I usually love shopping here. Today however, I had a different experience. The staff who were stocking the shelves were so rude, barging around, pushing past customers and never once apologising for... See more

Love homesense in general! Especially the Christmas decorations! However the autumnal/Halloween decorations have been very disappointing! There is nothing. E.g autumnal wreaths, pumpkins and candles! Such a shame...

I love homesense and shop weekly at Leeds but what I don’t like is when I now get to the til to pay I am being asked would I like to donate a pound to the princes trust ...if I wanted to donate I do not need to be asked ..I would go to the charity and donate. ..why are they asking when I am paying for goods! it’s uncomfortable and cheeky. I have nothing against charity and I give regularly but I don’t need the cashier asking me. I recommend instead that they put a collection tin at the til and that way people can chose to put cash in or not. Homesense please don’t bother with a lame response just be aware it’s pestering and very off putting

Ive experienced HORRIBLE customer service, from the LAWRENCE SQUARE LOCATION,AT ALLAN RD!
The "whole" location, does not seem to comprehend the meaning of " customer service "...
Both staff, and including current management, are both in serious need for re-trainibg, on how to interact with customers, who are the reason, they even have a job!!!
Everybody there always seems to be gloomy, and unhelpful, and lack customer service skills ,all of this location...
Staff,co ordinaters, current management, etc.
HIGHLY recommended to avoid this location,if you expect a pleasurable shopping experience!

We brought a mirror from Homesense in December 2019 and we kept noticing small amount of dust under the mirror kept appearing. When we researched more, we learned that this was word worm. On advice from Homesense, we disposed of the mirror but they are still refusing to give us our money back as we don't have a receipt. I want to make as many people aware as possible that this company is selling rotten products with wood rot that could infect your entire home and that they will not give you your money back. Avoid this shop at all costs.

I was shopping at Homesense in Orangeville.
There were people allowed to walk around the store without a mask on even though there is a bylaw that says a mask must be worm in all public places. Even worse , I was directed to go to a cashier who was working directly between two other cashiers without following the social distancing guidelines. I pointed out that they are supposed to use every other cash to leave space between customers. The client at the cash next to me was not wearing a mask.
All I got as a response was a shoulder shrug.
They are breaking the law and don't care about customers' safety.
Will not be shopping there anymore.

Raised a complaint and fed back to customer service by team about the awful customer service at Shirley Solihull Homesense and tkmax. I received a ten pounds voucher and a thank you for contacting us... No feed back re issues no we have taken issue son board or any acknowledgement of issues or we will fix improve or appologies. So I popped back to just check if anything had changed. I wasn't surprised to find logic and helpful polite staff were still void in the shops and was advised it was down to company policy?!. Whilst in home scence I picked up an item which was marked reduced orginal price £9.99 reduced to £10 I pointed out this wasn't actually a reduction. As they had increased the price. I was advised they increase prices before the have a sale . So yes original it was £9.99 then they had a reduction planned so the pice should have been increases then reduces to the higher price of ten pounds. But they hadn't bothered increasing the price prior to reducing it. It was still as original priced by their their management team and buyers who are apparently the only ones whom price items. So I pointed out they had increased the price of the items and asked if they though it was ethical or even legal to fase advertise a sale? But I was advised it is just company policy and they couldn't see any issues. So it looks like they everything in in hand.

Fantastic place to find hidden gems. The products are unique and brilliant for Candles and Homeware, its hard to visit without buying anything :)
Their loyalty scheme is great to, highly recommend signing up, its free & you can win some lovely prizes after purchases!
Also visited HomeSence store since the new social distancing measures have been put in place, and it was fantastic service, lots of staff around monitoring the situation and only allowing select people upstairs into the homeware hall & clear directions outside and in the store.

I went to visit the Preston store home sence last Friday the 6th of February after work I had been looking forward to having a look in all week as I don't live near by but was working near by planned to have a good look around.
As I drove to the shop I could feel that my tyre had gone flat I parked up and looked ! yes flat as a panache down to the rim!
I was panicking how I was going to get home as I didn't have a spare so thought I go ask around for a pump!
I approached Helen and Vicky on the ground floor and told them my situation, they new I was worried and were reassuring me that we can get it sorted luckily one of the ladies had an electric pump , they both could not help me enough, as i didn't no how to work the pump they came out into the cold outside and helped me and waited till all was ok !
I cant thank them enough for their kindness and helpfulness and took the worrying situation out of my hands and dealt with it !
looking forward to returning to the store and be able to have a good look around!
wonderful helpful staff thankyou again Helen and Vicky

HomeSense in Coventry is the go to shop for anything household. The range and variety. WOW!!! The quality. Incredible!!! High end names at incredible prices. The service. Exceptional!! The prices. Fantastic!! Beware this store is addictive. The turnover of stock is fast paced so if you see something and like it, buy it. One important comment: shopping on the High Street is about experience, interaction as well as purchase. The team at this store are 5 star. I wish I could remember all names. Recently Chloe was incredibly helpful. Items are taken out to your car, taken to the till.... However this review would not be complete without mentioning Linda. If this lady worked in Harrods or Fortnum & Mason she would be the norm. Her knowledge, her recommendations, her helpfulness - first class service through and through. A small suggestion: why not have a small coffee shop and I think this would attract more customers and why not have larger premises as this would allow more space to display stock. If you are looking for something different, a present, an item for the home this store is a must!!

