RUDE COMPANY AND ANNOYING COMPANY

I don't want to even give this company 1 but I had to .. they constantly called my Aunty who has dementia to get her to take insurance on her appliences and boiler ... I spoke to the chap on the phone to try and explain she wasn't interested and to leave her alone ..only to get shouted at by the person so he could get his point across..he then said I needed to go to the bank to cancel a direct debit and he said " so we dont have to deal with people like you " so rude and no disregard for my poor Aunty... leave people alone stop phoning amd pestering them ... when they say they are not interested take NO for an answer

Scammers who target vulnerable pensioners.

I don't know how this firm are allowed to continue operating. They cold call pensioners - like my dad, aged 88 - and insist that their existing boiler cover has expired and proceed to pressure them into buying theirs. £312 my dad lost to these scammers. Cancelling within 7 days (as per their own wording) will not get your money back. BEWARE.

Pack of lies.

They phoned me up saying that my renewal was now due with them which was untrue as I am with another supplier and had never heard of them, however as they were wasting my time I thought I would waste theirs show an interest. They have phoned me three times now and when I question them on things regarding various aspects of my account with them they oddly say they haven't got those details to hand. I can see how all this would confuse some older people in signing up with them but any company that cold call people and constantly pester and tell lies are definitely ones to avoid.

Avoid: unscrupulous and exploitative

Like many other reviews I have also found this company to be exploitative. In my case I found my mother (in her late 80s, living alone and with dementia) had taken out a contract with them even though she already has cover for her boiler with a different company. It would have been obvious from speaking to her on the phone that she was not able to make an informed decision. Really sad that such unscrupulous companies exist. What they do may be technically legal but it is certainly not ethical.

Excellent Plumber and Heating Engineer

I have used many plumbers over the last few decades but Heat Plan Scotland is head and shoulders above the rest. Scott is polite, professional, courteous and efficient and always provides a good service. I would highly recommend Heat Plan Scotland for any pllumbing and heating work.

Less than 1 star if I could

Less than 1 star if I could.
This company is forever calling me. Today again, this company has called twice. Second caller stated that they were ringing to update my plan with them. Really difficult to do seeing as I haven't got a plan with them. Told the caller didn't need their help, didn't know where they got my details from and to take me off their call list.
Let's see!!!!!!!

No Service Provided in Over 2 years to my Elderly Mother

Looks like my elderly mother has been scammed as per other reviews.
After looking to organise my elderly mothers finances i come across an agreement from Heat Plan Utilities dated November '21'. I wasn't aware of this agreement and she couldn't recall how / why it was taken out, even though she was already paying for similar breakdown / service agreement with Scottish Gas.
I cancelled the Scottish Gas agreement as there was no point in paying for 2 x services.
I have since been trying to get them to carry out a boiler service without any success and i have had to make numerous phone calls for updates on what is happening (they say they will phone back but never do).
My recommendation - avoid. It seems that their business model is based on taking advantage of people (the elderly and their trusting nature) by promising a boiler breakdown service and free service but having no intention of honoring the service part (or at least that's my experience).

Easy and friendly experence

Took out policy with Heat Plan as needed a service to be done for my mothers boiler as the private engineer she booked never showed up. A lady called Amy walked me through all the packages and helped with all my questions. Nice customer service team booked in the service with me and last week was done and sorted.

Was sceptical about the company after I saw some of the reviews but from my personal experience it's been easy and really great customer service. Was even given 3 months free cover on top.

They don't give the service that's paid for.

I have paid up front for boiler service and repair I now require the boiler servicing I have contacted them on four separate occasions and Every time I am told they will get the service engineers to contact me to make an appointment but they never do it seems to me they have my money so why bother with the service they ought to provide I Will Never use them again.

A young person cold called my 84 year…

A young person cold called my 84 year old recently widowed mother one afternoon, as soon as anyone speaks to my mum on the phone you can tell instantly she is an old, confused lady. They convinced her the boiler cover that she had with them(she hasn't and never has) had run out. My mum does not even have a gas boiler and has Home serve for her home insurance needs. The person tried to get mums card details to make a one off payment but luckily mum got confused and didn't know the security number. Mum told them to ring her daughter (me) the next day but obviously they didn't because I'm not an easy target to con. My poor mum was so upset and crying because she thought she had done something wrong. We have had to change mums card and she now does not want the card in the house as she is so scared of getting ripped off. Very underhand and sneaky of your Marketing division, have tried to call but no body answers . Disgusting is not a strong enough word
