Mechanics of the game are quite interesting & got me hooked on the game but the company behind it is terrible. They care nothing for the player base, the game sees little to no improvement, new events that are released are designed to be money sinks. Stay away, don't waste a year on this game before you walk away, walk away now & look for an entertaining game.

After nearly 3 years I have stopped playing Hero Wars. I was suckered in by their ads - the puzzles they advertise are NOT a part of the game, they are an occasional add-on when threatened with prsecution for false advertising. For 2 years I played with minimal cash involvement, and it is a PAINFULLY SLOW way of advancing. So, I decided a couple of quid here and there wouldn't be the end of the world. It was the start of the end of the game, though. Suddenly, things vanishing from my accounts felt painfully like theft. I'd complain: I had earned X item by gaining all the required items that built it. Oh NO, they said, I was mistaken, they said. As a retired computer analyst I was used to carefully recording things. The next time I complained I had it recorded. They denied. Then Ignored. After a while, there was a sudden loss of earned points in some lower level characters - I had every character with a MINIMUM L5 of a certain item, but suddenly the 5 or 6 weakest characters had L0. I was annoyed. VERY annoyed, as I was starting to build up ALL my characters to L130. I reported it, but their automated reporting system said I was reporting it in the "wrong category". I tried a different category. Wrong Category. I tried ALL THE F***ing categories, and one of them DID take the report. Success? Nope! They just ignored me. FOR 4 WEEKS of constant reports there was no response. I decided I'd had enough. THEN they asked me to take part in an in-house discussion of their future developments. I contacted the woman inviting me, and advised her that I was NEVER going to play their game again, and explained why! She got back to me over a week later to tell me I had reported my fault ...TO THE WRONG CATEGORY! It was an UNMANNED, UNMONITORED CATEGORY! BUT it was the ONLY one that would take the complaint, but it was the wrong one. No Apology, no explanation at the time of report that this was not monitored.

I have felt SO MUCH GETTER since ceasing to play! I have more money, more time, and I feel that this is a game waiting to Rip Off players, and it's out-sourced(?) complaints system, Zendesk, is just there to block any complaints and is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

I met some nice guys, and enjoyed the friendly banter. I sometimes got a bit of satisfaction by building up players. BUT The game itself is an anticlimax, the only way to get on is spend money - lots of it - and the game's service desk is Truly appalling. DO NOT GET SUCKERED IN.

If you want to find a good game, avoid Nexters, and anyone using Zendesk as a Service Blocking Device. HERO WARS as a game deserves 2 or 3*, but their whole system? 0*. You won't regret avoiding this game.

Waist of time

There are some positive thoughts and negative thoughts about this game along with my experience. This game is awesome and I have played Hero Wars for the past 4-6 months. I have made more and more new heroes along the way and I really enjoy playing with my heroes a lot. But the bad thing about Hero Wars is that there are times where the game does not run smoothly mostly when I attend the campaign battles. There are times where it is choppy and it has been my number 1 annoyance. I’ve updated the game before but it still doesn’t help. Without the phone stuttering too much, I would rate Hero Wars 5 stars but I rated it 2 stars because of the choppy/stuttering gameplay. Please do something about this to make the game run smoother and faster without any bugs and without the game being choppy and stuttering.

HERO WARS ROBBED ME... Here is part of my conversation...Do not tell me you understand if your not going to fix the problem, i was told "Our dev team confirmed, that these offers weren't displayed correctly at the beginning, however, their prices are displayed correctly now. Unfortunately, this purchase can not be refunded since your Guild mates were affected by it " Which means that i was WRONGLY CHARGED!!!!! How can you even try to ignore this?? I also could care less that you gave my mates presents because again that is YOUR FAULT, i did not agree to pay $225.00 and that is clear and your team even admitted that. I purchased an item for $18.75 but you charged me $225.00!!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU NOT RETURN MY MONEY?????????? And why do you keep saying our terms... our terms... i think if your terms stated you could charge $225.00 for a $18.50 package you would be shutdown. I am going to expose you through reviews, blogs, everything i can until this is PROPERLEY resolved and i get money that i did not agree to spend with you back!!!

This game is obviously designed to get you to spend money to win. I decided I wouldn't spend too much money. So far I have spent only $3.00. My team is currently at level 51. So I have done fairly well without spending much money. The thing is: The arena is a load of crap. The power ratings shown for other teams are lies. I have fought teams with power ratings 20,000 points below mine, and I lost. So...am I gonna keep doing this? Seems like a waste of my time.

The game is designed for you to spend money to advance quicker, and as you play you realize the need to advance. They have event where if you buy certain items you can indeed advance quicker. The problem is, some purchases when selected ask you again if you want to make this purchase whereas others dont. If you make a mistake by accidently selecting one of these items (some being as much as $250) and question it with their support, they pretty much tell you tough luck. Happened to me and I even asked them to check my spending history. Be careful as this game is designed to have you spend money.

