rubbish
posted on myhermes.co.uk which got invstigated so it was hermesworld responsible -
Sent a small package via Parcels2Go which was picked up on the 11th via the myhermes courier. Six days later is was marked as returned to sender when out for delivery. When queried P2G have no immediate communication tool (ie Phone) with their couriers and i had to wait up to two days for a response. They have no idea where my parcel is, when i contacted myhermes direct they were able to say the end courier (driver) couldn't deliver the parcel as the recipient had moved house - the recipient address was a well established business unit which had been there years and were available on the day of delivery. Now i have to wait up to another 5 days for the parcel to come back, i paid for a 3-5 day service as this was adequate at the time and we are now 7 days in with another 5 possibly until i get the parcel back and then it will have to be sent again, this time via another provider. Lack of helpfulness, lack of appropriate communication systems which ultimately leads to a fluffed service and a very angry and frustrated customer.
I should also point out i had to contact P2G for an update when i realised 2 days after it was supposedly sent back to me - there was no alert or communication advising me of what happened. I called the recipient and he mentioned i was the second person today who had used myhermes and the package hadn't been delivered. In a nutshell, P2G and MyHermes are both useless,
Appalling and impossible to contact
My front garden has been turned into a mud bath by one of their 'drivers' (I use the term loosely) who decided to turn it into a skid pan as opposed to turning on the path (something that's easy to do, even in a LWB van and he had an SWB transit)
I spoke with them via Twitter, and sent photos of the damage, to which I received this in response;
"Hi, As you are unable to locate your parcel I must advise you to contact the retailer to discuss a refund a replacement. They will also raise an investigation with us on your behalf. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thanks, Beth"
Clearly not reading any of the complaint and just assuming they'd lost it.
After a rather dissatisfied response, four days later I received the following;
"Please accept our apologies again for the damage that was received to your garden after this delivery was made and for the level of customer service that you have received so far from us.
Your must proceed make the retailer from where this item was ordered from aware that this has happened. They are the ones that will be able to compensate you for these damages that have been caused once they have escalated the delivery to their Hermes rep on your behalf.
You are currently communicating with myHermes. We are only able to send out compensation for damage to property if the shipment was booked to be sent through our network via our website with the authorisation from our account holders."
I was also advised to try calling them, that's a waste of time. Their IVR is constructed to ensure you never speak to anyone, it doesn't matter what option you pick, they basically tell you to visit the website)
I've given up with them and sent video of the appalling standard of driving to the local police and asked if it constitutes 'carless or inconsiderate driving'.
If I ever order anything again that says it's being delivered by Hermes, the order will be cancelled thereafter! – complete embarrassment and the fact it's impossible to actually speak to them about it makes it worse.
undelivered
ebay leaf blower did not arrive but marked delivered on tracking site cant find a way to take this any further,so I lose £30
Absolute joke
Ordered some michael kors earings from zalando they said delivery would take 2-4 days to arrive. 8 days later still no parcel the update status on there site was "on its way to courier" been like that for 8 days. contacted zalando and was told my parcel was damaged but asked me if I wanted it delivered anyway I said yes maybe the item wasn't damaged inside , after another 2 days was told hermes sent it back to zalando and I'd have to get a refund. Absolute shoddy service would never recommend they haven't even got a phone number for people waiting for parcels. Need to sort out there business take a leaf out of other companies and actually deliver there parcels. I'm one of hundreds of people on zalando facebook site complaining about hermes absolute rubbish service not delivering parcels ect. AVOID at all costs
Unacceptable service
I ordered some towels from John Lewis. In retrospect I should have asked for them to go to my local Waitrose for collection, but assumed, being John Lewis, there would be no problem over delivery. I did not factor in the Hermes problem.
My emails from Hermes showed that they had twice tried to deliver with no one in to answer the door. Not true. There was someone in at all times. No card was left. They had my post code and there are only two properties in that postcode.
Today, a week after the order, they were delivered at 15.30 with no signature required. Why their tracking system says delivery was two hours later than it actually was and that the goods were signed for is perhaps indicative of the Hermes problem.
John Lewis needs to review their delivery service.
Worse delivery company I have ever seen and should be shut down.
It took this courier nearly 2 weeks to deliver a parcel and to make matters worse half of my items were missing. I also ordered some gifts for my husbands birthday and will not be receiving it in time due to their incompetence. The delivery was suppose to be with me by Saturday but being told i will only receive it at the end of next week. There website will not even state where my parcel is. This courier should be shut down immediately and no company should use them. Very disappointed.
