For an amateur on a finance app, trying to navigate through the isa rules etc, I think the HL are friendly but need to not be in so much of a rush to talk through the information. Found out myself that you can transfer from stocks and shares isa to cash isa without utilising any yearly limits. However by opening a fixed isa , you need to open a cash isa with £1 using this years limit, doesn’t make sense.

I found the whole experience of the ID procedure extremely stressful although my daughter tells me it's normal these days. Your staff were at all times, very helpful and patient with a panicky pensioner! I was also offered some helpful information about other issues. The experience was over a couple of weeks not one day.

It is great to speak to a real person and I appreciate that there is a cost associated with that but its really important. I was asking about the fees I get charged and the lady I spoke to was very helpful and informative. I didn't give it 5 stars as I think she gave me incorrect inforamtion about teh fees on LISAs

Having had a bad experience in the past when trying to sell shares with HL, I can’t praise them enough. I am elderly but with the help from Briony, I was able to open a Stocks & Shares ISA online. She could not have been more patient.
