First guitar I ordered was out of stock, chose a used guitar which I was told would be in working order but has a wiring problem on the volume knob/pickup selecter. This causes the sound to cut out completely quite a lot...very annoying.

This is truly an excellent shop. The staff are friendly and helpful and will do their best to help you find the right purchase. Their prices are competitive with the online prices. You don't come out feeling hassled or ripped off, but rather that you've had a great buying experience and have come away paying a fair price for a quality instrument. I really cannot recommend this shop highly enough. They offer a lifetime guarantee on their instruments as well. Do yourself a favour and support a high street music shop rather than buying online - it's worth it for the service alone.

I have bought a couple of guitars from this shop. Every time you go in you are made to be welcome. There is no high pressure sale and the guys always make time to explain the pros and cons of the instruments are are happy to demo them.

There is a wide range of stock... its like being a little kid in a toyshop.. could browse for hours. Give them a go, you can not go wrong.

Had trouble with other sites whilst trying to buy the same item, other websites saying on order 3-5 days until dispatch but when this didn't happen i was told it would be 4-12 weeks!
This site is one of those that refreshes hope in individually owned music shops :) at every step of the order I was emailed and the page was easy to use and self explanatory.
Placed my order on a Saturday evening and it arrived 4 days after which is great for a bulky item :) The item was impeccably wrapped and protected and arrived in mint condition.

Had a bit of trouble with this - wouldn't accept email address for recipiant, but eventually went through. Staff were helpful and polite when I phoned.

I've been using Hollywood Music for a couple of years now and much prefer using an independant shop such as this to a 'national chain' type store. The guys are always friendly, knowledgable and very helpful.

One of the big plus points is that the shop is staffed by guys from the industry - not with teenagers who are only in there to get more time playing the guitar.....we have all been to those shops - you know, the ones where the customer is a bit of an inconvenience! Hollywood could not be further from this!

They have an excellent stock of big name guitars/fx/amps and a superb keyboard department. My only gripe is that there is no home recording section, which is what I have been setting up just recently. I would have preferred to have bought monitors and software from the Hollywood team rather than give my hard earned cash to a competitor but you can't win em all!

As an example of their excellent service, I bought an FX unit via the mail order website last year and wanted it to use that evening. I gave them a ring and explained that I had a practise planned and would like to try it out so they arranged for me to pick the item up and even managed to spot I had actually ordered the wrong model. The correct model was waiting for me at the shop that evening. Excellent guys!

I ordered a guitar as a Christmas gift for my son. I was advised that it was not in stock in the UK but every effort was being made to get it to us in time - sure enough it arrived, perfect.

my husband wanted an electric guitar for Christmas, he gave hints as to what he wanted - hollywood music worked with me to have it despatched on a day I could be around for delivery so he wouldn't see. Price was great and the guitar went down well.

The Marshall Class 5 combo is perfect, real valve tech, simple does the job goes way loud plus has out put for the cab when you need that bit extra. Hollywood guys were great too.
