I had ordered a couple of items from HD on line as well as a product from the Newmarket store. The online products arrived without incident, although the communications on the delivery was abse... See more

Horrible service
Horrible service. Never going to deal with them again and I recommend others to steer clear.
Said they shipped a $1000 BBQ
Said they shipped a $1000 BBQ, but didn't. Three different agents over three days flat out lied about the delivery dates. Then the last one admitted it was still at the warehouse and would be another 5-7 days. I demanded a cancellation and was told it was 'escalated to their cancelation team' and would get a confirmation email. So far have not received anything and they have not given me my money back. Worst experience EVER online. They lost my business forever. Will stick with Rona and Home Hardware who are not garbage. Never buy online from these idiots.
The worst customer service company in…
The worst customer service company in entire North America!
One star is far more than they deserve
One star is far more than they deserve.
I ordered online with a guaranteed delivery date. A week has passed. Still no delivery. I go online and chat with customer service at least once a day. 3 days ago, they told me escalations would be in touch in 24-48 hours. Now they say 3-5 days. There is no way to cancel my order because they say it has been shipped but my order info just says “ready to ship”. They cannot provide tracking info.
They have my money ($1500) and will not deliver my products!
Avoid ordering online from Home Depot! I will NEVER order online from them again. Unless you are ordering directly from your local store as that seems to function just fine.
I would happily go to the store to purchase instead. I just wanted to have delivery as the items are large and bulky and would require me to make multiple visits to the store. I thought that would be a headache so I ordered online instead. What a mistake.
Worst Service Ever
They gave me a delivery date, I stayed home, it came and went, and they never updated. They drop off outdoors and do not even bring the item inside. Luckily I was home because I had no idea what day it was supposed to come, and luckily there was someone to help me get a heavy vanity inside. Will not order again.
Similar to everyone else here.

- Claim item will be shipped within 2 weeks (air conditioner in this case)
- Set status as 'ready to ship' for well past original delivery date
- When contacting customer service, they claim that it is in process of being delivered but cannot provide any shipping data or tracking. Also refuse refund as it is 'shipping'
Made an online order. That was my first mistake.
Made an online order. Swore I would not do it again, but they had an "online only" item I needed. No confirmation email was received, again. Spent an hour on chat with a bot trying to get my order number, then had to repeat it all with a person on chat. Repeated it again with a phone person. Got the order number and checked status...3 days later the status is "ready to ship" Not shipped, but ready. GET IT TOGETHER Home Depot. Bad experience.
Once they have your money they completely ignore you.
Ordered and paid for a water cooler. Was told 1 week for delivery. Week goes by, no cooler. Called them and was told that it hadn't even been shipped by the vendor to the store yet. I scheduled a day off to receive it and didn't get a call or email about the delay. Was told that maybe I would get a follow up call about a new delivery date. Had the same problem when I bought my fridge and later my stove. Will not buy from them anymore. Once they have your money they completely ignore you.
Brand new built-in oven stopped working two months later
What a nightmare! Stay away from The Home Depot Canada! Purchased a brand new built in oven and stovetop for my mother. Two months later, the oven no longer works! Home Depot bounces us to the manufacturer to seek part replacement through their warranty. Technician that comes in to inspect oven never even opens it up to check electrical components, connectivity etc and only by looking at the built in oven decides what part replacement is needed! Ludicrous, right? The saga continues with an offer for part replacement rather than defective product replacement. How can a two month old built- in Frigidaire oven suddenly stop functioning? After a month long exchange of emails with manufacturer and home depot, no results. They lie to the face of a senior and state a 48 hour exchange policy of appliances! They refused to send in someone to inspect the quality of installation they conducted and continue to be adamant about the matter. They are unable to guarantee for quality of workmanship and installation. Stay away from Home Depot. They lost a 20 year long-time customer.
Deliver was missed.
I ordered a fireplace from Home Depot. The delivery was scheduled at Mar 24. It was not delivered. It is very difficult to talk to a person. I was able to get someone on chat and I was told that it is already escalated to the support team. I asked for an email of the support team and she does not want to give it to me. I asked to chat with a manager. The supervisor gave me the email of the customer support who replied that it could take 10 to 15 days. I understand that there could be problem with vendor but the reason I bought this in home depot was because I thought they are reliable. I guess it is partly my fault as I already had a bad experience with home depot a few years ago and decided to give them a chance. I am hoping I will get my fireplace soon
My husband rented a van on March 19…
My husband rented a van on March 19 from Airdrie location. And we moved to Nolan Hills that day. When we are done, around 9 pm my husband went to the nearest location to drop the van off. There was a supervisor who took the van and key, said that they are closed but in the morninv he can do the paper work for the van without asking any question. My husband cannot speak or understand English, and he thought it’s the same company and would be okay. After few days later we figured it out that, The Home Depot still charging us although we dropped the van. We went to the Nolan Hills location Home Depots to talk and we were told that my husband left the key inside the van. It’s not true. They can check the camera. My husband gave the key and we think the supervisor understood that van from Aidrie and not to take any responsibility put key back in the van. We were told the window also was down but this is not true either. Today we took the van and returned to Airdrie Home Depot. Kith was so careless and underistimate my husband. I explained that my husband didn’t know and didn’t understand it has to be the same location where the van returned, he was like this is the first time I see something like that. I told him we are not renting can everytime and evwn we could be newcomers. And that’s the time he showed like only you guys didn’t know and I have never seen before.. etc. The attitude he has, so rude. Rented a van for one day, and charged for five days. We are asking for returns please and thank you. The location is: 2925 Main St S, Airdrie
3 months of failed contacts
I have been trying to get an installation of a shower door we bought through Home Depot since Jan 2025. No other store will touch the install since it wasn’t purchased through them.
No shows, no call backs, no one answering at the store, being put through to the wrong services and they themselves get frustrated. Home Depot must have a different way of doing this… or perhaps stop offering the f’ing service.
Lost Order — Refusing to Replace or Refund
I placed an order with Home Depot, and they completely botched the delivery. The package never arrived, and customer service has been a nightmare—giving me different answers, refusing to issue a refund, and outright ghosting me in chat. Every rep has claimed to “escalate” my case, only for nothing to happen. They’ve given me multiple “confirmed” delivery dates but the order never arrived. Now they can’t give me a date at all, even though it’s also been “confirmed” that the order has been on the truck since Friday, March 14.
Because it’s marked as shipped, they’re refusing to refund me until the order is returned to their warehouse—despite the fact that nobody has been able to say exactly where it is for over a month. Even after I directly requested it, they also won’t send a replacement.
At this point, they’ve made it clear they have no intention of taking responsibility. I’ll be filing a chargeback and taking my business elsewhere. If you order online, be prepared for zero accountability if anything goes wrong.

