Hertz - Las Vegas - The Venetian IHG Reviews 

First of all Hertz is the best. However at the Venetian location the guy there needs help. Great employee poor guy needs help. He was checking customers out, cleaning the cars, etc……

Staff was prompt and friendly. Clean car and ready to go when we arrived. They make the process easy to navigate. I am glad we picked it up at The Venetian instead of the airport.

To be able to pick up your car and return it without standing in lines and filling out paperwork is a huge time saver.

Easy to use booking

Smooth and reassuring process from start to finish. The car was nice and well cared for. The people were friendly from the start (desk) to the end. They explained well where I could find the car, how to get out of the large garage and how to get back in (this was a large garage in Las Vegas, not your usual airport garage/experience).

Very Disappointing Experience at Hertz – The Venetian

We rented from this Hertz location twice during our stay at The Venetian. Our first experience was fine, but unfortunately our second experience on September 18 was completely different and extremely disappointing.

When my partner and I approached the counter, there was no one being assisted. We stood nearby waiting to be acknowledged, but the employee kept his head down and made no effort to greet us or let us know he would be with us. Eventually, we had to walk directly to the counter and ask for assistance.

When we asked about renting a vehicle, we were abruptly told, “I only have this last car.” We asked the price and were given a rate that seemed extremely high. We needed the vehicle that morning to accompany our daughter and son-in-law to an important home inspection, so unfortunately we were not in a position to walk away.

The entire interaction felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable. I had to repeat our hotel room number approximately five times before my partner finally repeated it himself. I was also asked about our personal auto insurance, which surprised me because I had rented from the same location only a few days earlier and had not experienced this type of interaction.

What concerned us most happened afterward. Because we questioned whether there truly were no other vehicles available, our daughter and son-in-law went to the same counter and simply asked whether a car was available and what it would cost, mentioning that they were also guests of The Venetian. They were told that a vehicle was available and were quoted a lower price.

That left us extremely uncomfortable and questioning why we had been treated and quoted differently only minutes earlier. We genuinely felt as though we may have been judged based on our appearance.

Our September 18 rental was estimated at $……. for essentially a one-day rental, including several additional products and a $…….. prepaid fuel charge.

We are asking Hertz management to review this rental, the pricing, the additional charges and, if possible, the employee’s interaction and the subsequent quote provided to our family members. We would also appreciate an appropriate adjustment or refund if the review shows that we were overcharged or charged for products that were not properly explained to us.

This is especially disappointing because we are guests of The Venetian and expected a Hertz location operating inside the resort to provide professional, welcoming and consistent service.

The staff were tremendous and very accommodating. Exceptional service and friendly.Highly recommend!

It was too expensive for a day trip. Price is $172.00 for the day. Would not rent a car for that price again .

Friendly staff and very convenient to rent a car from the hotel I’m staying at. The only one thing that was very inconvenient was, I was given a car not knowing with an empty gas, gas tank light up while driving on the freeway to the destination I was going to and had to stopped by to a nearby gas station.

the vehicle was nice ans worked well, the process was easy, the check out person was very nice and helpful. The only thing was the price was more than what the site on the internet advertized.
