We were warned about unscrupulous firms operating in this field but HBB were emphatically not one of these. The deal is you sell your house below the market price and the gap closes if you factor in the expense you save like estate agents, legal fees and of course much less stress. It suited us and from the start Dorothy guided us sympathetically through the early stages before handing over to Kerrie who was equally kind and approachable. It took about eight weeks to co-ordinate sale of our house and purchase of another and HBB kept to their offer and communicated efficiently at every stage. Highly recommended.

Ridiculous offer I had already dropped the price by £50k and they wanted to offer only 80 percent so no I won't recommend them

Cannot fault my experience with the company. I was aware I wouldn’t be getting full market value for our home and so there were no surprises. At the moment we are not in a position to continue with our move but would have no qualms with contacting them again in the future when we are in a better position.

This service was definitely not for me however, if you are absolutely desperate to sell your property and I mean desperate - this service probably would be good for you, if your not desperate don’t waste your time. We were offered far less than 80% on our property and if you live in Wales they will probably also minus the extra Stamp Duty from your offer which they explained they needed to do with us. However, the lady I spoke to was very polite and I was kept up to date throughout the whole process with realistic times scales, so I can’t fault the service in that respect.

We tried to sell through a traditional estate agent without success it was suggested that we talk to House Buyer Bureau. Initially we discounted them as their offer was very much below our expectations. Having considered the situation we decided that we could manage on a lesser figure and contacted them again. Which could mean getting our house sold without further hassle in a short space of time, getting the new property that we wanted. Our first contact was with Suzanne, she was extremely helpful and lovely to deal with, absolutely no pressure. Followed by Kerrie through the whole sale process, she was there every step of the way and always available to answer any queries also very patient when our onward move got delayed. OK we did not get the market value but we re delighted with the outcome. I would add that Aimee from the nominated solicitor was also extremely helpful throughout the whole sales process. Overall a really good experience, We would recommend HBB.

I was thinking of selling my flat and having seen an ad for the House Buyer Bureau, I made contact with them.
Although they state 'we buy any home'...they don't!
I have a modern retirement apartment and they are not at all interested in buying it.
Their ad is misleading, why is this not mentioned.
I shall now engage an established estate agent.

Dorothy & Kerrie helped my parents sell their house within a timescale to suit. They were extremely helpful and went the extra mile following an abortive sale from another house buying company. They kept me informed and updated throughout the process and could not fault them in any way. Extremely professional and ethical staff - nothing was too much trouble.

Had an initial chat, they were very open and honest about what they'd be able to offer and why. Not the right option for us right now but appreciated their advice and may return to them if my situation change.
