Very very very happy with the service at the depot, I have had many friends and family buy from Howdens in the past.
Have to say from
Start to finish everyone has been great, from starting my kitchen journey early on, it was not a problem with the team as they were not pushy as other companies have been and let me go at my own pace, it did not seem to be a problem.
From the day of measure Howdens came across very professional and the kitchen designer had some great options and ideas to help me make the most out of my kitchen.
Also have to say the cad team was great and made me feel welcome and all had a laugh and being in a comfortable and enjoyable environment, something I did not experience through other companies.
The price was competitive and I was always encouraged by the team with suggestions to save money, rather than the standard commission sales of up selling.
On order I was given multiple delivery dates which would be suitable for my fitter and I.
With the team we arranged a time which was delivered by beacon park, I must too compliment the driver Dave who above and beyond to help me and the builder.
There was an issue with a damaged door which the branch manager kindly sourced the next day and delivered to me which was nice to see that all the team are engaged.
Would recommend all day long, very satisfied to have had this experience.
Have told friends who have started the process.

Nightmare experience, copious amounts of damaged items, damaged items replaced with more damaged items, one unit even arrived water damaged, very poor quality overall, the fitter blamed Howdens and Howdens blamed the fitter, I was left frustrated, stranded and unsupported in the middle, Jake Cornforth was an awful fitter, he didn't give Howdens a chance to replace all the damaged items and went ahead and installed no end of damaged items with chips and dents galore in my new kitchen, there was no pricing transparency, the depot investigated a complaint I raised internally which was not impartial, the business model puts the customer in the middle and unprotected between Howdens and the fitter, fitters with Howdens accounts need monitoring and scrutiny as the one we had was not good for the reasons outlined and because he also took almost three months on our refit, did not complete the work and would not put right the things he did, he showed hostility and annoyance towards me when I was only asking him to put right the poor jobs he did and said nothing was good enough for me disregarding my right for a good quality undamaged new kitchen, it was a very distressing experience, I wouldn't buy a Howdens kitchen again and can not recommend Howdens based on my experience, I suggest buyers please beware, it was a dreadful experience, and I noticed a culture that makes out the customer is being fussy and expecting too much, vast improvements are needed, having a kitchen refit should be pleasurable and existing but that was not the case, it was instead thwart with anguish and heartache, a sorry state of affairs and one I would hope no one else experiences.
Added further to Howdens reply to my above review, Howdens response is exactly as expected, they absolve themselves of any responsibility because of their business model where there is no redress with them directly, they are not a good company as they supplied no end of damaged items, one of which was even water damaged suggesting it was stored in the rain, warped doors, and dents and chips galore ... and so on, I suspect some of the damage was caused by the fitter Jake Cornforth who fitted the damaged items but Howdens supplied some and products are of poor quality, the manager at Howdens did not comment on photo evidence showing poor quality workmanship which speaks volumes, surely Howdens have some responsibility in ensuring their trade only account holders take responsibility for their work and are competent to fit their products, the fitter persistently blamed Howdens and Howdens the fitter and neither spoke well of the other but only through me, the fitter said Howdens were fine with him and hadn't communicated anything they had said to me, the fitter said Howdens said I was being too fussy and was expecting too much, the fitter said Howdens didn't understand why I returned damaged shelves and the assistant manager at the depot informed me they're only slightly chipped, my response was to ask if there were any damaged or chipped shelves in their showroom which of course there isn't as they're in good condition in the showroom as they should also be in a customers home, as for my complaint being investigated and resolved at depot level, it was an internal biased investigation with the depot investigating themselves and head office and the area manager not engaged or involved and they call their own investigation about themselves a satisfactory outcome. My advise, buyer please beware and consider alternatives !!!

Only one person serving and was there 20 mins just to buy a fire door. Could get at builders for same price and get served. But sales girl was great. There was 3 staff members there but the other 2 had something more important than a customer

great service and prices , I'm so glad I opened up an account with you guys !
I seem to be doing kitchens all over the place at the moment and your helpful staff and competitive prices along with computer generated visuals ,make my job a lot easier to sell to the client !
Im interested in your bedroom range as being a decorations and refurbishment contractor , I think this could also be another avenue in a complete refurbishment project .
Kind regards

Quality of the kitchen is okay, as expected, but a few missing bits and wrong items turned up.
Several visits to Howdens, Torquay to sort things out, and the staff there are getting to know me. They are very friendly and helpful, so that's okay too.
Sort of average overall.
