Unfortunate experience with Hotel Sonya, Booking com and Hotels com
The Hotel was nice. Great location, easy access from train station and nice room. However I would suggest them to check up with their agreement with Booking Com and/or Hotels Com.
Booking with Hotels Com weeks in advance of my stay, they asked me to accept a prepayment for my hotel and pay the rest at the hotel. Weeks later I notice a bank transaction from Booking com and not hotels com, also the prepayment is slightly larger than expected.
Realizing that Booking com and Hotels com have a collaboration and that the larger prepayment could’ve been due to currency changes, I make no further notice at this point
Arriving at the Hotel Sonya I am asked to pay the full payment, as they don’t have an agreement with Hotels com to make a prepayment. They are aware of this happening though.
More than a month after my vacation I have succeeded in getting my money back.
Be carefull using one of the sites Booking com, Hotels com and/or Hotel Sonya. Being unjustly charged +25% ekstra for accommodation is not okay and to use so much time to get the money back is in no one’s interest.