Delivered package to wrong address and wouldn't help!
The tracking for my package said that it had be posted through the letter box, but clearly not the one in my home. I was home all day waiting for the package, so they have not attempted to ring the doorbell or anything. When I tried to contact customer services there was not a single real person to talk to, there was only robot after robot trying to pass of the complaint to the retailer! Rubbish service would never recommend using it again.
Shocking. And a bunch of liars to boot.
Been abused verbally on my doorstep for legitimately refusing a cancelled parcel at Acgica's suggestion, then when I complained to Achica and Hermes the courier told a bunch of lies about me. Since then they have refused to attempt delivery for any subsequent parcels from any supplier and falsified records to say delivery attempted which is just appalling. Fuming!!
TERRIBLE SERVICE AND STILL WAITING FOR MY PARCELS
This is beyond ridiculous. I was fuming already by the terrible 'service' provided, now I have a look at all the comments posted by other people over the last few days having exactly the same experience - it looks as if Hermes makes a business out of making parcels disappear!
Ordered parcels from two different online retailers about three weeks ago. Hermes texted me on multiple occasions saying they would deliver 'today', forcing me to stay at home and they never came. Last week apparently they 'delivered both parcels to a secure location'. Only thing was, the parcels were never delivered!
To begin with, I was at home the whole time - so there was absolutely no reason to leave the parcel on an unknown 'secure location', but no one ever rang!
I keep live-chatting with Zara and asos, and all they do is asking me to wait 'another 48 hours for them to investigate further'!
How can someone just claim that they have left something on a 'secure location', without ever being instructed to do so, while people are kept at home waiting for their parcels, and with the location being so secure that no one even knows about it? I've had delivery companies do that before - but they take a picture of the location they left the goods as evidence that they did so, they don't just 'claim' they did!
Terrible terrible terrible. Shame.
rubbish
My parcel didn't even turn up even after phoning Hermes several times and been told it was out for delivery, in the end I had to travel 30 miles to a Wilko store to collect which was a pain as it was a large heavy mirror
Shower of S**T
They seem to blatantly lie. Item "left securely in porch". No delivery card/notice. I do not have a porch. I also do not have the item I paid for. Shower of..........
Terrible experience - Would never choose these to deliver
The first 3 occasions Hermes attempted to deliver, there was one attempt where someone was home all day as I had multiple deliveries due to arrive. One was received from Amazon directly and another from Yodel. Upon going to the foyer to collect the delivery from the Yodel driver how had buzzed, a Hermes slip was found, but no attempt had been made to ring the buzzer.
The second 3 occasions have not even been attempted: I was out all day of the first attempt on December 29th, similar to the above with a slip being left on the 30th (yet this time I was in all day myself) and no attempt to ring the buzzer was made. This slip clearly stated they would make their third attempt on the 31st. I thought this odd as it was New Year's Eve, but again I was in all day and delayed my evening plans to leave at 7pm, but specifically left a note on the front door to buzz Flat 13 as my neigbour would be in all evening. Nobody came again.
For the first week of January (I appreciate the Bank Holiday) but I was at home continuously from the 1st to the 4th and no final attempt has been made to deliver.
The slips that I did have posted were never completed in full: The only details completed was if it was the 1st/2nd/3rd attempt and what date the next attempt would be made or if it was going to be returned to the sender.
I pity the sender as it was a smaller business operating on Amazon UK, but more fool them for utilising Hermes on both occasions.
I will never use Hermes myself. Any company I find using them will unfortunately not get my business as I will order elsewhere.
Dishonest Company
For years I've been one of the lucky ones regarding Hermes, and that was simply because the lady courier that worked for them was honest, reliable and friendly.
She was also overworked and underpaid, most likely the reasons she no longer works for Hermes.
There are 2 or 3 new drivers working for them in my area, and I'm now beginning to understand why Hermes have such a bad reputation.
I ordered from Zalando, who unfortunately use Hermes, they couldn't find my house apparently. I tried contacting them, but was told to contact Zalando.
Eventually I did receive my order, very late.
I ordered something else from Zalando which was due to be delivered yesterday.
I was in ALL day waiting. I used the tracking page, and was amazed (and very angry) to note that "delivery was attempted at 8PM"
LIES!!
It has now been rerouted to the local courier apparently, again!
You cannot speak to anyone from Hermes, it's an automated service, which is ridiculous.
