Horrendous website support

Wow, just wow. Their website isn't processing purchases - it just errors out. Tried chat, email, and phone. No response a week later. We've purchased sooooo much equipment from them over the years. That won't be happening anymore.

I made a purchase of over $2900 from…

I made a purchase of over $2900 from Henry's missisuaga around 2 or may be 3 months back. I believe while selling expensive items atleast they should have courtesy to check the accessories which they give along. They gave me a tripod which is absolutely crap. It takes ages to balance it. Highly disappointed with the sales person and his working style.

Ordered 2 weeks ago - nothing

Ordered 2 weeks ago, still ‘processing’. What kind of company sells you a product, keeps your money and gives you no idea when they’ll actually deliver. All emails have gone unanswered. Looks like I’ll need to go through my credit card. AVOID, wish I’d seen these reviews.

Just bought a used Canon 1D X from the…

Just bought a used Canon 1D X from the Ottawa store rated a 9, it should have been a 10, the camera looks brand new, right out of the box.
And the price was just perfect.
Looking forward to purchasing more products from there.

Great Service and assistance

Recently went to Henry's Oakville, to get some new photos developed for Xmas Gifts. The photographer had sent me a file of 20 pics that I needed to review and select for developing. Anil took the time to assist me to download all the pics on a Memory stick which made it much easier to access the photos that I wanted to develop. I was also helped by Eric when i encountered some challenges using the Print machine. In the end, all the pics were developed to my satisfaction. Thanks to Eric and Anil, the new pics were well received by the recipients.

Cheers for Stephanie at the Scarborough Henry’s

I went to the Scarborough store to develop some travel photos. I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience! Stephanie was cheerfully helpful and kind. I will look forward to seeing her again whenever I need equipment or advice. She is the kind of employee that make visiting Henry’s such a pleasure. What a superstar!

Great service in spite of no sales!

I had a problem with a memory card and an old camera. Nicholas at the Limeridge store spent at least half an hour walking me through the steps needed to put things right. He was knowledgeable and patient, and Henry's made not a dime out of the transaction. That is wonderful service, and I would go back there like a shot, specially if Nicholas is there! Thanks, Henry's.

Inflated prices

The staff were not knowledgeable about their products, Godox lights to be exact. They also charged almost double what their competitor charges for a softbox just because it is out of stock at the moment, and they won't price match. They are taking advantage of their customers who need the product now, and have to pay the inflated price.

Henry's has just lost a loyal customer…

Henry's has just lost a loyal customer and I will no longer do business with them. They refused my 24-70 F/2.8 lens just because a few specks of dust inside the lens and only offered me $250 for my 50 mm, 85 mm and 55-200 mm lens. I am better off keeping them up on Facebook Marketplace. Don't do business or buy/sell your camera gear with Henry's Camera. They will rip you off!! Buy new gear on Amazon and sell your used gear on Facebook Marketplace to get a fair & decent amount.

Website does not display their stock accurately to trap customers into making an order

Website said a camera was in stock, I ordered it. Shortly after I ordered it, I contacted customer service, and they told me that it was not in stock and they were waiting on the manufacturer because of delays. It was only after I placed my order they changed the website to “out of stock - order now for earliest delivery.” I only placed an order because the website said they had them in stock. It’s been weeks and I have no camera, still waiting.

Gross incompetence in fulfilling online orders

Not sure what's going on with Herny's systems but out of the 3 orders I've made on their site 2 seperate orders had issues where their "systems" caused a 6-8 week delay in me receiving my orders. Once maybe but two out of three! There seems to be some major incompetence with these guys and complete lack of care with their work.

Poor Customer Service

I bought a $70.00 gift card at the Oakville location and they loaded $25.00 on it. I went back to the store for a refund and they said they could not do for a gift card. I said they can leave the $25 on the gift card and refund the $45. They said they had to speak with head office and they would call me back. I never got a call. I went into the store after a couple of days and they just gave me another gift card with $70 which does me no good. I will not shop at this store ever again.

