Car was clean, process, pick up, droping car to airport were so easy. I like the Hertz.

Made the booking from booking.com. Choose the insurance, but the local office almost forced us to take their insurance as well.

Our card was charged for personal accident insurance despite us declining any optional insurance when we collected the car at Atlanta airport. Still waiting one month later for any meaningful response from Hertz US.

Worst rental co
We booked via easyjet and paid up apart from car seats / extra driver.
HERTZ then charged us again and took another full payment from us and nearly £250 for “fuel deposit”.
We were told we would get a refund back for this but instrad have been charged another £290
Do not recommend Hertz at all, they have taken over £1000 from us
No cars
Our flight was severely delayed, which was at no fault of Hertz. I had entered my flight info on the app, and it assured me that a car will be waiting and ready 2 hours beyond my initial time of arrival (and reservation time which was 1130PM), our flight arrived at 1230 ish, and we were waiting for the shuttle by 1250am. By the time the shuttle got is, and took us to the rental center, we went to where the cars were, and saw a message with my name on it on the board to see the counter (it was closed). The lot was empty, and the lot itself was closed. So even there was a car, we had no way of exiting since all the barriers were up. TLDR, we had to Uber, and we could not get a hold of anyone on the phone via customer service because they were all closed, even the national number. Got to the hotel at 230 am. Had to rearrange all our plans the next day due to us not having a rental, and trying to get a hold of anyone at customer service was near impossible. (like an actual person). and even after getting a hold of someone, it was a lot of going in circles. we were told to we would get a call back from a supervisor, but no one called. Mind you we prepaid for our reservation too. All in all, we had rented from Hertz without issues, but this one time really broke the straw. We did get what we rented, BUT no one could guarantee that we would get what we paid for. And I know the staff just works there, but none of them were any help, and they all just gave us the run around in terms of an actual answer. The start of our vacation was definetly soured by Hertz, and yeah, aint using y'all anymore.

WHEN THOUsands of passengers getting off of planes to go to cuise ships, you would make prepaid, LOW COST, shuttles available to go from the airport to a hotel, or to the pier where the ship has anchored. I will look for a better rental in the future.

My flight arrives at almost midnight and the folks in the garage booth couldn’t have been more helpful and courteous. Have been a Hertz rewards member for decades - it doesn’t disappoint.
Great staff & excellent vehicles!!
Staff at the Hertz office were great & the vehicle was excellent (KIA NIRO Hybrid). The vehicle needed a wash, but the staff did not have time to get it done. I took the vehicle thru a car-wash shortly after pick-up. Also, I extended the rental without any issues - very convenient.
The experience @ Hilton Rosemont, IL was awful…
The experience @ Hilton Rosemont Chicago was awful. From no luggage carts available, and I was told only 5 were in the whole hotel, which was ridiculous considering it was a large conference. I had to make two trips between my car and my hotel room over a long walking distance while carrying luggage in extremely hot & humid weather. The hotel demonstrated a lack of planning and preparation, the staff seemed unprepared and unable to provide accurate information regarding conference-related questions. In addition, there was confusion about the restrauant/bar hours; the attendees were told hours would be extended, yet the staff had no clue, which caused further inconvenience. My hotel room was not cleaned even though I requested hotel services; housekeeping came into the room and didn't take the dirty towels, make the bed, change the linen, or clean the room. Multiple service failures diminished the value of my stay and I don't plan to stay with Hilton again.
