared for & loved by Alistair, the way the birds respond to him is quite amazing & clearly show how "they" trust & love Alistair. The venue is so picturesque & allows everyone taking part to get up close to a wide selection of birds of prey - holding & flying them, my wife really enjoyed & fulfilled along time ambition 😀 "Star of the show" was Elvis the Peraquin Falcon, that boy can fly !! Anyone considering this experience, don't consider it, definitely do it. Thanks Alistair

Fantastic!

Thank you so much!
Will definitely go again when the walled garden is completed & hopefully see new birds too.

We went to Thoresby from 2nd - 5th July and booked the falconry experience presented by Alistair. We all absolutely loved it. We learnt such a lot and had the wonderful experience of being so close to the beautiful birds. Alistair explained everything so well we all felt very confident about taking part. Fabulous experience!

Had an amazing time the birds are just amazing and Alistair is very knowledgeable about the birds answering any questions I had

Huge thank you to Alistair and his nine feathery children (birds) for an awesome time today at Thoresby Park, near Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. My nephew and I got to handle a number of various birds and see them and others fly around. We also learnt some cool facts. The layout and organisation meant it was covid secure. The birds are well looked after, were free to fly around, and at times did whatever they wanted to do. I cannot recommend this enough. Don’t even think about it, just book it. Memories forever.

Hawkeye were fantastic. was pitched perfectly for the age of children and every child got to hold a bird.Alistair was great with each class and was understanding of those children who were anxious at first. Would definitely recommend. Great company and the knowledge of the birds was super. our children learnt so much and were buzzing to learn more.

Alistair was fantastic with the children. They were enthralled and listened to everything he said. There was a perfect variety of birds and his love for the birds was clear. Highly recommended!