Unreliable Installation Services and Poor Communication
Having bought a replacement for a leaky one hole kitchen faucet at Home Depot Westbank BC we wanted to have it installed by their service. First surprise came when we learnt HOME DEPOT had outsourced logistics of installation services to a company named quickcontracontractors.com which picks an installer and notifies the customer by email. Second surprise: instead of a plumber we were assigned a contractor whose specialties according to the entry in the local phone book are Siding, Hardie Board, Soffit Trim Moulding, Painting, Renovation. Alright, we thought to give him a chance anyway and accepted the set day and generous time window between 7am and 12pm sent to us by quickcontractor.com. However, nobody had shown up by mid morning so I phoned the contractor assigned to us and left a message on his answering machine to phone me back. When my call was not answered by 2pm I phoned Home Depot Services to inquire and complain. Another surprise: according to them the contractor claimed to have left a text message on our phone earlier which happens to be a landline where no messages can be left! At this point I told the associate at Home Depot I had lost confidence in this particular contractor and wished to have a new contractor assigned - and this time a certified plumber please who would not try to leave messages on a landline phone.
All in all we are more than frustrated by the way HOME DEPOT is outsourcing installation servicing to a middle man (quickcontractors.com) who apparently are not doing their due diligence picking the appropriate contractor for a particular job. Moreover, the client is left at the mercy and reliability of the contractor who does not respect set dates and times leaving the client in the dark. As a conclusion we have learnt our lesson and will never again go to HOME DEPOT for installation services.
Virtual Assistant is useless
Virtual Assistant is useless. Whoever designed it should be fired. No option for something that does not fit the given options i.e. no "other". Does not move to a live person when the question is not understood, just goes round and round, no contact information on the website that does not involve the VA. As a business, I could not even submit tax exemption documentation. And no message on the site that they did not accept this. Would write a book on my experiences but no time after going through trying to contact Home Depot support.
Home Depot Deliverh
The people who had delivered our dryer to us today were very patient and professional, great service!
I am SO PISSED OFF at Home Depot
I am SO PISSED OFF at Home Depot. I booked a truck for my move March 1 well in advance. I was notified at 2 PM the day before my scheduled move that my truck would not be available. This stupidity on the part of Home Depot cost me time, stress, agro, money and much inconvenience. I will never set foot in that disgrace for a Hardware Store as long as I live. I will tell my family and friends to do the same.
READ ALL THESE REVIEWS FIRST!!!
Wish I had read these reviews before my purchase.
I was dumb enough to order a toilet on Feb 3 it was supposed to be delivered by Feb 12.
In the 17th I started trying to track it down.
To be clear I am 72 years old and can honestly say this is the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCONTERED. I was ignored, mislead and lied to. After 3 days of chats, phone calls and broken promises I finally went to the store in Charlottetown in hopes of getting some answers. They told me it was not their problem since a delivery company had the item. I told them it had been lost for 8 days so could I get a refund? NO ! They couldn't give me a refund because they didn't know where it was. I could only get a refund when they got it back. I got mad and made the mistake of raising my voice and demanding my money back. Some big hero who must have been a manager finally stepped in to help (or so I thought) Instead he told me he was going to call the cops and I would NEVER EVER get my money back. Great fun. Finally after about 45 minutes of phone calls and pecking on her keyboard she informed that (lucky me) I get my money back.
(in 3 to 5 days) funny it only took 30 seconds for them to take it away . Don't just listem to me READ ALL THE REVIEWS FIRST! . YOU KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WHEN MOST OF THE REVIEWS ARE ONLY 1 STAR!!!
Absolutely Horrible Delivery Experience
Ordered from them a $250 item that was supposed to be delivered 10 days ago. Have contacted their customer service 5 times with absolutely no resolve. They just say someone will call or email me and it never happens. So they have your money and then don't deliver your products. Each person you speak to has a different excuse and isn't helpful. Can't cancel the order because the carrier has it, yet carrier isn't delivering it.
