I took the manual and computerised bookkeeping level 3, all the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable.
The online lessons are good and the learning material is fantaisc I like having the option of digital or hard copies.
I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Poor
A while ago I was trying to find a place to study online and they came up with quite good reviews. I requested pricing information and got a call pretty much straight away with really pushy woman trying to proceed with payment within 30 mins. I did a bit more research afterwards and did end up signing up for a course with them. Main reason being I've never studied online and wanted full support.
Unfortunately there's hardly any support at all. Quite a few students on my course asked for more material on certain topic and for 2-3 weeks in row being told they'll sort something out and then after chasing it just got told that they're really sorry but there's nothing else available. So basically all you get is a book with LOADS of typos and have to figure everything out yourself. Plenty of typos and mistakes in weekly tests too. Whenever you report or question why certain answer was 'right' or there;s a mistake in it you never get any response. Most of questions will be answered with 'we've covered it in a video lesson during week 1 or similar. It's not okay, considering they're targeting people who are working and most probably won't have time to re-watch 1hr long video lesson (where there's just audio cause they have issues with camera for past 3 months) just to find answer to 1 single question which should be answered without any problem, considering you supposed to know what you're doing. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Right now just trying to get through the course myself and then definitely going for another company. They promise a lot, but hardly deliver anything at all.

I just enroll the course but I like the AVAGO design and the helpful tutor.
Poor organisation, very money orientated
Messed me around with exams, in one case waiting til the morning of an exam to tell me it was cancelled. Send obscure emails that make no sense (terrible English - unreadable). Told me I'd get a £125 award on completion of the course, then used elaborate terms and conditions to get out of paying it. Would not recommend, especially as you can get the same service elsewhere and the service can't be worse!
Very Professional
So far I found Home Learning College easy to access and easy to maintain. Also the members of staff are very professional and makes you feel very welcoming and not scared to ask as many questions as you want.

I'm sorry but I have to give them a 2. I only asked for more information on a course and they've been trying to hound me down to make themselves a sale. Phone calls and emails. I only wanted to know the price of a course. Couldn't find it anywhere. Not very transparent. Too sales orientated it seems. So I went with someone else. Don't have time for that.

**AVOID**
My experience started with this company end of July 2016. where they took A deposit and put me on to the wrong course AAT 2013 3and 4instead of AQ2016 3 and 4. I then had difficulty getting on the correct course. Then had difficulty getting on to the VLC (virtual learning centre). MY actual course (AQ2016)started on the 1st October. I have been so patient no text books received. Up to now they have taken over £500.00 and I have no way of studying. Student services are not knowledgeable.
I have been to see my local citizen advice team and I have been in contact with the Financial ombudsman. the advice given was not to have cozy chats on the phone and to get everything documented, letters/ emails etc
I was by HLC told to be patient and not to worry but I do not trust them. they were quick to take the money, too quick!
I am not studying with this company.I have also told my colleagues who were thinking about this company not to do it.

Taking a big step in to studying after a long absence is daunting and the team have been great to support and guide me along the way. The steps are well explained and help is on offer throughout the decision and registration process. After registration the support continues and whilst still a little daunted about studying again and alongside a full time job I am fully committed to undertaking this and already know the support from the team is going to give me that confidence
