Homebase - Gateshead Reviews 

Miserable staff member, accused me of 'going too fast' when asked for my code; problem was she was entering '55' instead of '5.' When she handed me the item it was not packaged so I asked, 'Is there no box?' only to be met with a rather terse, 'It doesn't come in a box.' Got home and found a couple of dents in the item but after this experience I cannot see myself returning to this store. This visit was a complete turnaround from my visit on Friday (Only three days ago)

Visit to pick up some gloss at Homebase team valley a very helpful lady named Jean went out her way to advise me and make me feel at home. And alexis at the till listened to me moan on about my problems Save money on counseling and just go to home base (hope this comes out the right way )

We went here on the off-chance and ended up buying a table and chairs and a new BBQ unexpectedly. We couldn't fit it in the car so a very kind member of staff called Robson put this aside for us so we could come back for it. Really helpful he was.

Big thank you to Alex, at Team Valley Homebase,we were about to pay for a storeage box for our grandson's toys when Alex spotted it had been reduced by £9.

Selected delivery date was altered by them, resulting in phone calls to inform them they delivery date they had chosen was no good as I was at work those days.
This resulted in me not receiving the goods until a week after I had requested delivery of them.
On the plus side the delivery guys were polite and put the goods where I requested

Very helpful yesterday thanks Alex. We invested in new garden furniture and nothing was a problem. We where helped to the car with everything and the sale went through without issue. Alex was super friendly.

The online experience was fine. Having shopped at the Berwick store regularly (where the staff are great) I was very disappointed at Gateshead where the lady at click and collect just stood there and said nothing, absolutely nothing ( no " hello", or "do you have an order to collect?"). She was just looking at me blankly. Eventually she said "got an order number?" I said "can I give you my name please ?", she said "no". I found my order number and gave it to her. She then asked for my name! Overall very unfriendly for a mature aged member of staff.

Served by a lovely Cashier called Alex. Bought a product for my mother's bathroom, and Alex offered some really useful advice in regards to how to used the product effectively. Thank you Alex so much for your help and excellent service x

Luke at Homebase Team Valley was incredible.
He went above and beyond his call of duty to enable me to fit the shelving units into my car.
He was optimistic, positive and intelligent!
