HiQ Tyres & Autocare - Mansfield Reviews 

I was recommended to use HiQ and was led to believe that they would not rip me off and I am wary of so many mechanics bumping up prices if they think they can get away with it.

Unfortunately, I asked for a price to change a boot switch on my BMW X1. They came back telling me it was going to cost me £130!!

They told me the part was £40 and the Labour was an hour?!?

Having watched a short YouTube video I had the switch out in a matter of seconds and plugged the new one in and snapped it back into place all within a single minute and the part itself can be obtained for £10.

So it begs the question of where on Earth they get the figure of £40 for the part and £90 for fitting?

Their Facebook page also states that MOTs are £30…..but on their MOT pricing it’s actually £55!

I feel thoroughly let down and would ask everyone to remain vigilant when taking their vehicle to HiQ.

I absolutely hate this kind of practice and especially in a cost of living crisis.

Hi Q are AMAZING and James is OUTSTANDING! He is kind, fair, explains mechanics in a way that is understandable. James has fixed my tyres, serviced and MOT'd my car and helped put windscreen wipers on! For a single woman going to a garage it can be very daunting with fear of being ripped off, but that has not been my story at Hi Q especially with James and his staff. They go above and beyond to fit you in and keep the price reasonable! Thank you HI Q.

The guys at the garage really helped me out. Friendly, with a good location. The chaps know their stuff and will get you back on the road.

I have been using HiQ for about 8 years now to MOT and service my cars.
I find them to be highly reliable and always go the extra mile to keep my cars on the road.

Car full of water yesterday morning in the footwell, went to the garage and booked it in for today for them to look at. Problem was the holes near the wipers were blocked up with leaves causing the flood in my car. This was cleaned out for me at no charge. I am so grateful and appreciate the excellent service.

James and the team at HiQ tyres and autocare Mansfield always go above and beyond for me. I've been using them for 7 -8 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. My car unfortunately failed its MOT this morning for various bits - tyres, coil spring, ball joint etc they managed to source the parts, get them fitted, wheel alignment, re mot and service all in the same day all at a very reasonable rate, actually staying a little late to get me sorted.

Hi Q Mansfield have been brilliant sorting us out, particularly James. My father in law got in to a bit of a pickle with a puncture and the AA wanted to charge him a fortune. I rang Hi Q and James was nothing short of brilliant. He got the tyre sorted quickly so my F-in-Law wasn’t stranded and at a very very fair price. I’m so thankful and as a family we will start using them regularly now. Well done Hi Q/James.

Had 4 new tyres fitted along with new rear discs and pads. Customer service at this place is outstanding very transparent with what brands/parts and price. Genuine people who care. Work was completed in good time. On leaving a second member of staff was also very polite. I will be using this place again and would recommend!

Fantastic service by James at the mansfield branch, he sourced the eagle f1 supersports I'd been trying to get hold of but was finding difficult due to stock levels everywhere. He got them in within a couple of days and at a great price too. I'm quite fussy with who I let work on my car due to previously having some expensive wheels damaged by tyre fitters, James took the upmost care with my wheels and I needn't have worried as he did a perfect job. I won't go anywhere else for tyres now as I was so impressed with the level of service and care taken. Thanks.

My ford focus required a new battery I purchased the battery from county batteries (kirkby in ashfield) I paid for fitting they failed to fit the new battery. I then turned to HiQ Tyres and Autocare to help me the new battery was fitted correctly and in good time I'm a regular customer and I would highly recommend HiQ for all you cars needs.
