Holland pies have changed for the worse, just had a meat and potato and the pastry was terrible, it was almost burnt and very thick, I’ve never seen that in all the years, I’m done with them.

We’ve eaten Hollands steak and kidney puddings for 50 years - we are Lancastrians after all.
Not anymore. You’ve changed something, probably to save costs but they are now stodgy and unpalatable.
Bye bye Hollands.

We purchased Holloands meat and potatoe pies for the first time in several years as they used to be really good
I hope this message goes back to hollonds pies but have my doubts as they must be putting profits way before quality. I have seen bigger Christmas mince pies and the filling was sloppy and nothing like they were in the past one thing I would like to suggest please use less water I know it’s the cheapest ingredient.
I would prefer to pay more for the quality that they have lost making a product cheaper does not mean quality

The puddings have become a joke. Filled with water and gravy. More signs of life on Mars than meat in these puddings.

Very disappointed. I have enjoyed Holland’s steak and kidney puddings for years but the latest 2 bags of puds are destined for the bin.
They have changed the recipe and included garlic salt so they taste disgusting.
Sorry but I will never be buying another Holland’s pudding until they revive the original recipe. Why make this awful change? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
Update. Six months after leaving a review I have found some original recipe Hollands puddings and have just had a response from the company telling me to contact their customer services. I am hoping they have seen the error of their ways and are now producing edible puddings again.

Inedible sludgy slop! Not fit for human consumption!
Deserves 0 stars! The most disgusting food product I have ever bought! 'The O.Ks. No 1 meat pie', that should be banned under the Trade description laws. The meat and potato pie I bought after seeing this had 4 cubes of potato and a trace of meat gravy! This company should be condemned and closed down! Where are the powers that be? Nowhere!
I used to love Holland's pies but now they're nothing more than pasty with a bit of substance inside.
Cheese and onion pies are nearly as flat as a pancake, meat potato (or should I say potato and meat) if you do find any type of meat it's fat or gristle.
Why in this country do we allow our food to become disgusting and nothing like the product they advertise, And yet we supposed to have watchdogs who are paid vast amount of money, to keep these company's in check yet do nothing.
Holland's pies are nothing like the picture portrayed on the front of the packaging and the contents are a shrunken down, vile tasting not fit for the dog classed as food.
There's more meat and potato in a can of chunky vegetable soup.
I have loved Hollands Pies for 30 years in particular the steak & kidney pudding & the meat & potato pie, but all that changed last week when I had a steak & kidney pudding "effort" (that is all I can describe it as)
Within the pudding was a tiny finger nail sized decent piece of beef. The rest of the filling was inedible fat & gristle that was so bad even my dog would not eat it, & there was not one single piece of kidney. So are your puddings now the "Fat & Gristle Puddings"?
I also hear the company has been bought out, which has not come as a surprize as this once great British brand has clearly gone down hill as your pies & pastries taste nothing like they once did, which is so sad.
Went and bought a Hollands steak and kidney pudding and chips from the local chippy today
The cost at the chippy £2.20 for the pudding found it was a little smaller in size very little filling to suet pudding case
Certainly not value for money any more
Another example of shrink flation keep it up you will price yourself out of the market place as people look for alternatives
I just ate a hollands meat and potato pie. It was awful, there was very little filling and of that filling i could not find any meat. The pastry was not great and overall very poor. So sad they have changed so much they used to be lovely.
Gone down hill hollands, used to be good pies, full of gristle now
What has happend to holland meat pies , they are dry and very peppery awful. Meat and potatoes flavor has changed to not nice at all will not buy again
How can you put 1 piece of steak in a pie shocking what gets me from a company point of view is do they sample there food clearly not if they want to run it into the ground keeping doing what your doing it will be another large brand gone. Used to be one of the best guaranteed pies but its not the original owner so obviously the takeover owner will do a bodget and scarper as bodget has already taken centre stage.necer mind I have memories of the prior companies product which was amazing of course this this oppoinon will have no bearing or result because of greed
Stick a fork in and they collapse into a pile of inedible mush, all that remains is pastry and hardly anything else, quite unpleasant. I'd give no stars if I could.
Holland's have rapidly gone down hill. The steak puddings and so called potato and meat pies are absolutely awful. I complained and they sent me a Postal Order! Can you believe that?
Any business worth it's salt would have sent a voucher to use against a future purchase.
My husband remembers the Meat and Potato pies being really good. Unfortunately these pies were a big disappointment some cubes of Potato and very little meat in a very mushy filling. Doubt we will eat them, definitely will not buy again unless the recipe improves.
Not had a hollends meat pie for a while but they just don’t taste the same .pasty was nice but the meat tasted quite peppery like they were trying to hide the fact that the meat was not good quality anymore I was quite disappointed. The cheese and onion pies are much better
Absolutely rubbish pies used to be best in the world potato and meat watery, steak pies and puddings full of fat pastry shocking what have hollands done ?
Awful "Steak " pie Pastry akin to dried cardboard, Hollands used to be a pie to look forward to, but now to be avoided at all costs..What rubbish and a disgrace to their relatively new owners. YUK Treating their customers like mugs
