My family and I stayed at Hotel Grand Alleppey for a few days in July, and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant experiences we’ve had in Kerala. The hotel is fully vegetarian and every meal we had there was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The food was so good that I even thought of turning vegatarian for the first time in my life!
The staff deserve special mention—they were consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay comfortable. From the smooth check-in to the way they handled every small request, their professionalism stood out. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a perfect mix of comfort and simplicity.
The location was also convenient for exploring Alleppey, right in the center of town yet quiet enough for peaceful rest after a day of sightseeing. Overall, Hotel Grand Alleppey exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a vegetarian-friendly hotel with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is an easy recommendation. The staff including the doorman , security , reception all are professional.
Just a minor hiccup though. They have different kinds of masala dosas. Once for dinner I ordered a normal masala dosa but the waiter served me with a mushroom masala dosa which I did not prefer and left it unfinished. It looked the same and I only knew after I had eaten a couple of morsels. I don't know if he was acting smart as they probably need to get rid of items which aren't sold much. He later came and apologised and I left it at that as I am not much of a fuzzy eater.