My sisters and I shopped at home sense , Milton Keynes (Kingston ctr) Branch. They were visiting the uk for 1 week and After shopping quite a substantial amount, they wanted to be able to claim back tax at the airport on uk exit. The first day, the Branch manager told us he ya about to close the store and to go back the next day earlier to have the form filled. Took a taxi there next day and the person in charge on the day had a different story . Went back 3rd time and manager (same as on day one) this time said he has no stationary!!! And hasn’t had it for a while. Why didn’t he say that the first day instead of us taking a taxi 3 days!!!! Poor attitude from him that left a bad taste in my mouth. Sister store TK MAXX was so cooperative and easily printed the tax form for their refund. Thumbs down to the manager at Homesense Milton Keynes

On January 18th I bought a love seat from the store on Merivale. Before buying it I asked the store if they offer delivery service. I was given a tiny piece of paper with the information "Adam Installer". Called them to ask details abut the cost and time of. I was advised to send them an email with all information and they would get back to me.
three days later, January 21st and still no one contacted me,
Went back to the store to ask about this delivery company, who they are and if they really exist.
The store manger (that is how she introduced herself but later found out that she is he next in rank) did not even take time to listen to what I had to say. She cut me off in the middle of my speech and suggested that I should get my money back. I tried to explain that after I purchased the love seat, my old one went to the garbage and I needed it. She asked for a "confirmation" paper and disappeared somewhere at the back of the store. The cashier spoke on bluetooth with someone ( maybe that manager) and advised that I could get my money back. Which I did.
My advice to you is to find your own mean of shipping the stuff. Do not count on the store or that phantom company.
The Upper Management should train their employees regarding of the rank the basics of customer service. Communication, empathy, conflict resolution, problem solving, just to name a few.
Now I realize that the person I spoke with did not introduce herself nor wore a name badge. That would have helped to name her, specifically, for the refresher training.

Zero stars.
I purchased a xmas ornament for the table and put the tea light in it. It suddenly split the glass and projected it across the room. It landed on the rug burning it. The company ignored my pictures of the rug and offered a gift card to use in store -( to buy more hazardess items perhaps). The cheaply made Indian ornament's they sell are clearly a fire hazard and may set fire to a house if left alone. Beware of the danger because home sense are not particular fussed - they must be making them a profit.

Visited the Castle Marina store and the staff have always been very pleasant and keen to help. I purchased a sofa last week and they arranged delivery with a company that they use. When the man rang to get directions he mentioned payment and quoted £10 more than what had been agreed and had been written on my confirmation receipt so I stated I would only be paying what I had agreed. When they arrived It was like watching Laurel & Hardy at work. Firstly they parked that close to the front of the house that when they went to bring the sofa in they realised they hadn’t left enough room to manoeuvre the sofa out of the van. The van then wouldn’t start so they had to pull and turn until they managed to just get the sofa out. Into the house and they were walking in with the sofa, they had a clear run and for some reason the leading guy who was walking backwards decided to turn the sofa to an angle instead of just walking straight and chipped a big piece of wood out of one of my door frames with the sofa leg (this is new build that I hadn’t moved into yet). There was no offer to sort out a repair to the frame.
I went into Homesense yesterday and ordered another sofa for delivery next week and mentioned what the delivery man had done on his previous visit. The lovely lady I spoke to apologised on their behalf but said that there was nothing Homesense could do about that. There will not be a repeat of this with my next delivery because I will making them take the sofa around the back.
I know it’s not the fault of Homesense but they need to make sure they use people who know what they are doing because it reflects badly on their company name.
The only funny part of the day was the fact they were stuck on my drive for at least 30 mins until they got the van going :)

I feel compelled to write this today as so thrilled with the staff I dealt with.
To my horror, yesterday evening after leaving the store at 4.30pm I eventually came home at 8pm. It was then that I started checking my receipts when I realised I didn’t have my purse in my bag. After hunting frantically in my car and not finding it anywhere I could only think that I must have lost it in HomeSense.
By this time it was 8.20pm and after the store was closed but I decided to call and hope it would be answered. A man answered and after explaining, they investigated in “lost property “ and they had it!
I asked if I could go straight there and he said I could. When I arrived I called and a lady came to the front with my purse and said they had looked through it to see if I had contact details in there. I had quite a lot of cash in there and all my cards too so I can’t explain how relieved I was.
To the management of this store, can you please thank your staff as I am so grateful for their honesty.