Wish I never saw this site

Wish I never saw this site. Ordered developing equipment and two lenses. All have to be special ordered. For one order been waiting weeks. Now have to wait for two lenses. Will never do business with them again.

Excellent customer service

A big thank you to Jeff at the Thornhill location of Henry’s for taking the time to ensure that my son with Autism got acceptable passport photos taken. He showed a great deal of patience and understanding and didn’t charge us for an extra set of photos just in case the first set didn’t meet government criteria. We will definitely shop there again and will let our friends know, especially those with children with special needs.

Not what i expected from Henrys.

I brought my Nikon D500 camera to Henry's in Kanata because of water droplets on my rear screen last April -May 2022. Waited for over two and a half months to get it back. When it came back most of the water stains were gone but there was still a lot on the top and on the side of the screen. I sent it back to have the rest removed. It came back about three months later with a different rear screen. The screen is a beat up scratched one that does not belong on my camera. It sticks out and does not fit properly. I brought it back and explained to them the new problem. They sent it back to the repair shop and i waited another two to three months. It finally came back from the repair shop again but no repairs have been done to address the problem. After being without my camera for seven to eight months i gave up. I tried to explain my situation with them to get it resolved but i felt they were never interested to help me resolve my issue. I should not have to send my camera back the fourth time because i already knew what the results would be. I had no communication from from Henry's unless i called for a update. When they made out a repair order my e-mail was always incorrect and this was after i told them and gave them the correct one. I even sent them the correct one and still they haven't changed it. What awful amatur and incompetent service. I will never go back.

I called store in london to see if they…

I called store in london to see if they had an item before I drove an hour to there store it took about 7 calls as they kept putting me on hold finally after half hour of calling back and getting hung up on they have my item so I drove to store upon arrival there was employees behind counter no customers but me when I walked in past front counter everybody dissapeared finally the lady asked me if she can help me I told her I was here to get the bag sitting on counter i she grabbed bag said I’ll check you out I said I wanna look around she said ok found a couple things I wanted in case I asked for help they just walked away so I decided im gonna leave the fella who rang me out couldn’t find my account when I asked why he raised his voice I don’t remember what he said because of being totally frustrated with there service I called manager he defended his staff basically told me it my fault I don’t know what has happened to Henry’s but in last 2 years or so they all have gone to toilet there new website sucks nothing in london store is on website what happened used to be fun to go to Henry’s the manager states no discrimination in my store but sir there is go in there in a suit all cleaned up they treat you nice go in there in work clothes they wont talk to you cause this guy ain’t got no money but hey you just let thousands of dollars walk out the door because of way I dressed after over ten years of shopping at Henry’s NEVER AGAIN there are smaller stores around who have everything I need in stock online shows what’s in store what’s not Henrys dont do that anymore and it’s not just london that do this so in my opinion train your employees in how to use a telephone properly and to not judge a book by its cover because just cause you look a certain way does not mean you have no money because of this you let money walk outta store have a great day

Misleading USED Item Section

I received my full refund from Henry's. I will not change my rating. This retailer misrepresented the condition of their used product I bought. And, it should not have taken three weeks to process my refund. Whenever a retailer claims a delay due to facing a high number of returns, stay away from that company.

There's something wrong with Henry's or any retailer when is takes weeks to process a refund.

I purchased a USED Nanuk 940 for CAD$99.99. It was advertised as Rated 8 but what I received was covered in scratches and doesn’t operate correctly. The item receipt accompanying the case doesn’t even match what I bought. Order fulfillment took over two weeks and was never processed until contacting customer service support repeatedly over a two week period to manually place the order through processing. Their customer service reps are good, based on my experience. Just don't expect quality response times.  I assume the dubious product listing is based on a Henry's store manager trying to dump bad cases on unexpecting people. 

My online user experience shopping with Henry’s is a total nightmare.  DO NOT BUY FROM HENRY'S. It's a waste of time and effort.  Shop elsewhere. I ended up buying a completely BRAND NEW Nanuk 945 from B&H and it was shipped and cleared customs the exact same day from the USA!

I requested a refund on Jan 31 2023, I still haven't received it.
