Turned up at the airport to find the vehicle we had reserved had been given to another person. Was refused any other vehicle. Staff even refused to give a customer service number.

I have the presidents circle and booked a suv class but the expectation of a president circle status is that we can pick up the most exclusive selection of vehicles. They only had a couple cars under the presidents and a million cars under reserved boards and claim that they are all assigned to someone else which I’m sure they are not. Presidential status is trash at this point.

Disliked that when I really needed to reach a live person, or do a web site transaction to extend rental, all failed. I spent several hours over 2 days not finding an easy connection to voice my changes, and concerns.

The desk was closed when we arrived. You said you’d be open. No phone or online help. Almost 4 hour in the rain.
Then you charged me $250 for external wash. What? No explanation. Over 30 min trying to manage this through chat. No phone support.

Picking up the car at the Portland…
Picking up the car at the Portland airport was a disaster. First, there were several renters waiting to pick up their rentals and only one attendant trying to help everyone. The attendant was polite but understandably overwhelmed. To make matters worse he frequently had to run out into the rental garage to search for cars which took a lot of time. Second, I had reserved a 7 passenger Hyundai suv since I would be hauling family members and their luggage back and forth across the state of Oregon. What he tried to give me was a much smaller Suzuki because there weren’t any of the vehicle that I had reserved. Several of the other customers were having the same problem…they had reserved a large vehicle but were being given a smaller car which didn’t fit their needs. I finally had to walk the rental garage to look for a suitable vehicle. I finally found a suitable vehicle in an unreserved spot which he was finally able to give us. Once I finally got a suitable vehicle the rest of the trip went fine and the vehicle return process went smoothly. I had just recently signed up for the hertz gold+ membership and this was my first time renting from you in several years. Not a great start.
The rental was fast and easy
The rental was fast and easy. Staff at BDL international were great, including the gentlemen in the garage when I returned the vehicle. Price was competitive. The 2025 Jeep grand Cherokee was a good vehicle. Not that the vehicle is a reflection of Hertz. But I didn't like the side mirror location because it causes a blind spot making left turns and it's not very good on gas. Although it has a large fuel tank. The cleaning products used inside the car are somewhat overpowering for me and stay with my clothes afterwards. Other than that I have no real complaints. .y sister left her eyeglasses above the passenger side visor and I contacted Hertz through website to file a lost (forgotten item) and hopefully she can get them back.

Although the initial desk agent didn't honor/recognize the President's Circle choice options the lot agent did and allowed us to pick a car we wanted. The car was clean and car selection was good. Return was very quick and efficient.
