Homebase - Stroud Reviews 

Went into Homebase Stroud. Couldn’t find the roofing felt. Approached an assistant who immediately stopped what he was doing. Walked me to the correct place (I’d walked past it several times!) then kindly carried the item to the till and out to my car. He was very kind, helpful and didn’t make me feel foolish for not being able to find or lift the felt! Thank you to Ross!

I recently needed extra vinyl tiles for a job that I had not purchased enough for. Ian in Stroud went out of his way to help me get them. He searched all the stock rooms as the computer said they were in stock, as did another member of staff. When they could not be found a special order was put in for me to the main depot and they arrived just a few days later. Very grateful - thank you for the excellent service!

I phoned to check stock on some tiles that I needed. The lady that answered (I think it was Eve) was polite and welcoming. I explained what I needed and she didn't hesitate in helping. She said that she would get someone to check the LOT Numbers for me and to save me waiting they would ring me back. About 20 mins later Lucy rang me to say they had them and they were loaded on a trolley ready for collection. Absolute 5 star service ... thank you

Didn’t have the stock after we’d placed the order. But got stock from another store and phoned to tell us when it was available for collection.

Regular user of Homebase. Staff always pleasant and helpful. We like the nice friendly greeting when you go into the store. Ian is particularly helpful. He goes out of his way to help and nothing is too much trouble.
We like the store layout and presentation.

It is unfortunate that my nearest home base that stocked what I needed is around 20 miles away. That being said it was easy to click and collect from the Stroud branch. They were very efficient and friendly. Despite being 3 mins after closing they still let me pick it up as we had got slightly lost.

All the staff who assisted me at Homebase Stroud were very helpful- my order was a bit complicated as some items were no longer in stock but it was sorted out satisfactorily, great customer service! Thank you

Absolute rubbish, customer service. No one was at the till waiting for my custom (or anyone else's)
Lucy was in the back room & had to be asked/told by another member of staff that a customer was waiting.
There was no, "hello, sorry to keep you waiting", OR even a "thank you" from her on taking MY money, then when I said "thank you" she just looked at/through me
I used to like Homebase, the shop layout is not so congested as others in the town, but dear me you've got to do better than this.
It may be a while till I return.

Every time I visit the store Lesley will go out of her way to find the exact product I need at the time. Her attitude to a customer facing role is exemplary, with my latest visit experience proving how much care and attention goes into her role. After spending several hours in a&e looking after my Nan, I was visibly exhausted, I asked my 13 year old daughter to pop in the store to pick up some required wood glue, at this point I’d completely forgotten about age legislation, Lesley was not only polite and understanding toward my daughter but proceeded to walk outside locate me in the car park to very politely explain a reason why they were not able to serve her. After a quick discussion and realisation that I actually do this for a living, being a mystery shopper by profession, we laughed and I purchased what I needed.
I am always very impressed with service from Lesley and overall a great employee, a credit to Homebase.

Julie in Stroud is wonderful. We were very awkward customers yet she had the patience of a saint. She worked hard to create our vision and we are very happy with what she achieved!
If only you could get kicthens as quickly as other online products, I'm too excited to wait! Thank you Julie!
