Highwayman Pub 

2nd visit after a really good experience last time. We weren't disappointed! We had gamon and beef this time. Roast pots and stuffing piled as high as we dared! Horse raddish and a handful of peas and carrots 🥕 plastered in rich gravy. Yorkshire pudding too! Lovely environment friendly staff. £15 each including a pint of the finest beer! This place is heaven. You cannot go wrong. Thanks all for a lovely evening you're on our regular visit list now. Mr & Mrs Chulumlee.

The lovely Carrie-Anne looked after us, from the moment we walked in, finding a table appropriate for us and our party of 5. Carrie-Anne went above and beyond to ensure our visit was as we'd hoped and she didn't let us down. Our food was excellent, as was the service and, because of the way Carrie-Anne looked after us, we won't hesitate in returning, or recommending The Highwayman. Thanks, Carrie-Anne x x

I had never been to the highwayman pub in gravely un till yesterday sat19th october 2024 for a birthday meal .. The food was delicious i had steak .. and was pleasently surprised with the prices the hospitality the wecoming staff and a great atmosphere .. i would highly reccomend this pub .if your looking for a large party of people on a table tjere was 11 of us .
We will be returning at christmas for dinner .

Excellent carvery, very impressive food and excellent value for money. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely disgusting place the food as is as crap as the staff called at this place after my dogs memorial thought what in the universal credit is this as we walked in but went with it ,for the staff to slag us of one said he could smell cannabis not to us of course and said to another member of staff we get all kinds in here like we was scum we have never visited this phoo hole before so not sure what he was referring at he looked like a wiz head twitching and lot the guy who served us the food was like prison food in fact I’ve had better food in jail lol !

I run air B&B and Glamping pods near to the highwayman. I have a S42 postcode. I recommend to all our customers and guests the Highwayman. Despite my loyalty myself and family were turned away tonight for an evening meal despite the fact there were empty tables. Priority was been given to one off out of the area customers attending Chatsworth fair. Thanks a lot Highwayman . Loyalty cuts two ways.

If I could give zero I would, I usually come here often, not any more, can't even get a simple salad right, gone off tomatoes and over cooked chicken that's so over cooked it breaks when you put your fork in it then saps all the moisture in your mouth to the point I couldn't eat it, tried to hide the over cooked chicken and gone off tomato with stupid dick shaped bread. Not today Satan

Ticka masala no rice!! Chips instead, been cooked ages ago Luke warm, 2 supermarkets over the road why no rice? St. Neots restaurant.

Love this place.

But something really needs to be done with it closing at random times. I've been in there when it's closed at 8pm with half a hour notice. I was told it's due to it being empty but you're not going to get returning customers when it could be closed at silly o'clock.

The food is always nice and hot and the bar staff are all happy and friendly and they always go out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Bottom line though something needs to be done with the early closers.... Surely that's not sustainable as a business.

Very welcoming, accommodating a large group birthday booking, bar staff, host and waiting staff were so friendly and attentive, the chef was was great with the Calvary - the beef for some of the party was a bit tough - this was noted by the staff. The overall Calvary had a great choice and we all had a lovely afternoon. The staff came out with pre given birthday cake, singing happy birthday and provided napkins. Will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend.

Excellent service and very friendly professional staff giving great service. Certainly improved since change of manager. Highly recommended. 👍

Absolutely disgusting service and food AVOID

Absolutely outstanding everytime. Food portions are big you definitely get what you paid for. Been several times now just had my daughters 16th there. Would definitely go again.

This is happening too often! Staff looks unhappy - absolutely shocking.

That place should be packed! Needs managing correctly - bring back adults only area

Real let down

Met a family member there and had a lovely breakfast, and a good chat, very clean nice and tidy would highly recommend and the price is value for money

Quality friendly service, excellent menu and food to suit all ages !! We often visit, especially the Elderly customers lunchtime menu, I would recommend a visit !!

My husband and I called in on the off chance on Sunday on our way back from London. We received and very warm, friendly welcome. The Sunday roast was beautiful and the suede and carrot mash was to die for, The Landlord and Landlady were very hospitable and had great sense of humour. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Me and my husband had a lovely roast this evening.especially love the parsnips. I loved it so much they gave me a box of parsnips to take home. Always a friendly bunch.
