Hinckley Bosworth Reviews 

Very slow checking in, only one person at reception. First room stunk of smoke but was heavily sprayed with air freshener to hide the smell. Bed not made properly
( duvets not covered very little milk for tea/coffee no drinking water. I apologise for whining but the price for this booking definitely warrants it. Not all doom and gloom the receptionist Olivia that was on duty was very helpful and was working very hard to please everyone.

Such a shame...We had our Christmas do here and the food was undercooked and cold.
The service was poor and unfriendly.
The bread rolls for soup were put onto a plate by gloved hand but no tong used.
The bar staff were unbelievably slow with no interaction or manners.
The room was crowded and without any Christmas decorations or lights.
This hotel has been here for many many years and you'd think they could get it right by now.
Also the bouncers were extremely harsh on young women who were actually enjoying themselves and not 'too drunk'

Irrespective of others "reviews" I want to credit this Council with only the highest rating possible ! With all services that have been afforded to me, both major and small, it has been humbling and so gratifying to receive the benefits of their policies and practices. In this modern idiom where on-line platforms abound and complaining is at pandemic levels - Trust Pilot also, I refuse to succumb to pettiness in opinions but to offer credit where credit is due. I hold deep and personal reasons for this complimentary submission which is deservedly well earnt by H & B Borough Council. Thank you !

HINCKLEY (not Yopa), leicestershire should be a nice town with great facilities and open spaces...however, far too many bigoted, uneducated morons spoil it for the majority who live here and anyone who decides to visit.
Beware of driving in Hinckley and Bosworth as speeding, tailgaiting, boyracing and road rage are prolific and endorsed by the council. You can hear most of them coming a mile away as they are so arrogant and pathetic they drive around causing excessive noise pollution 24/7 in their suped up cars/ motorbikes without any consideration for the majority who don't have such fragile ego's and can drive safely and to rule. You really do take your life into your own hands if you choose to drive around this area.
ALL public spaces and parks are consistently and distgustingly littered on a daily basis, whereever you choose to visit you will be greeted by broken glass, drug paraphanalia, discarded alcohol containers, cigarette butts, bags of dog shit left by inconsiderate/ arrogant and pathetic dog owners who do not have enough intelligence to understand how to use the many available bins in the areas. Too many residents in Hinckley are so bigoted and uneducated they think it is funny to drive like arrogant idiots and trash where they live with any and all kinds of litter and bags of dog shit. The bar here is very low.
Hinckley and bosworth borough council/ leicestershire county council/ Hinckley police/ leicestershire police are unable/ unwilling or too inept and ineffective to act and/or do anything meaningful or appropriate to counter the many issues that affect Hinckley and its residents on a daily basis. Both council and police in the area are well aware of the chronic anti-social issues in the area but offer no solutions, just pointless and useless rhetoric.
As a Hinckley resident born here 40 years ago i would advise you to avoid the town as crime is rampant and you will not be supported even if you report it. The council and police have lost any control and acheive very little in keeping the area pleasant and safe for residents and visitors.

Just went to the council to deliver my postal vote.
Went in and read the big sign that said it must be handed to a member of staff. The security then proceeded to tell me that I had two options, either post it....doh! Or I could join a queue to fill in a form to allow me to deliver my vote? What a croc of s**t!

1- I came to the office to deliver it, to ensure it got there on time. Or I would have posted it.
2 - why pay for a big sign that gives the information (but not all the information). If you are going to have a 'guard dog' to confront you to give the information.
3 - why do I have to join a queue for it to be given to a member of staff that expects me to fill in a form.
(I already filled in a form for my postal vote)
4 - if the 'guard dog' is paid by the council, is he not a member of staff. Could he not have a secure box? After all he is security. He also requires some customer training on how not to be condescending and officious!

Our complaints that are being logged are immediately marked as closed. Why? I have a screen snippet, will gladly provide it. If I could have uploaded it, I would have."Case start date" "29/05/2023 10:15:36","Case end Date" "29/05/2023"10:15:36. This is unacceptable, we pay our taxes.
