My son paid for 3 days service as…

My son paid for 3 days service as proven by his bank account. TV did not work he rang their customer service only to be told they would get back to him, so far no reply. This is diabolical my wife has just had a stroke combined with cancer she is not in a good place. These heartless grifters charge phenomenal amounts for a service which they are obviously not willing to provide. This needs to be addressed by MPs and the hospitals. She is in Whiston hospital Merseyside.

Absolutely diabolical company they take…

Absolutely diabolical company they take your money which is £20 for 3 days which in itself is extortionate, a lot of people in hospital just cannot afford that. Then you can’t get the channels you’ve paid for. We paid for 7 days and was cut off 5. It’s an absolute joke there must be some way of a refund.

Where to begin?

Where to begin? My elderly father has been in hospital for three weeks, I live a long way away, so have been trying to phone him. You're charged even when he doesn't pick up (Most of the time: the phone is folded away well out of his reach). I've spent about a tenner just listening to their disclaimer telling me how much the call is going to cost me.
As for the tv- as technology improves this business model seems more and more unethical. I'd imagine that most people nowadays have tablets/ phones to entertain themselves, so it's increasingly only the elderly and vulnerable who would need this service- and as such £20 to watch free to air TV for three days feels uncomfortably like extortion.

Total waste of money

Total waste of money. Unable to watch TV on the 2nd day due to problem with screen. No one contacts, you back and making any contact with them is impossible.i spent £19.90 on 3 day package and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I feel they should do a complete overview on the system and a full refund should be given.

I paid £20 for 3 days TV.
I thought the picture resolution would be poor?
What I didn't expect was the TV to cut out because there was 'NO SIGNAL' this happened on all 3 days.
I could not watch what I wanted. Made my stay even longer and more unbearable.
I've been scammed !!!!!!!!! : (

Scam artists driving calls to premium numbers

Hospedia offers free WiFi at limited speed, with options to pay for faster speeds for streaming. Except you can't create a user account to log into the free service, it won't recognise your email (because there has never been an existing account) and to reset a password that has never existed, you have to call a premium number. Scammers, fully backed by a government to have a complete monopoly on phone, TV and internet services for a literally captive audience.

If there was an option I would have given them a minus score. I paid an extortionate amount for the sky sports channels, mainly for the cricket channel which has been off for 3 days now despite numerous calls to customer service.

I would give zero stars but that wasn’t available. Dad on stroke ward. TV reported and “fixed” 4 times in 3 days. Still doesn’t work. Their so called customer services couldn’t give a monkeys. Leaving a vulnerable old man with nothing to watch or listen to for day after day is dreadful. And don’t get me started on the astronomical charges. Disgusting. NHS should contract to someone else. They are surely in breach of it!!

Money grabbing company making a profit from the sick!

I think it's a disgrace to charge the prices they do for TV and calls which are premium rate. Luckily I have a tablet and access to TV on that. Aswell as a mobile phone. Hopefully patients will become smart and completely boycott this money grabbing service. Taking advantage of the sick! It's actually cheaper to have a TV if your in prison! Fancy that! I've read Wikipedia and honestly it's a shocking eye opener of a read!

Horrendous

Horrendous. Everything about it. My dad was in hospital after a stroke for 7 months, most of the time without any entertainment because Hospedia is so complicated to sign up for and also so overpriced. I can't imagine how much it would have cost to have access for that period of time. Especially as he was still contracted and paying the bills on his streaming service at home. Unbelievable the ill have to pay for a basic service whilst at their most vulnerable. His unpleasant experience led him to refuse to go into hospital and as a result he's extremely unwell.

This service is outdated

This service is outdated, expensive and of poor quality. My mother was in a side ward completely isolated and in need of the service for her wellbeing. Engineer was requested for Thursday who then attended the following Monday.
Not a good service if I was honest it wouldn't even get 1 star. Mr Rice

Terrible quality and service to the…

Terrible quality and service to the extent of being fraudulent. We paid for the TV for elderly parent who couldn't easily read from lying prone position. No sound because there are no headphones, no sky cricket although this is why we paid for it, took up almost all of our visiting time to try to set it up, wasted nurse and doctor time, service phone number wouldn't work. These should be removed from hospitals.

My 83 old Father was in hospital for 10 days last month, and he was admitted again yesterday. He doesn't read so the only thing to keep him entertained in the hospital is the TV. It is costing £10 per day, which is extortionate when he is only on a state pension and is entitled to a free TV licence. He doesn't choose to be in hospital so why should he have to pay to watch TV!
