Home Depot appliance take away service? Don't bother!

I recently bought an LG refrigerator from Home Depot in New Rochelle and it's fine. I love it. This review is about the third party vendor Home Depot uses to haul away old appliances from the customer's home. My old fridge was over 35 years old and deeply stained by rust from our water here in the Bronx. I live on an island and have been told that we are at the end of the line with some of our water pipes being over 150 years old! Therefore we have rust and get red stains everywhere: sinks, toilets and the refrigerator which had a leak for a while, so it was stained. Home Depot sent its third party delivery service to bring my new fridge and take out the old one but they refused when they saw the old one. They barely spoke English but I did catch one of them mumbling about " cucarachas"! I was livid because there has never ever been a roach in my house in the 35 years I've lived here and there certainly weren't any in my refrigerator! I called customer service while they were there and at first they were sympathetic but as I was trying to get them to get a Spanish speaker to communicate with the delivery men the delivery guys got into the elevator and left. Customer service rescheduled me for the following day to try again. On the second try the same thing happened: they refused to take it and walked out. Again I called customer service --and now my blood pressure is probably 450 over 220--but the delivery guys had taken pictures of my rust -streaked fridge and so I was told by Home Depot customer service that they would not return and there was nothing I could do. Oh but they would refund my $50 for the takeaway. Gee thanks. I'm a single senior who has no one to help me get a refrigerator to the back of my building on whenever is NYC Appliance garbage day, after I have removed the doors and shelves and taped it all up and whatever else crazy annoying stuff NYC forces you to do to throw out an appliance. So I ended up calling some very nice folks at LoadUp.com who did haul the thing away yesterday,to the tune of $180 bucks. Home Depot, do better! Either get rid of those pompous ass delivery people of yours or instruct customers clearly that their ancient appliances, that are going in the trash, must first pass the white glove Martha Stewart test!!

Customers be Aware of Home Depot's Return Denials thru a Third Party

I tried to return a product that was completely sealed (not opened) with a receipt and had been paid by my valid credit card. It was denied with no justification. They pointed me to their third party, Retail Equation (TRE). I contacted TRE thru their web site. Again, no justification. They claimed I had no receipt - a total lie. I have been a loyal customer of Home Depot for years and have spent tens of thousands of dollars as a Pro customer in the last 10 years. No more. The returns now are treated like the Insurance companies: Deny, deny, deny, for no legit reason. Shame on you Home Depot for contracting with a party that has sold you their cool aid. My return was not a fraud.

TOTAL CREEPS

The creepiest creeps of all creeps. Way overpriced. They have cameras all over everywhere stalking customers with that very creepy beeping noise whenever someone walks by their cameras. Very hateful hostile attitudes towards customers. The self checkout registers invade customers privacy with that camera. They're all slimy creeps with their monopolistic abusive over priced crappy products designed to break and fall apart. The store has illegal aliens with fake or stolen identities.

Home Depot not holding Vendor accountable for not honoring warranty

I bought a Badger weed eater unit last November but did not open it until June. After opening and filling with gas and oil I noticed a leak coming from the engine. Smelled like a combination of gas and oil. Unit fell outside of the 90 day return policy, so I contacted the vendor to get the unit serviced at a "Local authorized service dealer" as stated in the warranty document that came with the unit. After providing proof of purchase and pictures of the broken, never used badger, I received a gas tank in the mail for me to replace. This was not the problem, I asked via email for a local service location where I could take the unit, the vendor responded by asking me to send the unit to them at my expense. I refused and repeated my request for a local service dealer. The vender stopped communication at this point. I called Home Depot customer care and asked them to advocate for the fulfillment of the warranty directly to their vendor. Customer Care wrote an email to the vendor and told me that they would call me back in 24 to 48 hours. I heard nothing back from Home Depot customer care in 8 days so I called them back. The customer care rep told me that the vendor never replied and that Home Depot could doing nothing more to hold their vendor accountable for not upholding the warranty.