I'm amazed that this company is still operating, surely it's about time that the big companies that use their "services" should kick them to the kerb!
HermesWorld of Rubbish
I purchased a item from Ebay off a company called Box Limited. The company itself is great but the delivery service by Hermes wasn't. I never realised how bad they where until I experienced it myself. I was expecting delivery of my item on 31st Dec 2016 and had the tracking information to show this.
Later on in the day I had a email stating my parcel had been delivered and signed for....wait, how??? I was in and nothing arrived.
I searched online on how to complain to Hermes and found two email addresses to use. So I emailed both and also contacted Box Limited to get them to chase it up.
Box Limited only had the tracking info which showed that the parcel arrived and that I had signed for it.....again, how??? They have my name off the delivery details, which is done by default, but no image of the signature. I was shocked, how can they lie about delivering when nothing arrived. I couldnt believe it. They are practically doctoring information, which is Fraud. The driver obviously made himself look good by lieing on the delivery status; who wants to loose pay by processing a failed delivery? You can tell they wanted to go out and party.
I Looked online to find out that Hermes employ drivers via self employment, which is cool but this provides no liability on lost items. Hermes also have no real way to chase up complaints.
Still 6 days on and they haven't even investigated my issue, maybe because they have so many to go through. These companies act as if they care but as long as they get paid, they really don't.
No delivery
Parcel was marked as delivered through letterbox. But never was. Literally had one job and failed.
Absolutely terrible service
Unfortunately many of the online shops, places I shop with and order from have chosen to use Hermes as their delivery couriers and I really don't understand why as they are forever late and cause problems. At least three times within the past couple of months I have had to contact them with regards to my order, either about where it is, that it's late or that they've stated my order has been delivered when it hasn't.
Focusing now on the actual delivery staff, never do they actually knock on the door to give you your order and its very rare if they do. Even when its obvious people are home they still do not knock or leave a delivery slip (which should be done if not delivered to someone as how will people know where there parcel has been left, delivered too, taken too?) Instead they have left my parcels quite obviously on my doorstep, for everyone to see. Luckily I have never had anything stolen or taken from my doorstep as someone has found it soon enough! However this is disgraceful, especially when my items may be worth a fair bit of money!
To be honest, I'm sick of having my parcels just carelessly left on my doorstep when you're delivery staff cant be bothered to knock on my front door and hand me my parcel.
Waited the whole day for them to co …
Waited the whole day for them to come.
Finally they allegedly arrived at the building I live in, found the gate closed and simply left!!!! without even bothering to either call me or use the intercom !!!.
This is my first experience with them, not a good service.
Totally incapable!
Any dealings I have had with this company or their sister company myhermes results in lost parcels. They do not appear to care about their customers at all. Their customer service is also the poorest I have ever come across. This is the only company who have consistently let me down, now a Christmas present has gone missing. What are they doing? If I had known that the company I placed my order with used Hermes for their parcel deliveries, I would have requested another parcel delivery firm. Hermes parcel delivery really need to get their act together, they are the worse!
Do. NOT. Use.
Parcel showed as delivered.
No parcel.
Contacted Hermes to be told it was signed for and to check with my neighbours.
I had (of COURSE) already done this.
I requested the name of the signee.
Hermes then decided it instead had been "left in a safe place, with a card through my door."
No card through my letterbox. Nowhere IN my close to leave something.
Eventually I raised a dispute with the seller - who advised me to contact Hermes.
When told I had already done this they said they'd investigate.
Came back to advise that as far as they wete concerned, Hernes had delivered to me and I'd signed for it.
Thankfully I always pay with PayPal wherever possible for any online purchase.
Raised a complaint with them over both seller AND Hermes.
Eventually seller offered to refund me. I accepted this and was duly repaid.
Today I await another parcel from an idiotic company who uses Hermes.
I can enter my tracking number onto Hermes website... only to endure endless buffering.
This was a Christmas present. I paid an extra £4.99 for expedited delivery.
Not holding my breath on receiving this one either now. Already 3 days past the due "expedited" date.
I wouldn't touch Hermes with bargepole with sh#t on the end of it.
Unprofessional. Untrustworthy. Useless.
Do NOT use this Company.
Appalling
Two parcels from different companies both of which have not been delivered despite them saying they had. No note left telling where they have been left - if anywhere! The most surprising thing for me is that one of the companies using this useless bunch is JOHN LEWIS
