Cannot fault any member of staff in this store.
Anthony always goes above and beyond to help us, even outside of his working hours on more than one occasion. He’s quick to get stock into store that’s needed, and any replacements we’ve needed. We had to re design our whole kitchen due to a problem we had and even this wasn’t to much to ask of him.
He always deals with us in such a polite friendly manor even when we’ve had to go into store with our children. We will continue to use Howdens as a main supplier mainly because of Anthony and how he treats us. As well as Lisa and James on the counter who again are so pleasant and helpful every time we go into store (which is a lot!) nothing is ever to much to ask of the staff here we cannot thank or recommend them enough, they really do look after their customers! Not to mention everything we’ve purchased which is exceptional quality!

Really bad at ringing you back if you have any questions or problems. Designer not the best, came and measured up 2 days before kitchen was to be delivered, then the only 2 walls to be measured had too many units in them, so had to be adjusted. Fair few things delivered wrong. The amended quote was even more wrong than the first one, and a month down the line still waiting for amended quote! we bought the lamona induction hob with the integrated extractor, to find it was supposed to be fitted into a 1000 unit, not an 800 one, which was what we had. Managed to fit it in there, but because of the internal filter system, a leg had to be removed off the carcass and moved. You also have to butcher the carcass to make this hob fit! HOWDENS....why don't you make a unit specifically for this hob?!
The kitchen quality is good, but still waiting for their quartz worktop people to ring us. We can't ring them direct either!

We bought a kitchen from Howdens in Bridlington in early 2021, the model we chose was the hockley super Matt handle less in dove grey, it looked great in the design stage and generally Howdens were really good in the planning and advising of our new kitchen, however things have gone from bad to worse after the kitchen was fitted, not Howdens fault, we were let down by various fitters, one of which just walked out leaving the kitchen about 70% fitted, the kitchen is now fitted but we have loads of problems with it, soft closure draw mechanisms broken, doors not fitting properly a dishwasher that doesn’t seem to fit the space properly, the trim keeps falling off when the door closes. Overall for what we paid the kitchen is very poor. The manager has been out a couple of times to have a look and came out with a Howdens approved fitter the second time who seemed to understand what the problem is, but they are unwilling to supply his number so we can actually get the kitchen sorted. All they have done is supply a list of approved fitters that includes the people who left us in the lurch in the first place? They sent out a new draw mechanism but no advice or guidance on how to fit it?

We have been trying to get the Bridlington branch to help us remedy the situation ever since, the manager stopped returning emails or calls, and when I asked a staff member if we could get the number of the guy who came out with the manager I was told it was more than her job was worth to share it?

We don’t expect the work it needs to be done for free, happy to pay but we just want the kitchen we paid for, not a poor version of it?

I wouldn’t recommend the hockley handleless model, I think that unless your kitchen is a perfect shape with perfect 90 degree corners you just won’t get the finish they tell you you will get.

Just not worth it…
