Friendly helpful staff at the Farnborough branch, with a good product range usually in stock. If not, they will locate the nearest branch with stock for collection or get it brought to Farnborough for next day collection.

The product was set aside for collection from initial telephone enquiry.
The product was then revised and product located from Farnborough store who were extremely helpful to make the exchange and leaving credit to be collected from Camberley store on presentation of debit card.
Good job well done.

Fantastic customer service. I had a query about replacing a broken plug as the Fleet branch where I purchased my sink we’re not replying to my emails (poor customer service at Fleet which I also had when I purchased my kitchen so would recommend any locals go to Farnborough). Farnborough branch very kindly replaced the part for me free of charge when they didn’t need to do this and could have charged me. Thank you!

I stupidly thought that this flooring was going to be as good as the Karndean Flooring that I already had and if you read the below you would also think the same as it apparently has:

15 Year Medium Commercial Warranty

After just a month of being down I started to notice scratches, marks and indentations, this is certainly not what you would expect especially as this flooring is not cheap.
I have also had laminate flooring in the past and even this did not mark like this flooring has.
I called the fitter and the Farnborough Branch, they did not come out but sent an assessor who did a report which is below to be very honest this was organized by Howdens so I question how independent he was but in any case why would you expect grit to make marks on your flooring from when you come indoors?
" it is only sharp pointed objects (including small pieces of grit, etc) that are likely to cause any scratching"
Also I question what is accidental damage? I do not have a busy family house with small children throwing toys so if you have a busy household I certainly would not recommended you using this type of flooring!
If I had dropped a brick from great height I could understand but this certainly is not the case. I will now have to remove the flooring and go back to Karndean Flooring.
REPORT
The flooring is fitted to the ground floor of the customer’s home in the kitchen and living area. There
are various marks and indentations in the flooring surface and there is no dispute that these have been
caused by accidental damage. However, the customer states that the flooring has a long wear
guarantee and it is not acceptable for the flooring to mark as easily as it is doing.
I examined the flooring and took detailed photographs using a macro (close-up_ lens to enable me to
study the marks in detail. The customer had a spare piece of the flooring left over and let me bring this
away for further testing. This piece was already damaged and so could not have been re-used.
The impact and abrasion testing for all kinds of flooring involves the use of ball bearings rather than
pointed objects. I tested the spare board using a rounded titanium rod and even with very hard
pressure I could not indent or rupture the surface layer. I then used a hardened (Damascus) steel
blade. The right-angled back corner did not mark the surface. I was able to scratch the surface using
the sharp point of the blade when drawn across the surface in a cutting action, but when scraped
sideways the point did very little damage. On this basis it is my view that the surface finish of the
flooring is very durable and it is only sharp pointed objects (including small pieces of grit, etc) that are
likely to cause any scratching. The use of effective barrier mats to clean footwear when coming in from
outside is a wise precaution for any kind of flooring.
In my opinion the flooring is not faulty and the damage has been due to incidents that do not form
part of the requirements for impact and abrasion resistance.
The Branch initially said they would replace the damaged planks but there is no point as its only going to happen again!
NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE HOWDENS

I’ve been with Howdens for years. Friendly and helpful. Would be good if they could stock some board materials such as plasterboard.