Good game, but not because of the game... Because of the friends. The game itself if a dredgy, nightmarish money pit where they slowly soak you of everything you have. I am 8 months in and $400 down, and I decided that I would be done. Not gonna leave my friends, they are too amazing, but not gonna spend another penny either, not even for the speed boost thing.

Firstly, herowars is sexist, making all males strong and buff, while making females all sexy
Next, herowars makes clickbait ads. (the ads never show the real part of the game)

Uh its me again and Im on level 105 with no paying and only spent 3 months playing. I have a good guild and stuff :) oh yeah and I'm Fulcrum.

I spent money with an advertiser for an emerald task and even though it shows the correct account # on the task completion screen, the emeralds were sent to a secondary account I only play for free. I’ve asked customer service to move the emeralds and no action has occurred. I won’t be spending any more money on this game if they can’t fix something this simple for a loyal customer!

This game …hero wars can become so much better to player base community if they put in a reset button for hero’s artifact, equipment, or even glyifs. It’s way over do for this for it can be world of difference and life changing. We as a player base gave hero’s that will no longer be use or want to use, which is a waste of resources that can not be reclaim and be put to better use. There will always be players that will spend for many reasons, but it would free up more people to want to spend if they can reuse their resources. Pls, nexster hear this out and at least meet the community half way us this. Thank you.

Got scammed two times, as their ad tracking reward program did nothing even tho I completed the offer - twice. Stay away. They give paying customers the boot and laugh at you. Support tickets #10070695 and #10070691

bad game, it's a money trap.
let's start with the game mechanics: the game is absolutely repetitive, you have to log in every day and always do the same boring things, click, click and click again. the graphics are two-dimensional and the character models are made in cartoon style. they might seem suitable for an audience of children, instead there are many references to sexuality and certain female characters are literally obscene, just to delight the slobbering elders who frequent this community.
now let's analyze the micro transactions and paid functions side: the game is not enjoyable from free to play. you have to spend at least 50 euros a month otherwise you can't find a guild of active players to have fun with. I made the mistake of spending around $ 3,000 in two years and hardly managed to be part of a group of active players.
the community: absolutely toxic. 95% of the players are middle-aged or elderly retired men. they are not able to live a game peacefully and spend around 1000 euros a week. probably ludopathic.
out of 10,000 players there are about 2000 real people, because many of them have 10 accounts each. probably lonely people with no social life. there is no moderation and control by the software house, in Hero Wars whoever pays has the right to do what he wants.
every week there is an event where you can buy resources to upgrade your team, the average player's spending is around 200 euros per account.
the game often crashes and is full of bugs.
so what do we have in exchange for a game that costs like a Dubai vacation? repetitive and boring mechanics, unwatchable graphics and features, toxic and unfriendly community. boredom, boredom and more boredom. and if you don't spend money, you can't even play.
also to report important limitations in the currency you choose for payments, the game assigns you one based on your IP. it goes without saying that the prices in dollars or euros are exactly double the prices in rubles.
to be avoided absolutely, the worst game in circulation in 2022. a real scam.

My friends lost their money, they spent it on the emeralds but never got it. Don’t play this game. This might happen to you. If you are addicted to this game, I advise you to think about what will happen if you got your money stolen.

Ironsource and nexters have stolen $127 from me. Both companies are responsible and apparently both are scammers and thieves. DO NOT DO ANY EMERALDS TASKS!! They will take your money and give you nothing even if you provide proof that a task was completed. There's no excuse for weeks to go by before receiving the emeralds. Its been weeks so far and i still haven't got my 108k emeralds!! Avoid both of these companies until they fix this massive issue! I'm sick of this behavior..... I'm not alone in getting ripped off like this but nothing seems to change so save yourself the headache and skip playing hero wars and definitely skip doing any tasks for emeralds. They do not give you the emeralds for tasks you complete.

Best game out there, I can Guarantee that if you spend time playing this game (I’m talking months, not just oh I played for a week it’s bad) then you will enjoy it. If you like rpg games then this is for you, it’s the best one out there. Practically all the bad reviews here are people not spending anytime on the game and thinking they know everything about it. I have been playing for over a year (web version, not mobile) and I love it. Sure, you have to spend to get good but you can be good just by spending 1.00$. it’s not pay to win, it is strategy to find synergy and priorities. Don’t give up after the first week, as you get better it gets WAY more fun. Another great thing is the community, it’s great to play with people and in general have fun. If you like RPG games this is the game for you!

Awful "game" that exploits the the addiction habits of chronic gamblers and gamers. It is a dressed up slot machine with bad odds, virtual (useless) rewards, and no cash back — you're essentially paying an online dope dealer to waste your time and effort with very little to show for it.

I have probably spent more on this game than a true F2P game (like Warframe, which is almost as bad) in the short span of a few two weeks vs. almost four years (on Warframe). Stay away; I will be closing my account after submitting this review.

this game is good i play it for 2 months and this game is so fun that i play it ever single day.
