Bad experience. Unfortunately, I made a mistake of buying a package believing this was a trustworthy company, but now I have doubts. All seemed to be working well, until I received a strange e-mail asking for the copy of my citizen's card or credit card... And that without any illegal activity from my part, just surfing the normal Web and accessing normal sites (for all ages). Although I can hide sensitive information of the documents, this request rises suspicions... I made some search and, although this company indicates an US address for correspondence, it seems that their real headquarters is in Moldova, an Eastern Europe country not very well quoted regarding corruption. Maybe they are trustworthy people, but my advice would be to be cautious about this service provider.

This is their original e-mail text:

HideIPVPN It doesn't work after reporting to support for a refund, they refused and don't want to return anything.

I've waited for a while before posting a review to have a good grab of the vpn performance. After around a month of use, the experience it's been very good, no dns leaks, good speeds, not many servers, but the ones available are decent, very stable connection. Overall very good performance of this vpn provider.

The service is good and works. Since by nature this is a very volatile technology, the real important thing here is the level and responsiveness of support. And on that front hideipvpn are second to none. Fast, courteous, and professional.

Always a raid response to problems or queries

Love the Polish VPN and the customer service. I have been using them for many years now. If I ever have a question/problem they are always very prompt to respond and help me.

This service is top quality. If there are any changes they respond very quickly and assuredly.

I only use this facility for a few weeks when visiting the USA. It used to be twice a year but now only once,. Only experienced a problem in my early use ofthe facility and this was quickly resolved.

The service has been non-eventful, which is a good thing. I had "experiences" with a competitor, NordVPN, which is why I ended up with HideIPVPN. Before, I had issues getting a consistent connection, and when I did, it was as slow as dial-up. All that changed with HideIPVPN. The service is reliable, the customer support is timely and responsive, with results that make a difference, and best of all, the speed is outstanding. I never though VPN speeds could be as fast as they are with HideIPVPN. Had I known, I would have been using their service much sooner.

Excellent service can view almost everything

We use HideIPVPN Smart DNS Service, but it doesn't work on all devices. For Example, you can't watch all Amazon Prime content on an Apple TV using smart DNS. We have AMC plus and HBO as additional packages on Amazon Prime, but can only watch that content on a PC, it will not work on Apple TV or on the PS4. On these devices we can only watch Amazon Prime original content that is normally available outside the US.
Also Hulu Live only works on PC, it doesn't work on Apple TV or PS4 either.

I didn't want to extend my package, but they steal my money anyway! And they said they didn't offer refunds! That's a robbery!

I left a 1 star review as a verified buyer on their own review portal and magically it doesn't show up and there are 0% of one and two star reviews. I've been using them since 2011 and won't ever touch them again after this. Shady as f***. Also their support comes at you like a pack of wolves trying to get you to change your mind without actually solving any of your issues or even apologizing their attitude seems to be that you're always wrong and they're right and don't deserve this 1 star review.

My original reason why I tried to leave a one star review was because they kept spamming me while I'm on a holiday to leave a review even after I chose I don't want to right now and to remind me later. Apparently their definition of "later" is in 3 days. I ignored the second spam mail to review I got but not too long after I got a third mail to review. At that point I gave them exactly what they so desperately crawed. All of this happened in less than 2 weeks.

As for the service itself their android app is so broken it's unusable. It keeps dropping connections without warning and you have to manually reconnect to the servers every 15 minutes. Also drains your battery like crazy. This wasn't such a huge deal for me since I prefer openvpn but might be to someone else who doesn't feel like tinkering with openvpn profiles. Their servers generally work fine but certain popular servers slow down significantly and/or start dropping connections no matter the protocol at peak traffic times.

In conclusion a mediocre VPN service completely ruined by rude, self-centered management and shady business practices. They put up a fake smile to the public but don't actually give a s*** about you as a customer. All they want from you is your money and a positive review so they can attract more customers and the cycle repeats.