Horrible delivery service - no consequences for multiple failures

Like many others experienced. Home Depot delivery of appliances is worse than horrible. Three times they said they were delivering my refrigerator from their Suitland, Maryland warehouse. First time they claimed their truck was too big to get onto the street. Second time delivery was supposed to be 7-11:30AM. They called between 5-6 AM. Shortly after 7AM they left because they didn't reach the unit's owner. He gave them my number and they never called me. Third time they again were delivering between 7-11:30. I called multiple times during the morning and they confirmed it was set for delivery. Around 10 AM they said I was #7 in delivery order and they were delivering #5 at that time. No word by 11:30. Called and they now said it would be delivered the next morning, without any explanation. Who ever is contracted to do delivery for Home Depot must have an iron clad contract or be related to an owner. They clearly know they can do anything they want without consequences. Otherwise the company would have been fired by now.

Horrible delivery serbice

Hello, Our delivery person was rude, lazy not cooperative. The service was downright horrible. We asked and paid for a delivery of a rug 12ftx21ft... he said he needed a forklift to get it off the truck bed. My husband literally came out took it off the truck bed by himself. That’s all we wanted him to do was take it off the truck ; he was rude and literally stood there as my husband took the carpet off the truck. Horrible horrible way to start off a morning and his attitude was just as bad. A very disappointed regular customer of home depot sadly disappointed .

I ordered a bag of Moss OUT on June 14

I ordered a bag of Moss OUT on June 14, and then I received a message from Home Depot saying the delivery would be delayed by 1-3 days. I have not received the product or any updates on my order. Then I called its customer service number on June 22. They said the order cannot be processed and asked me to cancel the order. No apology, no compensation.

Home Depot at SHALLOTTE NORTH CAROLINA

Home Depot at SHALLOTTE NORTH CAROLINA. I would like to write a comment about my experience with JANE EYRE at Home Depot in Shallotte north Carolina. JANE EYRE helped me with a return of a purchase that was the wrong size. JANE EYRE was very cheerful and extremely helpful. The most impressing skill JANE EYRE showed was her ability to communicate with expertise and friendliness. She showed great service for your company that you would be so proud of.She should help train your new employees and how they react with your customers. I have retired from a medical practice of 40 years and the success of my practice was determined on how we treated our patients.I really hope the CEO of Home Depot sees this review. JANE EYRE is truly a diamond in the ruff find. Hold on to her with both paws she is an exceptional employee and has been with you for a long time. Please recognize her achievements for your business, especially her many years of loyalty. Thank you HOME DEPOT YOUR PEOPLE ARE WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS HEADS AND SHOULDERS ABOVE YOUR COMPETITION!!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a…

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. Bought $6000 worth of appliances. Took a month for them to deliver. Once the delivery driver arrived, they refused to remove the old appliances I paid Home Depot to take away. After speaking with the driver and suggested he call the store, he jumped in the truck and drove away with all the appliances I had purchased. Never took them off the truck. I called Home Depot and they told me they could reschedule delivery a month away. Ended up having to cancel the order and order from Lowe’s. Should have went with Lowe’s to start with. Buyer beware. DO NOT buy from Home Depot. Worst company ever. Very bad experience and I will never spend a dime with Home Depot ever again.

FAIL DEPOT

Placed an order on Monday, 6/15. Order showed item would arrive by Friday, 6/19. Received message that says item is now arriving Saturday, 6/20. All that Home Depot has done, is packaged the item - 4 days to only package the item. The item has not even shipped yet; however, it shows it's being delivered tomorrow. Needless to say that it is more likely than not that they will not deliver on 6/20. It will probably arrive some time next week. Extremely disappointed with the logistical issues. Home Depot is a failure. The store near me does not have cashiers, and it's a mess with huge delays. Trying to cancel the order is useless. They took my money on day 1 though. Total disappointment - but what else is new.

bad search filters results

If I explicitly type in the size of the pipe I am searching for, I would expect the results to be limited to the specified size. Instead, I am presented with mostly results that have the incorrect size clearly marked. This is an astounding waste of my time, due to the very bad web design of the site.
