Utterly Disappointing Avoid At All Cost
Booked for four of us to celebrate a friends birthday. Service was awkward and staff were disorganized and disinterested. We all had steak and all of our meals were mediocre at best. We had a mixture of cocktails which were extremely average. Huge disappointment all round we only had a main course and drinks and our bill was £360 for the 4 of us. We are not at all adverse to paying this kind of money but would expect, premium service, premium food and premium drink when spending at this level. Herd did not come up to scratch in any aspect of our visit and I would not go again and for anyone wanting a premium evening out try the Firepit at the Cave Hotel. Similar menu but exquisite service, food and drink and a beautiful setting. Herd have definitely not got it right and we have paid a ridiculous amount of money for what we had.
